WAIKATO COUNTY COUNCIL

RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE

PURSUANT to the Local Authorities Loans Act 1956, the Waikato County Council hereby resolves as follows:

"That, for the purpose of providing the annual charges on a loan of £8,000 authorised to be raised by the Waikato County Council under the above-mentioned Act for building a public hall at Matangi, the said Waikato County Council hereby makes a special rate of 0·14058d. in the pound upon the rateable value of all rateable property appearing on the special roll of the Matangi Hall special-rating area; and that the special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of the loan and payable yearly on the 14th day of August in each and every year during the currency of the loan, being a period of 20 years, or until the loan is fully paid off."

RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE

Victoria Street Water Loan 1960, £4,000

PURSUANT to the Local Authorities' Loans Act 1956, the Rangiora Borough Council hereby resolves as follows:

"That, for the purpose of providing the annual charges on a loan of £4,000 authorised to be raised by the Rangiora Borough Council under the above-mentioned Act for the purpose of extending water reticulation to the southern end of Victoria Street, the Rangiora Borough Council hereby makes a special rate of decimal one four pence (0·14d.) in the pound upon the rateable value of all rateable property in the whole of the Borough of Rangiora; and that the special rate shall be an annually recurring rate during the currency of the loan and be payable yearly on the 1st day of April in each and every year during the currency of the loan, being a period of twenty (20) years, or until the loan is fully paid off."

RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE

Weston Water Supply Loan 1960, £29,000

THAT, in pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it by the Local Authorities Loans Act 1956, the Waitaki County Council hereby resolves as follows:

"That, for the purpose of providing the interest and other charges on a loan of twenty-nine thousands pounds (£29,000) authorised to be raised by the Waitaki County Council under the above-mentioned Act for the purpose of providing a water supply for the Weston Water Race District, the said Waitaki County Council hereby makes and levies a special rate of 0·7d. in the pound (£) upon the rateable value (on the basis of the unimproved value) of all rateable property in the special-rating area comprising the Weston Water Race District; and that such special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of such loan and be payable yearly on the 1st day of September during the currency of such loan, being a period of twenty (20) years, or until the loan is fully paid off."

RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE

Street Sealing and Construction Loan 1960, £13,000

THAT, in pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf by the Local Authorities Loans Act 1956, the Ohura Town Council hereby resolves as follows:

"That, for the purpose of providing the annual charges on a loan of £13,000 authorised to be raised by the Ohura Town Council under the above-mentioned Act for the purpose of construction and sealing of town streets of Ohura, the said

Ohura Town Council hereby makes a special rate of one shilling and sixpence (1s. 6d.) in the pound upon all the rateable unimproved values within the Ohura Town Council area; and that the special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of the loan and be payable on the 1st day of October and the 1st day of April of each and every year during the currency of the loan, being a period of 12 years, or until the loan is fully paid off."

Water Supply Completion Loan 1960, £55,000

"THAT, pursuant to the Local Authorities Loans Act 1956 and for the purpose of providing the annual charges on a loan of £55,000 authorised to be raised by the Invercargill City Council under the above-mentioned Act for the purpose of completing the works required for the supply of water to the City from the Oreti River at Branxholme, the said Invercargill City Council hereby makes a special rate of decimal nought nine nine pence in the pound (0·099d.) on the rateable value (on the basis of the unimproved value) of all rateable property in the City of Invercargill; and that the said special rate shall be payable yearly on the 30th day of September in each and every year during the currency of the loan, being a period of 30 years, or until the loan is fully paid off."

NOTICE OF INTENTION TO TAKE LAND

In the matter of the Public Works Act 1928

NOTICE is hereby given that the Auckland City Council proposes, under the provisions of the above-mentioned Act, to execute a certain public work, namely, parking purposes; and for the purpose of such public work the land described in the Schedule hereto is required to be taken; and notice is hereby further given that a plan of the land so required to be taken is deposited in the public office of the Town Clerk at the Town Hall, Auckland, and it is open for public inspection, without fee, by all persons during ordinary office hours.

All persons affected by the execution of the said public work or by the taking of such land who have well grounded objections to the execution of the said public work or to the taking of the said land must state their objections in writing and send the same, within 40 days from the first publication of this notice, to the Town Clerk, Town Hall, Auckland.

NOTICE OF CONSENT TO A SPECIFIC DEPARTURE FROM THE PETONE BOROUGH DISTRICT SCHEME

NOTICE is hereby given that the Town and Country Planning Appeal Board at Wellington on the 30th day of June 1960 consented to a specific departure from the provisions of the Petone Borough Council's operative district scheme by:

(a) Rezoning from "General Industrial Purposes" to "Residential" all that piece of land situated in Jackson Street, Petone, held for State housing purposes and comprising part of Section 10, Hutt District; and

(b) By permitting the construction of residential flats on the said land for housing purposes at a density of 6·6 perches per household unit.
