Tariff Notice—Application for Determination of the Minister of Customs

NOTICE is hereby given that an application has been made for the classification, by determination of the Minister of Customs, of the under-mentioned goods under item 119 (2)(a) of the Customs Tariff of New Zealand:

1:2:3, 4, 11, 11-Hexachloro-1, 4, 5, 8, 9, 10-Hexahydro-1, 4, 5, 8 Diendo-methylene naphthalene. Benzene hexochloride. Dichlorodiphenyl trichloroethane. 2:2 bis P. chlorophenyl 1:1-dichloro ethane. 0, 0-diethyl 0-(2-isopropyl-4-methyl-6-pyrimidinyll) phosphorothioate. Not less than 85 per cent 1, 2, 3, 4, 10, 10-Hexachloro- 6, 7-epoxy-1, 4, 4A, 5, 6, 7, 8, 8A-octahydro-1, 4-endo, exo-5-8-dimethanonaphthalene-IC-Shell. Technical 90 per cent. 1, 2, 3, 4, 10, 10-Hexachloro-6, 7- epoxy-1, 4, 4A, 5, 6, 7, 8, 8A, octahydro-1, 4, 5, 6-endo, exo-5-8-dimethanonaphthalene-IC-Shell. Technical 85 per cent minimum 1, 2, 3, 4, 10,10-hexachloro- 6, 7-epoxy-1, 4, 4A, 5, 6, 7, 8, 8A-octahydro-1, 4, 5, 8-endo- endo-dimethanonaphthalene. Hexaethyl tetraphosphate. Tetraethyl pyrophosphate. Gamma isomer of benzene hexachloride.

0, O-dimethyl dithiophosphate of diethyl mercapto-succinate. Metaldehyde. Chlorfenson. EC 1, 1-bis (chlorophenyl) trichloroethanol Rohm and Hass. 0, 0-dimethyl, 0-2, 4, 5-trichlorophenyl phosporothioate. Rotenone. 1-naphthyl-N-methyl-carbamate. Mineral oils, denatured, forming stable emulsions with water, and put up specifically for agricultural spraying. Colloidal copper. Ferric dimethyl dithiocarbamate. 3, 5-dimethyl-1, 3, 5. 2H-tetrahydro-thiodiazine-2-thione. Phenyl Mercury. 2, 3-dichloro-1, 4-naphthoquinone. Pentachloro Nitrobenzene. 2, 3, 5, 6-salicylanilide. Tetramethyl thiuram disulphide.

The application will not be dealt with until 6 October 1960 and any person wishing to submit any objection thereto should do so in writing to the Comptroller of Customs, Private Bag, Wellington, on or before 6 October 1960.
