Revocation of Appointment of Mangatete Domain Board and
Appointment of New Board

Pursuant to the Reserves and Domains Act 1953, the Minister
of Lands hereby revokes the appointment of the Mangatete
Domain Board as published in Gazette, 22 July 1954, Vol. II,
page 1183, and appoints the Mangonui County Council to be
the Mangatete Domain Board to have control of the reserve
described in the Schedule hereto, subject to the provisions of
the said Act, as a public domain.

SCHEDULE

NORTH AUCKLAND LAND DISTRICT

Section 10, Block III, Takahue Survey District: Area, 5
acres 2 roods 4 perches, more or less. (S.O. Plan 28063.)

Appointment of Resident Commissioner of the Cook Islands

Pursuant to the Cook Islands Act 1915, His Excellency the
Governor-General has been pleased to appoint

Albert Oliver Dare, Esquire,
to be Resident Commissioner of the Cook Islands with effect
from the 1st day of January 1961.

Members of Assessment Court for Farm-land List for
City of Hastings Appointed

Pursuant to section 10 of the Urban Farm Land Rating Act
1932, His Excellency the Governor-General has been pleased
to appoint

John Franklin Hunt, insurance agent, of Hastings,
to be a member of the Assessment Court for the City of
Hastings, and also to appoint

William Searle Sheppard, solicitor, of Hastings,
on the recommendation of the Hastings City Council, to be
a member of the said Assessment Court.

Patriotic Council, to be a member of the New Zealand
Patriotic Fund Board in place of Edgar Rollo Neale, Esquire,
O.B.E., deceased.

Varying a Notice Declaring Parts of a Tribal District to be
Tribal Committee Areas Under the Maori Social and
Economic Advancement Act 1945

Pursuant to section 14 (2) of the Maori Social and Economic
Advancement Act 1945, the Minister of Maori Affairs hereby
varies the notice dated 19 August 1948, and published in the
Gazette, 26 August 1948, page 1060, declaring parts of the
Ranginui Tribal District to be tribal committee areas for the
purposes of the said Act, by deleting from the Schedule
thereto the description of the Tukairangi Tribal Committee
area.

Declaring Parts of a Tribal District to be Tribal Committee
Areas Under the Maori Social and Economic Advancement
Act 1945, and Consequential Revocations

Pursuant to section 14 of the Maori Social and Economic
Advancement Act 1945, the Minister of Maori Affairs hereby
declares parts of the Ngaiterangi Tribal District to be tribal
committee areas for the purposes of the said Act with the
respective names therein set out, and hereby revokes the notice
dated 19 August 1948, and published in the Gazette on 26
August 1948, Volume II, page 1062, in so far as it affects the
Rangataua Tribal District.

SCHEDULE

NGAITERANGI TRIBAL DISTRICT

Tukairangi Tribal Committee Area

All that area bounded by a line commencing at a point on
the shore of the Tauranga Harbour, in Block XI, Tauranga
Survey District, being the northernmost corner of Hunga-
hunga Toroa No. 1B Block; thence northerly generally to and
along the middle of the Tauranga Harbour to the middle of
the Tauranga entrance of that harbour; thence north-easterly
along a right line to the sea coast; thence north-easterly and
south-easterly along the sea coast to the northernmost corner
of Papamoa No. 2, Section 11B, in Block XI, Tauranga Survey
District; thence south-westerly along the north-western boun-
dary of Papamoa No. 2, Section 11B, to the western corner
of that section, being a point on the shore of the Tauranga
Harbour; thence due south along a right line to the middle
of that harbour; thence westerly generally along the middle
of that harbour to a point in line with the north-western
boundary of Te Ngaio No. 2 Block; thence north-easterly to
and along that boundary and the north-western boundary of
Puwhariki Block to a public road, a right line across that
road to a point in line with the north-western boundary of
Hungahunga Toroa No. 1B Block, and to and along that
boundary to the northernmost corner of the last-mentioned
block, being the point of commencement, and including
Moturiki and Motuotau Islands.

Tamapahore Tribal Committee Area

All that area bounded by a line commencing at a point on
the sea coast, being the northernmost corner of Papamoa
No. 2, Section 11B, and proceeding south-easterly along the
sea coast to the northernmost corner of Section 1, Block
IV, Te Tumu Survey District; thence south-easterly along
a right line to Trig. Station K in Block IV aforesaid; thence
due west to the middle of the Paeroa-Whakatane State
Highway; thence north-westerly generally along the middle
of that highway to a point in line with the western boundary
of Papamoa No. 2, part Section 5B; thence northerly to and
along that boundary, the western boundary of part Section
5c, the western and north-western boundaries of part Section
5D, the north-western boundary of part Section 5A,
all of Papamoa No. 2 Block, and the production of the
last-mentioned boundary to the middle of Mount Maunganui
Main Highway; thence north-westerly along the middle of
that highway to a point in line with the north-western
boundary of Mangatawa No. 8; thence south-westerly to
and along that boundary and the north-western boundaries
of Mangatawa Nos. 7A and 6 to the shore of Tauranga
Harbour; thence north-westerly generally along the shore
of that harbour to the westernmost corner of Papamoa No. 2,
Section 11B; thence north-easterly along the north-western
boundary of that section to the point of commencement.

Ngapotiki Tribal Committee Area

All that area bounded by a line commencing at the western-
most corner of Mangatawa No. 6, being a point on the
boundary of the Tamapahore Tribal Committee area herein-
before described; thence proceeding north-easterly and south-
easterly generally along the generally southern boundary
of the said area to Trig. Station K in Block IV, Te Tumu
Survey District; thence south-westerly along a right line
to Trig. Station Otara in Block V, Maketu Survey District;
thence westerly along a right line to Trig. Station Otawa
on the southern boundary of Block I, Maketu Survey District;
thence northerly along a right line to the middle of the
mouth of the Waitao Stream; thence north-easterly generally
along the shore of Tauranga Harbour to the point of
commencement.

Ngapeke Tribal Committee Area

All that area bounded by a line commencing at a point
in the middle of the Tauranga Harbour, due south of the
western corner of Papamoa No. 2, Section 11B, the said
point being a point on the western boundary of the Nga-
potiki Tribal Committee area hereinbefore described; thence
southerly along the western boundary of that area to Trig.
Station Otawa; thence north-westerly along a right line to
Trig. Station Pukunui in Block IV, Otanewainuku Survey
District; thence northerly along a right line to the south-
eastern corner of the land shown on the plan numbered
22326, deposited in the office of the District Land Registrar
at Auckland, along the eastern boundary of that land,
the eastern boundary of the land shown on the plan
numbered 14083 deposited as aforesaid, and the production
of the last-mentioned boundary to the shore of the Tauranga
Harbour; thence to and along the middle of that harbour
to a point due south of the western corner of Papamoa
No. 2, Section 11B, being the point of commencement.
