(7) Knitted piece-goods composed wholly or principally of cotton, n.e.i., plain or merely hemmed, whipped, or similarly worked, viz:
(a) As may be approved by the Minister and under such conditions as he may prescribe 3% .. .. .. 15%*
(b) Other kinds .. .. ..
192 Yarns, viz:
Cotton, silk, man-made fibres, or mixtures of the foregoing, viz:
(1) Containing in any proportion discontinuous man-made fibres or bulked continuous man-made fibres, and weighing more than 150 grammes per 9,000 metres (150 denier), viz:
(a) As may be approved by the Minister and under such conditions as he may prescribe 3% .. .. .. 10%
(b) Other kinds .. .. .. 25% .. 35%s 45% 10%
214 Chinaware, earthenware, and porcelainware, viz:
(1) Breakfast, dinner, tea, and coffee sets; cups, saucers, plates and dishes 7½d. per lb .. .. 7½d. per lb plus 40% ad val. 7½d. per lb plus 55% ad val.
(2) Other articles suited for table use, viz:

Tariff Notice—Application for Approval of the Minister of Customs
NOTICE is hereby given that applications have been made for the classification, by approval of the Minister of Customs, of the under-mentioned goods under item 214 (2) (a) of the Customs Tariff of New Zealand:
(1) Coffee pots.
(2) Cruet sets consisting of mustard, pepper, and salt containers, including stands for such sets.
(3) Egg cups, including stands therefor.
(4) Jugs, table, including jugs having a music box incorporated in the base but not including electric hot-water jugs.
(5) Sauce boats and stands therefor.
(6) Teapots and stands therefor.
(7) Toast racks.
The applications will not be dealt with until 17 November 1960 and any person wishing to submit any objection thereto should do so in writing to the Comptroller of Customs, Private Bag, Wellington, on or before 17 November 1960.

NOTICE is hereby given that an application has been made for the classification, by approval of the Minister of Customs, of the under-mentioned goods under item 155 (1) of the Customs Tariff of New Zealand:
Polishing felt 1 in. or over in thickness.
The application will not be dealt with until 17 November 1960 and any person wishing to submit any objection thereto should do so in writing to the Comptroller of Customs, Private Bag, Wellington, on or before 17 November 1960.

(1) Knitted cotton piece goods, scoured and sueded or dyed.
(2) Fleecy knitted cotton piece goods.
(3) Knitted cotton stockinette other than for use as meat wraps.
(4) Tubular knitted cotton shirtings.
(5) Knitted cotton piece goods for shirtings.
The application will not be dealt with until 17 November 1960 and any person wishing to submit any objection thereto should do so in writing to the Comptroller of Customs, Private Bag, Wellington, on or before 17 November 1960.
