NOTICE OF INTENTION TO TAKE LAND
———
In the matter of the North Shore Drainage Act 1951 and
the Public Works Act 1928, and their respective
amendments.
NOTICE is hereby given that the North Shore Drainage Board
proposes, under the provisions of the above-mentioned Acts,
to execute a certain public work, namely, the construction of
a certain trunk sewer tunnel at Charles Street in the Borough
of Takapuna in connection with and as part of the main
scheme of sewerage works (known as the Amended No. 1
Scheme) proposed for the North Shore Drainage District;
and for the purposes of such public work the land (inter
alia) described in the Schedule hereto is required to be taken;
and further notice is hereby given that a plan of the land
so required to be taken is deposited in the public office of
the secretary to the North Shore Drainage Board, situated
at the corner of Lake and Esmonde Roads, Takapuna, and
is open for public inspection there, without fee, by all
persons during ordinary office hours, namely, from 8.30 a.m.
to 12 noon and from 1 p.m. to 5 p.m., on Mondays to Fridays
both inclusive. All persons affected by the execution of the
said public work or by the taking of such land who have any
well grounded objections to the execution of the said public
work or to the taking of such land must state their objections
in writing and send the same, within 40 days from the first
publication of this notice, to the secretary of the North Shore
Drainage Board at his office, corner of Lake and Esmonde
Roads, Takapuna.

folio 49.

Situated in: Borough of Takapuna.

TAKING OF LAND FOR ROAD AND CLOSING OF ROAD
———
NOTICE is hereby given that it is proposed, under the provisions of the Public Works Act 1928, to take the land
described in the First Schedule hereto for road purposes, and
to take the portion of road described in the Second Schedule
hereto for severance purposes; and notice is hereby further
given that a plan of the land so required to be taken is
deposited in the office of the Waikohu County Council at
Te Karaka and is there open for inspection; and that all
persons affected by the taking of the said land should if they
have any well grounded objections to the taking of such land
set forth the same in writing and send such written objection,
within forty (40) days from the first publication of the notice,
to the Waikohu County Council at Te Karaka.

Firstly—All that piece of land containing one rood sixteen
perches (1r. 16p.), being part Rangatira 3J 2 Block, situated
in Block IV, Waikohu Survey District, and being part of the
land comprised and described in the Deeds Register at Gisborne under No. 1/268; shown coloured orange on S.O.
Plan No. 5104.
Secondly—All that piece of land containing two roods
twelve perches (2r. 12p.), being part Waipaoa River bed,
situated in Block IV, Waikohu Survey District; shown coloured
sepia on S.O. Plan 5104.
Thirdly—All that piece of land containing two roods twenty-five perches and six-tenths of a perch (2r. 25·6p.), being part
Whaitiri 1B Block, situate in Block XVI, Mangatu, and Block
IV, Waikohu Survey District; shown coloured orange on
S.O. Plan 5221.
Fourthly—All that piece of land containing twenty-four
perches and four-tenths of a perch (24·4p.), being part

Fifthly—All that piece of land containing twenty-three

Thirdly—All that piece of land containing one acre and
thirty-six perches (1a. 0r. 36p.), being part Rangatira 3J 2
Block, being part of the land comprised and described in the
Deeds Register at Gisborne under No. 1/268; shown bordered
orange on S.O. Plan 5221.

TOWN AND COUNTRY PLANNING ACT

THE Riverton Borough Council at its meeting held on 8 April
1957 resolved that a district scheme for the Borough of
Riverton be prepared in terms of the Town and Country
Planning Act 1953. Further notice is given that the Council
has publicly notified its intention and has invited the submission of full information as to the proposals, including
public works, for the district scheme.

NOTICE OF RESULT OF POLL ON LOAN PROPOSAL

PURSUANT to section 38 of the Local Authorities Loans Act
1956, notice is hereby given that a poll of the ratepayers
of the Wanaka Water Supply Area, within the County of
Lake, taken on the 1st day of November 1960 on the proposal of the above-named local authority to raise a loan of
£49,000, to be known as the Wanaka Water Supply Loan
1960, for the purpose of providing a water supply for the
Wanaka County Township and that part of the county adjoining the township described as Sections 89/100, Block IX,
Wanaka Town, and Sections 30/35, Block XIV, Lower
Wanaka S.D., resulted as follows:
The number of votes recorded for the proposal was ..... 267
The number of votes recorded against the proposal was 85
I therefore declare that the proposal was carried.
