AUCKLAND METROPOLITAN DRAINAGE BOARD
SPECIAL ORDER
Loan No. 28 1960, £1,000,000
The Auckland Metropolitan Drainage Board, in exercise
of the powers vested in it by the Auckland Metropolitan
Drainage Act 1944 and in pursuance of the authority conferred
on it under the Local Authorities Loans Act 1956, and their
respective amendments, and in exercise of all other powers
enabling it in that behalf, doth hereby resolve by special
resolution, intended to operate as a special order, to borrow
the sum of £1,000,000 (one million pounds) for the purpose
of meeting costs and expenses and carrying out works
incidental to the first and second stage works of the Manukau
Drainage Scheme.
The foregoing special order was made by way of a
special resolution passed at a special meeting of the Auckland
Metropolitan Drainage Board and held on the 6th day of
July 1960. It was publicly notified in the Auckland Star and
the New Zealand Herald on the 9th and 23rd days of July
1960. It was confirmed at a meeting of the Board, convened by
resolution of the Board, on the 3rd day of August 1960.
The common seal of the Auckland Metropolitan Drainage
Board was hereto affixed this 3rd day of August 1960 in the
presence of:

PALMERSTON NORTH CITY COUNCIL
NOTICE OF INTENTION TO TAKE LAND FOR THE PURPOSES OF A
CEMETERY
In the matter of the Public Works Act 1928 and its
amendments.
NOTICE is hereby given that the Palmerston North City Council
intends to take, under the provisions of the Public Works
Act 1928, the following lands required for the purpose of a
cemetery:
All that parcel of land containing 15 acres 1 rood
7 perches, being part Allotment 48 of Section 415,
Township of Palmerston North; shown coloured
orange on Survey Office Plan No. 24631.
A plan of the said lands is deposited at the public office
of the Palmerston North City Council at Palmerston North
and is there open for inspection by all persons at all reasonable
hours. All persons affected by the execution of the said
public work or by the taking of the said lands are hereby
required and called upon to set forth in writing any well
grounded objections to the execution of the said public work
or to the taking of the said lands and to send such writing,
within forty (40) days from the first publication of this notice,
to the Town Clerk of the Palmerston North City Council.

NOTICE OF INTENTION TO TAKE LAND
In the matter of the Public Works Act 1928 and its
amendments.
NOTICE is hereby given that the Palmerston North City Council
intends to take, under the provisions of the Public Works
Act 1928, the following lands required for the purposes of
providing playing fields for the public and the adjoining
schools, and to implement the Council's reserve development
for this area, as shown on the Council's operative district
scheme under the Town and Country Planning Act 1953:
All that parcel of land containing 6 acres, more or less,
being part Suburban Section 249, Township of Palmerston
North; shown coloured orange on Survey Office
Plan No. 24457.
A plan of the said lands is deposited at the public office
of the Palmerston North City Council at Palmerston North
and is there open for inspection by all persons at all reasonable
hours. All persons affected by the execution of the said
public work or by the taking of the said lands are hereby
required and called upon to set forth in writing any well
grounded objections to the execution of the said public work
or to the taking of the said lands and to send such writing,
within forty (40) days from the first publication of this notice,
to the Town Clerk of the Palmerston North City Council.

evening of each week, and notices for insertion must be
received by the Government Printer before 12 o'clock of the
day preceding publication.

(2) Annual volume (including index) bound in buckram,
35s. per volume. (Volumes for years 1936–37 and
1939–42 are out of print.)
(3) Separate regulations as issued.
