RAGLAN COUNTY COUNCIL

NOTICE OF INTENTION TO TAKE LAND

In the matter of the Public Works Act 1928.

PUBLIC notice is hereby given that the Raglan County Council proposes, under the provisions of the Public Works Act 1928, to take the portions of land described in the First Schedule hereto for road and to stop the portions of road described in the Second Schedule hereto.

A plan of the portions of land proposed to be taken and of the portions of road proposed to be stopped is open for public inspection at the office of the Raglan County Council, Waingaro Road, Ngaruawahia, during 40 days from the date of the first publication of this notice. All persons objecting to the proposal must lodge their objections in writing at the office of the council on or before the 5th day of January 1961.

PATEA BOROUGH COUNCIL

NOTICE OF INTENTION TO TAKE LAND

PUBLIC notice is hereby given that the Patea Borough Council proposes, under the provisions of the Public Works Act 1928, to take for housing purposes the parcels of land in the Borough of Patea described in the Schedule hereto; and notice is hereby further given that the plan of the land so required to be taken is deposited at the office of the Patea Borough Council, Patea, and is there open for inspection; and that all persons affected by the taking of the said land should if they have any well grounded objections to the taking of the land set forth the same in writing and send the same, within 40 days from the first publication of this notice, to the Town Clerk, Patea Borough Council, Patea.

SCHEDULE

ALL that piece of land situate in the Borough of Patea described as follows:

WELLINGTON CITY COUNCIL

NOTICE OF INTENTION TO TAKE LAND

In the matter of the Wellington City Empowering and Amendment Act 1924, the Public Works Act 1928, the Municipal Corporations Act 1954, and their respective amendments.

NOTICE is hereby given that the Wellington City Council proposes, under the provisions of the above-named Acts and all other Acts, powers, and authorities enabling it in that behalf, to execute a certain public work, namely, for a street at Moana Road in the City of Wellington; and for the purposes of such public work the lands described in the Schedule hereto are required to be taken; and notice is hereby given that a plan of the lands so required to be taken is deposited in the public office of the Town Clerk to the said Council in the Municipal Offices Building, Mercer Street, in the said City, and is there open for inspection without fee by all persons during ordinary office hours; and that all persons affected by the execution of the said public work or the taking of such lands should, if they have well grounded objections to the execution of the said public work or to the taking of the said lands, set forth the same in writing and send such writing, within 40 days from the first publication of this notice, to the Wellington City Council addressed to the Town Clerk at his said office.

SCHEDULE

ALL those pieces of land situate in the City of Wellington containing by admeasurement:

First: Sixty-six one hundredths perches (0·66p.), more or less, being part of Section 10, Owhiro District, being part of Lot 21 on Deposited Plan No. 8230, and being also the land more particularly shown on S.O. Plan 24555, and thereon coloured blue.

Secondly: One and ninety-nine one hundredths perches (1·99p.), more or less, being part of Section 10, Owhiro District, being part of Lot 22 on Deposited Plan No. 8230, and being also the land more particularly shown on S.O. Plan 24555, and thereon coloured orange.

Thirdly: Twenty-five one hundredths perches (0·25p.), more or less, being part of Section 10, Owhiro District, being part of Lot 25 on Deposited Plan No. 8230, and being also the land more particularly shown on S.O. Plan 24555, and thereon coloured sepia.

TE KUITI BOROUGH COUNCIL

RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE

Footpaths Improvement Loan 1960 of £6,000

NOTICE is hereby given that at a meeting of the above Council held on the 21st day of November 1960 the following resolution was passed.

“Pursuant to the Local Authorities Loans Act 1956 the Te Kuiti Borough Council hereby resolves as follows:

That, for the purpose of providing the annual charges on a loan of six thousand pounds (£6,000) authorised to be raised by the Te Kuiti Borough Council under the above-mentioned Act for the purpose of constructing concrete footpaths in various streets within the borough, the said Te Kuiti Borough Council hereby makes a special rate of five-sixteenths of a penny (5/16d.) in the pound on the rateable value (on the basis of the unimproved value) of all rateable property within the whole of the Borough of Te Kuiti; and that such special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of the loan and be payable yearly on the 1st day of April in each and every year during the currency of the loan, being a period of twenty-five (25) years, or until the loan is fully paid off.”
