LOWER HUTT CITY COUNCIL

RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE

Stokes Valley Development Loan (No. 2) 1960, £100,000
THAT, in pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf by the Local Authorities Loans Act 1956, the Lower Hutt City Council hereby resolves as follows:

“That, for the purpose of providing the interest and other charges on a loan of one hundred thousand pounds (£100,000) authorised to be raised by the Lower Hutt City Council under the above-mentioned Act for the purpose of acquiring land, constructing streets, and developing land for housing at Stokes Valley, the said Lower Hutt City Council hereby makes and levies a special rate of two pence and four hundred and ninety-seven thousandths of a penny (2.497d.) in the pound (£) on the rateable value (on the basis of the annual value) of all rateable property in the City of Lower Hutt; and that such special rate shall be an annually recurring rate during the currency of such loan and be payable yearly on or about the 1st day of August in each and every year during the currency of such loan, being a period of five years, or until the loan is paid off.”

I hereby certify that the above resolution was duly passed at the meeting of the Lower Hutt City Council held on the 19th day of September 1960.

WELLINGTON CITY COUNCIL

RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE

Wellington City Hobson Street Flats Loan 1960 of £230,000 THE following resolution was duly passed at a meeting of the Wellington City Council held on the 5th day of September 1960:

In pursuance and exercise of the powers and authorities vested in it in that behalf by the Local Authorities Loans Act 1956 and its amendments, the Wellington City Council hereby resolves as follows:

“That, for the purpose of providing the annual charges on a loan of two hundred and thirty thousand pounds (£230,000), to be known as the Wellington City Hobson Street Flats Loan 1960 of £230,000, authorised to be raised by the Wellington City Council under the above-mentioned Act for the purpose of erecting a multi-storey block of flats, the Wellington City Council hereby makes a special rate of sixty-three one-thousandths of a penny (0.063d.) in the pound on the rateable value (on the basis of the unimproved value) of all rateable property within the whole of the City of Wellington; and that the said special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of the said loan and shall be payable yearly on the 1st day of April in each year during the currency of the said loan, being a period of thirty-five (35) years, or until the said loan is fully paid off.”

CHRISTCHURCH CITY COUNCIL

RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE

Electricity Extension Loan 1960, £250,000 IN pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf by the Local Authorities Loans Act 1956 and its amendments, and all other powers it in that behalf enabling, the Christchurch City Council hereby resolves as follows:

“That, for the purpose of providing the principal, interest, and other charges on a loan of two hundred and fifty thousand pounds (£250,000) authorised to be raised by the Christchurch City Council under the above-mentioned Act for the purpose of extending the distribution system and electrical reticulation of the Council’s electricity undertaking, the said Christchurch City Council hereby makes and levies a special rate of three thousand three hundred and fifty-seven/twenty-five thousandths of a penny (3357/25000d.) in the pound (£0.0005595) on the rateable value (on the basis of the unimproved value) of all rateable property comprised within the City of Christchurch; and that such special rate shall be an annually recurring rate payable on demand during the currency of the said loan, being a period of ten (10) years, or until the loan is fully paid off.”

The Christchurch City Council at a meeting held on the 14th day of September 1960 passed the above resolution.

SPRINGS-ELLESMERE ELECTRIC POWER BOARD

RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE

PURSUANT to the Local Authorities Loans Act 1956, the Springs-Ellesmere Electric Power Board hereby resolves as follows:

“That, for the purpose of providing the annual charges on a loan of £100,000, to be known as No. 14 Reticulation Loan 1960, authorised to be raised by the Springs-Ellesmere Electric Power Board under the above-mentioned Act for the purpose of extending and strengthening the reticulation of the Springs-Ellesmere Electric Power District, the said Springs-Ellesmere Electric Power Board hereby makes a special rate of seventwentieths (7/20) of a penny in the pound upon the rateable value (on the basis of the capital value) of all rateable property of the Springs-Ellesmere Electric Power District, comprising the whole of the Counties of Ellesmere, Springs, and Paparua, and parts of the Counties of Selwyn, Halswell, and Malvern; and that the special rate shall be an annualrecurring rate during the currency of the loan and be payable yearly on the 1st day of October in each and every year during the currency of the loan, being a period of 10 years, or until the loan is fully paid off.”

We hereby certify that the above is a true copy of and a correct extract from the minutes of proceedings of the Springs-Ellesmere Electric Power Board at a meeting held on 12 September 1960.

PALMERSTON NORTH CITY COUNCIL

NOTICE OF INTENTION TO TAKE LAND FOR THE PURPOSES OF A RECREATION GROUND

In the matter of the Public Works Act 1928 and its amendments.

NOTICE is hereby given that the Palmerston North City Council intends to take, under the provisions of the Public Works Act 1928, the following lands required for the purposes of a recreation ground:

All that parcel of land containing 2 roods 6 perches, being part of Section 388, Township of Palmerston North, being Lot 43, Deposited Plan No. 265, and being the balance of the land in certificate of title, Volume 138, folio 206 (Wellington Registry).

A plan of the said lands is deposited at the public office of the Palmerston North City Council at Palmerston North and is there open for inspection by all persons at all reasonable hours. All persons affected by the execution of the said public work or by the taking of the said lands are hereby required and called upon to set forth in writing any well grounded objections to the execution of the said public work or to the taking of the said lands and to send such writing, within 40 days from the first publication of this notice, to the Town Clerk of the Palmerston North City Council.

NOTICE OF INTENTION TO TAKE LAND

In the matter of the Public Works Act 1928 and its amendments.

NOTICE is hereby given that the Palmerston North City Council intends to take, under the provisions of the Public Works Act 1928, the following lands required for the purposes of a road:

All that parcel of land containing 22·74 perches, more or less, being part Section 420, Township of Palmerston North, being Lot 51 on Deposited Plan 15295, and being part of the land in certificate of title, Volume 576, folio 105 (Wellington Registry).

A plan of the said lands is deposited at the public office of the Palmerston North City Council at Palmerston North and is there open for inspection by all persons at all reasonable hours. All persons affected by the execution of the said public work or by the taking of the said lands are hereby required and called upon to set forth in writing any well grounded objections to the execution of the said public work or to the taking of the said lands and to send such writing, within forty (40) days from the first publication of this notice, to the Town Clerk of the Palmerston North City Council.
