Entirety of Land Taken for Coal-mining Operations Under Part III of the Coal Mines Act 1925 in Block IV, Maramarua Survey District

COBHAM, Governor-General

A PROCLAMATION

PURSUANT to the Public Works Act 1928, and section 170 of the Coal Mines Act 1925, I, Charles John, Viscount Cobham, the Governor-General of New Zealand, hereby proclaim and declare that the entirety of the land described in the Schedule hereto is hereby taken, as for a public work under the Public Works Act 1928, for coal-mining operations under Part III of the Coal Mines Act 1925, and that, notwithstanding section 19 of the Public Works Act 1928, no part of the said land shall be deemed to be excepted out of this Proclamation; and I also declare that this Proclamation shall take effect on and after the 12th day of September 1960.

SOUTH AUCKLAND LAND DISTRICT

ALL that piece of land containing 156 acres 1 rood 30 perches situated in Block IV, Maramarua Survey District, being Section 1s of the Kopuku No. 2 Settlement. All certificate of title, Volume 683, folio 228, Auckland Land Registry.

Given under the hand of His Excellency the Governor-General, and issued under the Seal of New Zealand, this 1st day of September 1960.

A PROCLAMATION

PURSUANT to the Public Works Act 1928, I, Charles John, Viscount Cobham, the Governor-General of New Zealand, hereby proclaim and declare that the land described in the Schedule hereto is hereby taken for road; and I also declare that this Proclamation shall take effect on and after the 12th day of September 1960.

PURSUANT to the Public Works Act 1928, I, Charles John, Viscount Cobham, the Governor-General of New Zealand, hereby proclaim and declare that the leasehold estates in the land first described in the Schedule hereto, held from Her Majesty the Queen by William Maurice Elliot, of Cheviot, farmer, under and by virtue of Crown lease, Volume 322, folio 53, Canterbury Land Registry, and the land secondly and thirdly described in the Schedule hereto, held from Her Majesty the Queen by Walter John Burnett, of Cheviot, farmer, under and by virtue of Crown lease, Volume 165, folio 49, Canterbury Land Registry, and the land fourthly described in the Schedule hereto, held from Her Majesty the Queen by Strowan Pastures Ltd., a duly incorporated company having its registered office at Christchurch, under and by virtue of Crown lease, Volume 165, folio 146, Canterbury Land Registry, and the land fifthly to eighthly described in the Schedule hereto, held from Her Majesty the Queen by Leicester Elliott Pain, of Cheviot, farmer, under and by virtue of Crown lease, Volume 555, folio 34, Canterbury Land Registry, are hereby taken for the purposes of a road; and I also declare that this Proclamation shall take effect on and after the 12th day of September 1960.
