HENDERSON BOROUGH COUNCIL

RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE

Sewer Reticulation Loan 1960 of £60,000

THE following resolution was duly passed at a meeting of the Henderson Borough Council held on the 15th day of August 1960:

“Pursuant to the Local Authorities Loans Act 1956, the Henderson Borough Council hereby resolves as follows: That, for the purpose of providing the annual charges on the loan of £60,000 authorised to be raised by the Henderson Borough Council under the above-mentioned Act for the purpose of providing sewer reticulation of part of the Borough, the said Henderson Borough Council hereby makes a special rate of decimal eight eight pence (0·88d.) in the pound on the rateable unimproved value of all rateable property in the Borough of Henderson; and that such special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of the loan and be payable yearly on the 1st day of June in each and every year during the currency of the loan, being a period of 35 years, or until the loan is fully paid off, and that such special rate is hereby permanently appropriated and pledged as security for the said loan of £60,000.”

RODNEY COUNTY COUNCIL

RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE

PURSUANT to the Local Authorities Loans Act 1956, the Rodney County Council hereby resolves as follows:

“That, for the purpose of providing the annual charges on a loan of £3,500 authorised to be raised by the Rodney County Council under the above-mentioned Act for the purpose of completing the erection of new county offices, commenced under the County Office Loan 1959, £22,000, the said Rodney County Council hereby makes and levies a special rate of decimal nought two eight five pence (0·0285d.) in the pound (on the basis of the unimproved value) of all rateable property in the whole of the County of Rodney; and that the special rate shall be an annually recurring rate during the currency of the loan and be payable yearly on the 1st day of September in each and every year during the currency of the loan, being a period of 25 years, or until the loan is fully paid off.”

The above resolution was passed at a meeting of the Rodney County Council held on the 29th day of July 1960.

RODNEY COUNTY COUNCIL

RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE

PURSUANT to the Local Authorities Loans Act 1956, the Rodney County Council hereby resolves as follows:

“That, for the purpose of providing the annual charges on a loan of £67,250 authorised to be raised by the Rodney County Council by a poll of ratepayers taken pursuant to the provisions of the above-mentioned Act for the purpose of providing a water supply including reticulation for the County Town of Wellsford, the said Rodney County Council hereby makes and levies a special rate of four decimal nine five pence (4·95d.) in the pound (on the basis of the unimproved value) of all rateable property in the Wellsford Riding of the County of Rodney, also known as the Wellsford County Town, which area has been constituted a water supply area pursuant to section 266 of the Counties Act 1956; and that the special rate shall be an annually recurring rate during the currency of the loan and be payable yearly on the 1st day of September in each and every year during the currency of the loan, being a period of 25 years, or until the loan is fully paid off.”

The above resolution was passed at a meeting of the Rodney County Council held on the 29th day of July 1960.

KING COUNTRY ELECTRIC POWER BOARD

RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE

Kuratau Hydro Electric Development Loan (No. 2) 1960, £200,000

In pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf by the Local Authorities Loans Act 1956, the King Country Electric Power Board hereby resolves as follows:

“That, for the purpose of providing for the interest and other charges on a loan of £200,000 authorised to be raised by the King Country Electric Power Board under the abovementioned Act for the purpose of providing for additional costs in connection with the establishment of a hydro-electric power station on the Kuratau River, Lake Taupo, and incidental works thereto, the King Country Electric Power Board makes and levies a special rate of 3·59 (three decimal five nine) pence in the pound on the rateable value (on the basis of the unimproved value) on all the rateable property of the whole of the King Country Electric Power District; and that such special rate be an annually recurring rate during the currency of such loan and shall be payable in each and every year during the currency of such loan, being a period of 40 years, or until the loan is fully paid off.”

Certified as a correct copy of the resolution carried by the King Country Electric Power Board on the 22nd day of August 1960.

EASTBOURNE BOROUGH COUNCIL

RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE

Staff Housing Loan 1960, £14,000

PURSUANT to the Local Authorities Loans Act 1956, the Eastbourne Borough Council hereby resolves as follows:

“That, for the purpose of providing the annual charges on a loan of fourteen thousand pounds (£14,000) authorised to be raised by the Eastbourne Borough Council under the abovementioned Act for the erection of four dwelling units for staff housing, the said Eastbourne Borough Council hereby makes a special rate of point four one pence (0·41d.) in the pound upon the rateable unimproved value of all rateable property of the whole of the Borough of Eastbourne; and that the special rate shall be an annually recurring rate during the currency of the loan and be payable half-yearly on the 1st day of May and the 1st day of November in each and every year during the currency of the loan, being a period of 20 years, or until the loan is fully paid off.”

Passed at a special meeting of the Council held on the 21st day of July 1960.

WAIMAIRI COUNTY COUNCIL

SECURITY RATE

Styx Riding Works Loan 1960, £6,000

THAT, for the purpose of providing the annual charges on a loan of £6,000 authorised to be raised by the Waimairi County Council under the Local Authorities Loans Act 1956 for the purpose of reconstructing and sealing roads and constructing footpaths, the said Waimairi County Council hereby makes a special rate of 0·14680d. (pence) in the £ (pound) upon the rateable value of rateable property in the special rating area comprising the whole of the Styx Riding of the Waimairi County, and that the special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of the loan and be payable yearly on the 1st day of April in each and every year during the currency of the loan, being a period of 10 years, or until the loan is fully paid off.

NOTICE OF INTENTION TO TAKE LAND

NOTICE is hereby given that the Napier City Council proposes to execute a certain public work, namely, to provide land for building sites; and for the purpose of such public work
the lands described in the Schedule hereto are required to be taken; and notice is hereby further given that a plan of the lands so required to be taken is deposited in the public office of the Town Clerk of the said Council situated in Tennyson Street, Napier, and is open for inspection without fee by all persons during ordinary office hours.

All persons affected by the execution of the said public work or by the taking of the said lands who have any well grounded objections to the execution of the said public work or to the taking of the said lands must set out their objections in writing and send the same within 40 days from the first publication of this notice to the Town Clerk at his office aforesaid.
