MAKING OF SPECIAL RATE

Stormwater, Road Construction, and Sealing Loan 1959, Supplementary Loan 1960, £5,000

Pursuant to the Local Authorities Loans Act 1956, the Manurewa Borough Council hereby resolves as follows:

That, for the purpose of providing the annual charges on a loan of £5,000 authorised to be raised by the Manurewa Borough Council under the above-mentioned Act for the purpose of completing the purpose of the Stormwater, Road Construction, and Sealing Loan 1959, £50,000, the said Manurewa Borough Council hereby makes a special rate of decimal nought nine seven four pence upon the rateable value of all rateable property of the Borough of Manurewa; and that the special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of the loan and be payable yearly on the 1st day of April in each and every year during the currency of the loan, being a period of 10 years, or until the loan is fully paid off.

MOUNT ALBERT BOROUGH COUNCIL

RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE

Roading Loan 1960 of £100,000

In pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf by the Municipal Corporations Act 1954, the Local Authorities Loans Act 1956, and of every other power in that behalf enabling it, the Mount Albert Borough Council hereby resolves as follows:

That, for the purpose of providing the principal, interest, and other charges on a loan of £100,000, known as the Roading Loan 1960 of £100,000, for the purpose of reconstructing streets and carriageways in the Borough, the Mount Albert Borough Council hereby makes and levies a special rate of decimal nought seven eight four of a penny (0·0784d.) in the pound on the rateable value (on the basis of the capital value) of all rateable property in the Borough of Mount Albert; and that such special rate shall be an annually recurring rate during the currency of such loan and shall be payable yearly on the 31st day of March in each and every year during the currency of such loan, being a period of 25 years, or until the loan is fully paid off.

Given under the common seal of the Mayor, Councillors, and Citizens of the Borough of Mount Albert this 11th day of October 1960.

CENTRAL WAIKATO ELECTRIC POWER BOARD

RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE

Building Loan 1958, £131,750

Pursuant to the Local Authorities Loans Act 1956, the Central Waikato Electric Power Board hereby resolves as follows:

That, for the purpose of providing for the repayment of principal and the payment of interest and other charges on a loan of £131,750 authorised to be raised by the Central Waikato Electric Power Board under the abovementioned Act for the purpose of erecting an administrative building in the City of Hamilton, the Central Waikato Electric Power Board hereby makes and levies a special rate of 0·090 of a penny in the pound (£) upon the rateable value (on the basis of the capital value) of all rateable property in the Central Waikato Electric Power District, as the same is defined by Proclamation published in the Gazette on the 27th day of July 1939, at page 2042; and that such special rate shall be an annually recurring rate during the currency of such loan and be payable on the 15th day of October in each year and every year during the currency of such loan, being a period of 20 years, or until the loan is fully repaid.

The foregoing resolution was duly passed by the Central Waikato Electric Power Board at a meeting of the said Board held on the 19th day of October 1960.

NEW PLYMOUTH CITY COUNCIL

RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE

Pursuant to the Local Authorities Loans Act 1956, the New Plymouth City Council hereby resolves as follows:

That, for the purpose of providing the annual charges on a loan of £50,000 authorised to be raised by the New Plymouth City Council under the abovementioned Act (which said loan is the fourth issue of the Streets Improvement Loan 1958 of £200,000) for the purpose of the reconstruction and surface sealing of street, the construction of footpaths, and kerbing and channelling, the provision of storm-water drains, and the completion of an asphalt plant, the New Plymouth City Council hereby makes and levies a special rate of three-sixteenths of a penny (⅜d.) in the pound upon the rateable value (on the basis of the unimproved value) of all rateable property in the whole of the City of New Plymouth; and that such special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of the loan and be payable half-yearly on the 1st day of April and the 1st day of October in each and every year during the currency of the loan, being a period of 20 years, or until the loan is fully paid off.

The above is a certified copy of a resolution passed at a meeting of the New Plymouth City Council held on the 17th day of October 1960.

EKETAHUNA COUNTY COUNCIL

RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE

Rural Housing Loan 1960, £6,000

Pursuant to the Local Authorities Loans Act 1956, the Eketahuna County Council hereby resolves as follows:

That, for the purpose of providing the annual charges on a loan of £6,000 (six thousand pounds) authorised to be raised by the Eketahuna County Council under the abovementioned Act for the purpose of making advances in terms of the Rural Housing Act 1939, the said Eketahuna County Council hereby makes a special rate of one-twelfth (1/12) of a penny in the pound upon the rateable value of all rateable property of the whole of the County of Eketahuna; and that the special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of the loan and be payable yearly on the 1st day of September in each and every year during the currency of the loan, or until the loan is fully paid off.

Pursuant to the Local Authorities Loans Act 1956, the Timaru City Council hereby resolves as follows:

That, for the purpose of providing the annual charges on the loan of £3,000, to be known as the Stormwater Drainage Loan 1960, authorised to be raised by the Timaru City Council under the abovementioned Act for the purpose of completing the works authorised under the Stormwater Drainage Loan (No. 2) 1959 of £13,000, the said Timaru City Council hereby makes a special rate of twenty-two thousandths of a penny (0·022d.) in the pound upon the rateable value (on the basis of the unimproved value) of all rateable property in the City of Timaru; and that the said special rate shall be an annually recurring rate during the currency of the said loan and be payable yearly on the 1st day of April in each and every year during the currency of the said loan, being a period of 10 years, or until such loan is fully paid off.
