Releasing Lands from the Provisions of Part XXIV of the
Maori Affairs Act 1953 (Waikato Development Scheme)
PURSUANT to section 332 of the Maori Affairs Act 1953, the
Board of Maori Affairs hereby declares that on the date of
the publication of this notice in the Gazette the land described
in the Schedule hereto shall cease to be subject to the pro-
visions of Part XXIV of the Maori Affairs Act 1953, the said
land being so subject by virtue of a notice dated 9 August
1939 and published in the Gazette, 10 August 1939, Volume
II, page 2145.

Unclaimed Property—Notice of Election by the Public
Trustee to Become Manager Under Public Trust Office
Act 1957, Part V
WHEREAS, after due inquiry, it is not known where the owner of
the property described in the Schedule hereto is or whether
he is alive or dead; and whereas the gross value of the said
property (as estimated by the Public Trustee) does not
exceed £2,000 and, for the purposes of subsection (2) of
section 80 of the Public Trust Office Act 1957, the Public
Trustee is satisfied that it is advisable that he should become
the manager of the said property. Now, therefore, the Public
Trustee, in exercise of the authority conferred upon him by
the said subsection (2), hereby elects to be manager of the
said property under Part V of the said Act.

containing 1 rood, more or less, being Section 2, Block XX,
Town of Palmerston, and being the land comprised in
certificate of title, Volume 13, folio 240, Otago Registry. The

settler.

Tariff Notice—Application for Approval of the Minister of
Customs
NOTICE is hereby given that applications have been made for
the classification, by approval of the Minister of Customs, of
the under-mentioned goods under item 269 (1) (a) of the
Customs Tariff of New Zealand:
Printers’, manufacturing stationers’, and artists’ boards and
papers weighing not less than 1¼ oz per sheet of 300
square inches, cloth-lined board, cloth-centred board, and
dry flong for the manufacture of matrices except the
following:
Mounting board, Manilla other than document manilla,
Cover board other than plain and embossed, and Duplex
board.
The application will not be dealt with until 29 September
1960 and any person wishing to submit any objection thereto
should do so in writing to the Comptroller of Customs, Pri-
vate Bag, Wellington, on or before 29 September 1960.

the under-mentioned goods under item 338 (18) (a) (i) of
the Customs Tariff of New Zealand:
Loudspeakers, viz: Diaphragm type of high-frequency
speaker for use with 35 mm. projection equipment.
The application will not be dealt with until 29 September
1960, and any person wishing to submit any objection thereto
should do so in writing to the Comptroller of Customs, Pri-
vate Bag, Wellington, on or before 29 September 1960.
