RIVERTON BOROUGH COUNCIL

RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE

Pursuant to the Local Authorities Loans Act 1956, the Riverton Borough Council hereby resolves as follows:
"That, for the purpose of providing the annual charges on a loan of £8,000 authorised to be raised by the Riverton Borough Council under the abovementioned Act for the sealing of streets within the borough, the said Riverton Borough Council hereby makes a special rate of two decimal six pence (2·6d.) in the pound on the rateable value (on the basis of the unimproved value) of all rateable property in the Borough of Riverton comprising the whole of the Borough of Riverton; and that the special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of the loan and be payable yearly on the 31st day of July in each and every year during the currency of the loan, being a period of 10 years, or until the loan is fully paid off."

NOTICE OF INTENTION TO TAKE LAND

Public notice is hereby given that the Tauranga County Council proposes, under the provisions of the Public Works Act 1928, to take for road the portions of land described in the Schedule hereto.

A plan showing the portions of land proposed to be taken is available for public inspection at the office of the Tauranga County Council, Barkes Corner, Cameron Road, Tauranga, during forty (40) days from the date of the first publication of this notice. All persons affected by the taking of the land and having well grounded objections thereto are hereby called upon to set forth their objections in writing and send the same to the office of the Tauranga County Council on or before the 17th day of November 1960.

NOTICE OF INTENTION TO TAKE LAND FOR ROAD, LAND FOR USE, CONVENIENCE, OR ENJOYMENT OF ROAD, AND CLOSING OF PORTION OF ROAD UNDER THE PUBLIC WORKS ACT 1928

Notice is hereby given that the Waitomo County Council proposes, under the abovementioned Act, to take the land in the First Schedule hereto for road, to take the land described in the Second Schedule hereto for the use, convenience, or enjoyment of road, and to close portion of the road described in the Third Schedule hereto; and notice is hereby further given that a plan of the land so required to be taken is deposited in the public office of the Clerk of the above Council, situated at Te Kuiti, and is open for public inspection, without fee, by all persons during ordinary office hours. All persons affected by the taking of the said land or the closing of the said road who have any objections thereto must state their objections in writing and lodge same at the office of the County Clerk within 40 days from the date of the first publication of this notice.

HASTINGS CITY COUNCIL

NOTICE OF INTENTION TO TAKE LAND FOR RESERVES AND PUBLIC ROAD

In the matter of the Public Works Act 1928 and in the matter of the Municipal Corporations Act 1954.

WHEREAS it is provided by section 305 of the Municipal Corporations Act 1954 that in order to provide for the health, amusement, and instruction of the public the Council may take, purchase, or otherwise provide and maintain land and buildings within or without the district to be used as or for the purposes of pleasure grounds, sports grounds, rifle ranges, gymnasium, physical training schools, gardens, zoological gardens, music and dance halls, libraries, museums, and art galleries:

And whereas it is provided by section 11 of the Public Works Act 1928 that land required for any public work may be taken if for a local work by the local authority:

And whereas it is the intention of the Hastings City Council to provide and maintain further land within the City of Hastings to be used as sports grounds and public road.

Now therefore notice is hereby given that the Hastings City Council proposes, under the aforesaid provisions and other provisions of the Municipal Corporations Act 1954 and
