Exemption Order Under the Motor Drivers Regulations 1940
Pursuant to the Motor Drivers Regulations 1940, the Minister
of Transport hereby orders and declares that the provisions
of clause (1) of regulation 7 of the said regulations so far as
they relate to the driving of heavy trade motors shall not apply
to the person hereinafter mentioned, but in lieu thereof the following provision shall apply:
A motor driver’s licence issued under the Motor Drivers
Regulations 1940 to the person described in column 1 of the
Schedule hereunder may authorise him to drive a heavy trade
motor in the course of his employment for the employer
described in column 2 of the said Schedule, but shall not
authorise him, while he is under the age of 18 years, to drive
a heavy trade motor for any other purpose.

Approval of Direction Indicators for Motor Vehicles
Pursuant to regulation 49 of the Traffic Regulations 1956,
the Minister of Transport hereby approves, for use on motor
vehicles in terms of regulation 17 (3) and regulation 44 (2)
of the said regulations, direction indicators of the make
specified in the Schedule hereto.
SCHEDULE
“JOKON” having an illuminated amber-coloured oscillating
arm 12¼ in. in length when extended horizontally.

Revoking Limited Speed Zones and Excluding Roads from
Speed Limitation
Pursuant to the Transport Act 1949, the Minister of Trans-
port hereby gives notice as follows:
-
That those Warrants under section 36 of the Transport
Act 1949 and regulation 27 of the Traffic Regulations 1956*
dated the 12th day of October 1955†, the 20th day of Novem-
ber 1956‡, the 8th day of January 1958§, and the 11th day
of November 1959∥, which relate to areas formerly in Rotorua
County and Rotorua Borough and now all in Rotorua Bor-
ough are hereby revoked. -
The roads specified in the Schedule hereto are hereby
excluded from the limitation as to speed imposed by section
36 of the Transport Act 1949.
SCHEDULE
Situated within Rotorua Borough:
Wairoa Road from the eastern boundary of Rotorua Borough
to a point 12 chains measured in a south-easterly direction from the junction of the said road with Ti Street.
Marguerita Street from a point 3 chains measured in an easterly direction from its junction with Hilda Street to the junction of Marguerita Street with Wairoa Road.
Sala Street from a point 40 chains measured in an easterly direction from its junction with Tryon Street to the eastern boundary of Rotorua Borough.
Hemo Road from the southern boundary of Rotorua Borough to a point 23 chains measured in a north-easterly direction from the junction of the said road with the Old Taupo Road.
Malfroy Road West from the western boundary of Rotorua Borough to a point 36 chains measured in an easterly direction from the said boundary.
Sunset Road from the western boundary of Rotorua Borough to a point 1 chain measured in a south-westerly direction from the junction of Edmund Road and Sunset Road.
Clayton Road from its junction with Pukehangi Road to the western junction of Turner Drive and Clayton Road.
No. 5 State Highway (Tirau-Napier via Rotorua and Taupo) from the northern boundary of Rotorua Borough to a point 1 chain measured in a north-westerly direction from the junction of the said State Highway and Kawaha Point Road.
Pukehangi Road.
Ngongotaha Mountain Road.

Plant Declared Noxious Weed in County of Ohinemuri
(Notice No. Ag. 7168)
Pursuant to section 3 of the Noxious Weeds Act 1950, the Director-General of Agriculture, acting under a delegation from the Minister of Agriculture for the purposes of the said section, hereby publishes the following special order made by the Ohinemuri County Council on the 9th day of November 1960.
Special Order
That, in exercise of the powers conferred on it by section 3 of the Noxious Weeds Act 1950, the Ohinemuri County Council hereby resolves and declares, by way of special order, that the following plant, added to the list in the First Schedule to the said Act by the Noxious Weeds Act Extension Order 1960, No. 113, be a noxious weed within the County of Ohinemuri.
Barley grass (Hordeum murinum)
