Declaring Lands in North Auckland and Southland Land Districts, Vested in the Auckland and Southland Education Boards as Sites for Public Schools to be Vested in Her Majesty the Queen

COBHAM, Governor-General

A PROCLAMATION

PURSUANT to subsection (6) of section 5 of the Education Lands Act 1949, I, Charles John, Viscount Cobham, the Governor-General of New Zealand, hereby proclaim and declare that the land described in the First Schedule hereto, being an area vested in the Auckland Education Board, and the land described in the Second Schedule hereto, being an area vested in the Southland Education Board, as sites for public schools shall be vested in Her Majesty the Queen, freed and discharged from every educational trust affecting the same, but subject to all leases, encumbrances, liens, or easements affecting the same at the date hereof.

FIRST SCHEDULE

NORTH AUCKLAND LAND DISTRICT

SECTION 29, Block IV, Whangape Survey District: Area, 2 acres and 15 perches, more or less. (S.O. Plan 21027.)

SECOND SCHEDULE

SOUTHLAND LAND DISTRICT

SECTION 953, and part of Section 3 of 406A (L.T. Plan 181A), Block XVI, Hokonui Survey District: Area, 4 acres 1 rood 34 perches, more or less. (S.O. Plan 5682 for Sec. 953.)

Part of the above-described land is all of certificate of title, Volume 49, folio 211.

As shown on the plan marked L. and S. 6/6/1043B deposited in the Head Office, Department of Lands and Survey at Wellington, and thereon edged red.

Land Set Apart as Provisional State Forest Declared to be Subject to the Land Act 1948

COBHAM, Governor-General

A PROCLAMATION

PURSUANT to subsection (2) of section 19 of the Forests Act 1949, I, Charles John, Viscount Cobham, the Governor-General of New Zealand, acting on the joint recommendation of the Minister of Lands and of the Minister of Forests, hereby proclaim and declare that the land described in the Schedule hereto, being portion of provisional State forest reserve set apart by Proclamation dated the 5th day of July 1920, and published in Gazette, 8 July 1920, Volume II, page 2118, is required for settlement purposes; and in accordance with the provisions of the said Act such land shall, from and after the day of the gazetting hereof, cease to be provisional State forest land and shall become Crown land available for sale, lease, reservation, or other disposition under the provisions of the Land Act 1948.

PURSUANT to subsection (2) of section 19 of the Forests Act 1949, I, Charles John, Viscount Cobham, the Governor-General of New Zealand, acting on the joint recommendation of the Minister of Lands and of the Minister of Forests, hereby proclaim and declare that the lands described in the First and Second Schedules hereto, being portions of provisional State forest reserves Nos. 1643 and 1721 set apart by Proclamations dated the 11th day of October 1920, and published in Gazette, 14 October 1920, Volume III, page 2844, and the 30th day of June 1924, and published in Gazette, 3 July 1924, Volume II, page 1579, are required for settlement purposes; and in accordance with the provisions of the said Act such lands shall, from and after the day of the gazetting hereof, cease to be provisional State forest lands and shall become Crown lands available for sale, lease, reservation, or other disposition under the provisions of the Land Act 1948.

WESTLAND LAND DISTRICT

PART Reserve 1643, situated in Blocks IX and X, Gillespies Survey District: Area, 377 acres 2 roods, more or less.

As shown on the plan marked L. and S. 10/98/20A deposited in the Head Office, Department of Lands and Survey at Wellington, and thereon edged red. (S.O. Plan 4946.)

SECOND SCHEDULE

WESTLAND LAND DISTRICT

PART Reserve 1721, situated in Blocks IX and X, Gillespies Survey District: Area, 15 acres 1 rood, more or less.

As shown on the plan marked L. and S. 10/98/20B deposited in the Head Office, Department of Lands and Survey at Wellington, and thereon edged red. (S.O. Plan 4946.)

Given under the hand of His Excellency the Governor-General, and issued under the Seal of New Zealand, this 26th day of August 1960.
