NOTICE OF DISSOLUTION

To Whom it May Concern

Notice is hereby given that the partnership heretofore carried on by James Dale Rankin and Sydney Willetts, both of Rotorua, cartage contractors, carrying on business at Rotorua and elsewhere under the name of “Rotorua-Tauranga Daily Freight Service” has been dissolved as from the 31st day of August 1960.

The business heretofore carried on by the said partners shall be carried on at the same address by the said James Dale Rankin under the same name or style.

All persons owing money to and/or having accounts or claims against the partnership are requested to pay and/or render the same to Messrs Gregory and Hinton, Public Accountants, of Rotorua, on or before the 25th day of November 1960.

Sydney Willetts will also be carrying on the business of a general carrier on his own account from Rotorua.

NOTICE is hereby given, pursuant to section 405 of the Companies Act 1955, that S. Oppenheimer and Co. Inc., duly incorporated in West Virginia, U.S.A., and having its Head Office for New Zealand at 208A Lambton Quay in the City of Wellington, intends to cease to have a place of business in New Zealand on the expiration of three months from the date of publication of this notice.

TAKAPUNA BOROUGH COUNCIL

RESOLUTION MAKING AND LEVYING SPECIAL RATE

Takapuna Streets Improvements Loan 1952, £200,000 (Part Issue of £20,000)

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf by the Local Authorities Loans Act 1956, the Takapuna Borough Council hereby resolves as follows:

“That, for the purpose of providing the interest and other charges on Streets Improvements Loan 1952, £200,000 (part issue of £20,000), being the sum of twenty thousand pounds (£20,000), authorised to be raised by the Takapuna Borough Council by way of special loan under the above-mentioned Act for the purpose of carrying out permanent improvements to streets, including where necessary, formation of streets to permanent levels, kerbing and channelling, bitumen sealing, and the provision of storm water drains within Ward A of the Borough of Takapuna; the Takapuna Borough Council makes and levies a special rate of decimal nought seven six pence (0·076d.) in the pound (£) on the rateable value (on the basis of the unimproved value) of all rateable property in Ward A of the Borough of Takapuna; and that such special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of such loan and be payable yearly on the 1st day of July in each and every year during the currency of such loan, being a period of ten (10) years, or until the loan is fully paid off.”

The above resolution was passed at a meeting of the Takapuna Borough Council held on 4 October 1960.

PUTARURU BOROUGH COUNCIL

RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE

Sewerage Extension Loan 1960

PURSUANT to the Local Authorities Loans Act 1956, the Putaruru Borough Council hereby resolves as follows:

“That, for the purpose of providing the annual charges on a loan of £42,000 authorised to be raised by the Putaruru Borough Council under the above-mentioned Act for extending the sewerage reticulation in the Borough, to be known as phase 2, the said Putaruru Borough Council hereby makes a special rate of 1·115d. in the pound upon the rateable value (on the basis of the unimproved value) of all rateable property of the whole of the Borough of Putaruru; and that the rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of the loan and be payable yearly on the 15th day of April in each and every year during the currency of the loan, being a period of 25 years, or until the loan is fully paid off.”

I hereby certify that the foregoing resolution was passed at a special meeting of the Putaruru Borough Council held on the 26th day of September 1960.

CENTRAL HAWKE'S BAY ELECTRIC POWER BOARD

RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE

Reticulation Loan 1960, £20,000

THAT, pursuant to the Local Authorities Loans Act 1956, the Central Hawke’s Bay Electric Power Board hereby resolves as follows:

“That, for the purpose of providing the annual charges on a loan of twenty thousand pounds (£20,000) authorised to be raised by the Central Hawke’s Bay Electric Power Board under the above-mentioned Act for further reticulation of the board’s district and for constructing buildings, the said Central Hawke’s Bay Electric Power Board hereby makes a special rate of five one hundredths of one penny in the pound upon the rateable value (on the basis of the unimproved value) of all rateable property in the Central Hawke’s Bay Electric Power Board District; and that the special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of the loan, being a period of 20 years, or until the loan is fully paid off.”

I certify that the above is a true and correct extract from the minutes of the Central Hawke’s Bay Electric Power Board at a meeting held on Thursday, the 13th day of October 1960, and at which the resolution was duly passed.

RANGIORA BOROUGH COUNCIL

RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE

Pensioners’ Flats Loan 1960, £16,000

PURSUANT to the Local Authorities Loans Act 1956, the Rangiora Borough Council hereby resolves as follows:

“That, for the purpose of providing the annual charges on a loan of £16,000 authorised to be raised by the Rangiora Borough Council under the above-mentioned Act for the purpose of providing suitable accommodation for aged people, namely, pensioners’ flats, the Rangiora Borough Council hereby makes a special rate of decimal three six seven pence (0·367d.) in the pound upon the rateable value of all rateable property in the whole of the Borough of Rangiora; and that the special rate shall be an annually recurring rate during the currency of the loan and be payable yearly on the 1st day of April in each and every year during the currency of the loan, being a period of thirty (30) years, or until the loan is fully paid off.”

WYNDHAM TOWN COUNCIL

NOTICE OF RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE

PURSUANT to the Local Authorities Loans Act 1956, the Wyndham Town Council at a meeting of the Council held on the 4th day of October 1960 resolved as follows:

“That, for the purpose of providing the annual charges on a loan of £3,000 authorised to be raised by the Wyndham Town Council under the above-mentioned Act for the purpose of sealing of roads, the said Wyndham Town Council hereby makes a special rate of 4d. (fourpence) in the pound upon the rateable value of all rateable property of the Wyndham Town District; and that the special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of the loan and be payable yearly on the 31st day of March in each and every year during the currency of the loan, being a period of eight years, or until the loan is fully paid off.”
