Notice of Meeting of Creditors

NOTICE is hereby given that a meeting of Engine Assemblies Ltd. (in receivership) will be held on Thursday, the 15th day of September 1960, at which a resolution for voluntary winding up is to be proposed, and that a meeting of the creditors of the company will be held, pursuant to section 284 of the Companies Act 1955, at the Chamber of Commerce, 2 Courthouse Lane, Auckland C. 1, on Thursday, the 15th day of September 1960, at 10.30 a.m., at which meeting a full statement of the position of the company's affairs, together with a list of the creditors and the estimated amount of their claims, will be laid before the meeting and at which meeting the creditors, in pursuance of section 285 of the said Act, may nominate a person to be the liquidator of the company, and in pursuance of section 286 of the said Act, may appoint a committee of inspection.

NOTICE OF RESULT OF POLL FOR PROPOSED LOAN OF £77,000

PURSUANT to the provisions of the Local Elections and Polls Act 1953, I, Claude Malcolm May, Returning Officer for the Borough of Green Island, hereby give notice that the poll taken on Saturday, the 20th day of August 1960, on a proposal to raise a special loan of £77,000 for water, drainage, and concord development, resulted as follows:

The proposal is therefore lost.

PORT CHALMERS BOROUGH COUNCIL

NOTICE OF RESULT OF POLL

PURSUANT to section 42 of the Rating Act 1925, I hereby give notice that at a poll of the ratepayers of the Borough of Port Chalmers taken on the 27th day of August 1960 on the proposal that the system of rating in the said Borough be on the unimproved value:

The number of votes recorded for the proposal was ..... 321 The number of votes recorded against the proposal was 262 I therefor declare that the proposal was carried. Dated this 29th day of August 1960.

STRATFORD BOROUGH COUNCIL

RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE

PURSUANT to the Local Authorities Loans Act 1956, the Stratford Borough Council hereby resolves as follows:

“That, for the purpose of providing the annual charges on a loan of £6,000, known as the Stratford Borough Council Electrical Works Extension Loan 1960, £6,000, authorised to be raised by the Stratford Borough Council under the above-mentioned Act, for the purpose of purchasing and installing a load control system for the Council’s electrical undertaking, the said Stratford Borough Council hereby makes a special rate of 0·0007 of a pound (£) on the rateable value (on the basis of the unimproved value) of all rateable property of the Borough of Stratford comprising the whole of the Borough of Stratford; and that such special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of the loan and be payable yearly on the 1st day of August in each and every year during the currency of the loan, being a period of 15 years, or until the loan is fully paid off.”

I hereby certify that the above is a true and correct copy of the resolution passed at a special meeting of the Stratford Borough Council held on Tuesday, the 16th day of August 1960.

MASTERTON BOROUGH COUNCIL

RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE

Gasworks Loan 1960, £85,000

PURSUANT to the Local Authorities Loans Act 1956, the Masterton Borough Council hereby resolves as follows:

“That, for the purpose of providing the annual charges on a loan of £85,000 authorised to be raised by the Masterton Borough Council under the above-mentioned Act for the purchase and erection of new gas carbonising plant and works incidental thereto, the Masterton Borough Council hereby makes a special rate of decimal six two five (0·625) pence in the pound (£) upon the rateable value of all rateable property in the Borough of Masterton; and that the special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of the loan and be payable yearly on the 1st day of April in each and every year during the currency of the loan, being a period of 25 years, or until the loan is fully paid off.”

The foregoing resolution was passed at a duly constituted meeting of the Masterton Borough Council held on the 24th day of August 1960.

EKETAHUNA COUNTY COUNCIL

RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE

Staff Housing Loan 1960, £5,000

PURSUANT to the Local Authorities Loans Act 1956, the Eketahuna County Council hereby resolves as follows:

“That, for the purpose of providing the annual charges on a loan of £5,000 (five thousand pounds), authorised to be raised by the Eketahuna County Council under the provisions of the above-mentioned Act for the purchase or erection of houses for staff, the said Eketahuna County Council makes a special rate of one-fifteenth of a penny in the pound upon the unimproved value of all the rateable property in the whole of the County of Eketahuna; and that the special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of the loan and shall be payable yearly on the 1st day of September in each and every year during the currency of the loan, being a period of 30 years, or until the loan is fully paid off.”
