County Council at a meeting of the said Council held on the
14th day of October 1960.

NOTICE OF INTENTION TO TAKE LAND

THE Akitio County Council gives notice that the land registered
in the name of James McMillan, of Pongaroa, builder,
and described in the Schedule hereto is required to be taken
for road purposes.

A plan showing the land is open for inspection at the
Akitio County Council Office at Pongaroa.

All persons affected are called upon to set forth in writing
any objection to the taking of such land and to send such
writing, within 40 days of this publication, to the County
Clerk, Akitio County Council, Pongaroa.

PETONE BOROUGH COUNCIL

NOTICE OF INTENTION TO TAKE LAND

In the matter of the Municipal Corporations Act 1954, the
Public Works Act 1928, and the Health Act 1956.

NOTICE is hereby given that the Petone Borough Council
proposes, under the provisions of the above-mentioned Acts,
to execute a certain public work, namely, the provision of a
sanitary reserve; and for the purposes of such public work
the lands described in the Schedule hereto are required to be
taken; and notice is hereby further given that a plan of the
lands so required to be taken is deposited in the public office
of the Town Clerk to the said Council, situate in Jackson
Street, and is open for inspection, without fee, by all persons
during ordinary office hours.

All persons affected by the execution of the said public
work or by the taking of such lands who have any well
grounded objections to the execution of the said public work
or to the taking of the said lands must state their objections
in writing and send the same, within 40 days from the first
publication of this notice, to the Town Clerk at the Council
Chambers, Jackson Street.

SCHEDULE

THE estate or interest of the lessee in all that piece of land
situate in the Borough of Petone containing thirteen acres two
roods twenty-five decimal two perches (13 a. 2r. 25·2 p.),
more or less, being part Section 122, Maungaraki Village,
under and by virtue of Lease in Perpetuity Register as
Volume 16A, folio 230, Wellington Registry, and being part of
the land comprised and described in the said lease, which said
land is more particularly shown on Survey Office Plan No.
24718, and thereon coloured sepia.

LAWRENCE BOROUGH DISTRICT PLANNING
SCHEME

THE Lawrence Borough Council, at its meeting held on
Monday, the 17th day of October 1960, passed the following
resolutions:

(1) That, pursuant to the Town and Country Planning
Act 1953 and its amendments, the Lawrence Borough Council
resolves to prepare a district planning scheme for the Borough
of Lawrence.

(2) That, pursuant to regulation 9 (1) of the Town and
Country Planning Regulations 1960, the Council publicly
notify of its intention to prepare a district planning scheme
for the borough and invite the submissions of full information
as to proposals (including public works) for consideration
in the preparation of the district planning scheme.

(3) That, pursuant to regulation 9 (2) of the Town and
Country Planning Regulations 1960, all local authorities having
jurisdiction in the district and councils adjoining the
district be invited to submit proposals, including public works
affecting the district, which the local authority considers
should be included or taken into account in the preparation
of the planning scheme.

(4) That, pursuant to regulation 9 (3) of the Town and
Country Planning Regulations 1960, the District Commissioner
of Works be requested to supply similar information.

THE MINING ACT 1926

NOTICE is hereby given that Ardgour Run Ltd. and The Trustees
Executors and Agency Co. of New Zealand Ltd., of Tarras,
farmers, will apply to the Warden of the Otago Mining District
at Cromwell, at 10 a.m., on Wednesday, the 9th day of
November 1960, for an order authorising the shifting of the
intake of water race No. 2873 approximately 2 miles lower
down the Lindis River.

Objections must be filed in the office of the Mining Registrar,
Cromwell, and notified to applicant, whose address for service
is at the office of Brodrick and Parcell, Solicitors, Melmore
Street, Cromwell, at least three days before the abovementioned
time of hearing.
