FEILDING BOROUGH COUNCIL

RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE

PURSUANT to the Local Authorities Loans Act 1956, the Feilding Borough Council hereby resolves as follows:

“That, for the purpose of providing the annual charges on a loan of £3,500 authorised to be raised by the Feilding Borough Council under the above-mentioned Act for the purpose of erecting a house and ancillary buildings, etc., for the caretaker of the water reservoirs, the said Feilding Borough Council hereby makes a special rate of decimal nought three five of a penny (0·035d.) in the pound upon the rateable value (on the basis of unimproved value) of all rateable property of the Borough of Feilding; and that the special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of the loan and be payable yearly on the 1st day of April in each and every year during the currency of such loan, being a period of 25 years, or until the loan is fully paid off.”

The above resolution was duly passed at a meeting of the Feilding Borough Council held on the 28th day of November 1960.

“That, for the purpose of providing the annual charges on a loan of £3,600 authorised to be raised by the Feilding Borough Council under the above-mentioned Act for the purpose of purchasing a house and land and completing works incidental thereto for a staff member, the said Feilding Borough Council hereby makes a special rate of decimal nought three six of a penny (0·036d.) in the pound upon the rateable value (on the basis of unimproved value) of all rateable property of the Borough of Feilding; and that the special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of the loan and be payable yearly on the 1st day of April in each and every year during the currency of such loan, being a period of 25 years, or until the loan is fully paid off.”

The above resolution was duly passed at a meeting of the Feilding Borough Council held on the 28th day of November 1960.

TIMARU CITY COUNCIL

RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE

Reservoir Loan 1960, £29,000

PURSUANT to the Local Authorities Loans Act 1956, the Timaru City Council hereby resolves as follows:

“That, for the purpose of providing the annual charge on the loan of £29,000, to be known as the Reservoir Loan 1960, authorised to be raised by the Timaru City Council under the above-mentioned Act for the purpose of completing the works for which the Reservoir Loan 1957, £262,000, and the Reservoir Loan 1959, £28,500, were authorised, the said Timaru City Council hereby makes a special rate of one hundred and sixteen thousandths of a penny (0·116d.) in the pound upon the rateable value (on the basis of the unimproved value) of all rateable property in the City of Timaru; and that the said special rate shall be an annually recurring rate during the currency of the said loan and be payable yearly on the 1st day of April in each and every year during the currency of the said loan, being a period of 30 years, or until such loan is fully paid off.”

The above resolution was passed at a meeting of the Timaru City Council held on the 21st day of November 1960.

INVERCARGILL CITY COUNCIL

RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE

Bluff Water Supply Supplementary Loan 1960, £15,100

THAT, pursuant to the Local Authorities Loans Act 1956, and for the purpose of providing the annual charges on a loan of £15,100 authorised to be raised by the Invercargill City Council under the above-mentioned Act to complete the purposes for which the Bluff Water Supply Loan 1957, £151,000,

was raised, the said Invercargill City Council hereby makes a special rate of decimal nought two six pence in the pound (0·026d.) on the rateable value (on the basis of the unimproved value) of all rateable property in the City of Invercargill; and that the said special rate shall be payable yearly on the 1st day of December in each and every year during the currency of the loan, being a period of 35 years, or until the loan is fully paid off.

I hereby certify that the above is a true and correct copy of a resolution passed at a meeting of the Invercargill City Council held on Tuesday, 22 November 1960.

BOROUGH OF MANUREWA

NOTICE OF MAKING OF SPECIAL RATE

PURSUANT to the Local Authorities Loans Act 1956, the Manurewa Borough Council hereby resolves as follows:

“That, for the purpose of providing the annual charges on a loan of £30,000 authorised to be raised by Manurewa Borough Council under the above-mentioned Act for the purpose of completing sewerage reticulation commenced under the Sewerage Loan 1955, £208,000, and continued under the Sewerage Additional Loan 1959, £25,000, the said Manurewa Borough Council hereby makes a special rate of decimal two eight eight pence (0·288d.) in the pound upon the rateable value of all rateable property of the Borough of Manurewa comprising the whole of the Borough of Manurewa; and that the special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of the loan and be payable yearly on the 1st day of April in each and every year during the currency of the loan, being a period of 30 years, or until the loan is fully paid off.”

WAIRARAPA SOUTH COUNTY COUNCIL

TOWN AND COUNTRY PLANNING ACT 1953

Hearing of Objections to Wairarapa South County District Scheme

THE Wairarapa South County Council hereby gives notice that the hearing of objections to the district scheme will commence at the Council Chambers, Belvedere Road, Carterton, at 2 p.m. on Thursday, the 26th day of January 1961, and will continue as there arranged from time to time until all objectors and witnesses have been heard.

All persons who wish to be heard in support of or opposition to any objection shall notify the Council accordingly at least three days before that date.

The following is a summary of the subject-matters of objections received by the Council:

(1) Minister of Works on behalf of the Department of Internal Affairs: That the district scheme does not record as a place of scientific interest a wildlife refuge in the Taratahi Plain Block, and as marked on plan I.A. 52/126 deposited in the Head Office, Department of Internal Affairs, Wellington.

(2) R. J. Wilson, 2 Plimsoll Street, Carterton: That Lots 7, 8, 9, and 10, D.P. 59, have been wrongly zoned rural.

(3) D. W. King, Park Road, Carterton: Objection to the proposed motorway bypass.

ROXBURGH BOROUGH COUNCIL

TOWN AND COUNTRY PLANNING ACT 1953

Inviting Proposals for the Roxburgh Borough Council District Scheme

PUBLIC notice is hereby given that the Roxburgh Borough Council, at its meeting held on the 1st day of November 1960, has resolved to prepare for the Roxburgh Borough a district scheme as required by the provisions of the Town and Country Planning Act 1953.

Every person concerned and every local authority in the district, as defined by section 2 of that Act, is hereby invited to submit full information as to the proposals (including public works) which, in his or its opinion, should be considered in the preparation of the district scheme.

Proposals marked “Roxburgh Borough Council District Scheme” should be addressed to the Town Clerk and delivered at the Town Clerk’s office on or before the 27th day of March 1961.
