Declaring Parts of a Tribal District to be a Tribal Committee Area Under the Maori Social and Economic Advancement Act 1945
Pursuant to section 14 of the Maori Social and Economic Advancement Act 1945, the Minister of Maori Affairs hereby declares the parts of the tribal district described in the Schedule hereto to be a tribal committee area for the purposes of the said Act and assigns to the area the name “Otakeho Tribal Committee Area”.
SCHEDULE
CENTRAL TARANAKI TRIBAL DISTRICT—OTAKEHO TRIBAL COMMITTEE AREA
All that area bounded by a line commencing at the intersection of the boundary of the Egmont National Park with the middle of the Oeo River and proceeding easterly along the boundary of the Egmont National Park to the middle of the Otakeho River; thence down the middle of that river to its mouth; thence westerly along the sea coast to the middle of the mouth of the Rawa River; thence up the middle of Skeet Road; thence westerly along the middle of Skeet Road to its intersection with the middle of Oeo Road; thence northerly generally along the middle of Oeo Road to the middle of the Oeo River; thence up the middle of that river to the point of commencement.

Amalgamation of Tribal Committee Areas Constituted Under the Maori Social and Economic Advancement Act 1945
Pursuant to section 14 of the Maori Social and Economic Advancement Act 1945, the Minister of Maori Affairs hereby revokes the declaration of the Te Hoe and Hoe-o-Tainui Tribal Committee areas as set out in the Schedule to the notice dated 30 June 1950 and published in the Gazette on 13 July 1950, Volume II, page 922, declaring parts of the Te Au-o-Waikato Tribal District to be tribal committee areas for the purposes of the said Act, and substitutes therefor the name and description contained in the Schedule hereto.
SCHEDULE
TE AU-O-WAIKATO TRIBAL DISTRICT—HOE-O-TAINUI TRIBAL COMMITTEE AREA
All that area in the South Auckland Land District bounded by a line commencing at the confluence of the Mangawara Stream with the Komakorau Stream in Block IV, Newcastle Survey District; thence proceeding north-easterly along a right line to Trig. Station 1230 (Pukewhau) in Block V, Hapuakohe Survey District, a right line to Trig. Station 2043 (Ratamaroke) in Block XV, Piako Survey District, and a right line to Trig. Station 2042 (Ratawera), in Block XV, Piako Survey District, being a point on the boundary of the Hauraki Plains County as described in Gazette of 1936 at page 842; thence southerly and easterly generally along that county boundary to the southernmost corner of Section 5, Block IV, Hapuakohe Survey District, being a point on the boundary of the Piako County as described in Gazette of 1945 at page 257; thence proceeding easterly and south-easterly generally along that county boundary to a point in line with the northern boundary of Lot 4, D.P. 2170; thence south-westerly along a right line to the northernmost corner of Lot 3, D.P. 23465, along the southern side of Wakahoro Road to the north-western corner of Lot 1, D.P. 11844, and along a right line to Trig. Station 1993 (Hangawera) at the north-eastern corner of Section 1B 4, Hoe-o-Tainui South Block in Block XIII, Waitoa Survey District; thence westerly along the northern boundaries of the said Section 1B 4 and Section 1A 2, Hoe-o-Tainui South Block, to the north-western corner of the last-mentioned section; thence northerly along a right line to the easternmost corner of Section 478A, Taupiri Parish; thence westerly along the generally northern boundaries of Sections 478A and 478, Taupiri Parish, to the northernmost corner of Section 476, Taupiri Parish; thence southerly along the eastern boundary of the said Section 476 and its production to the middle of the Mangawara Stream; thence south-westerly generally down the middle of that stream to the point of commencement.

Pursuant to section 14 of the Maori Social and Economic Advancement Act 1945, the Minister of Maori Affairs hereby revokes the declaration of the Tangirau and Turangawaewae Tribal Committee areas as set out in the Schedule to the notice dated 23 June 1950 and published in the Gazette on 6 July 1950, Volume II, page 869, declaring parts of the Taniwharau Tribal District to be tribal committee areas for the purpose of the said Act and substitutes therefor the name and description contained in the Schedule hereto.

TANIWHARAU TRIBAL DISTRICT—TURANGAWAEWAE TRIBAL COMMITTEE AREA
All that area bounded by a line commencing at the confluence of the Waikato River and the Mangawara Stream; thence proceeding south-easterly generally up the middle of the Mangawara Stream, to and up the middle of the Koma-korau Stream to its intersection with the southern boundary of Block VI, Komakorau Survey District, and along a right line to the northernmost corner of Lot 4A, D.P. 3916; thence south-westerly along the north-western boundaries of the said Lot 4A to the northernmost corner of Lot 3, D.P. 4472; thence north-westerly across the railway line, to and along the north-eastern boundary of Section 302, Kirikiri-roa Parish, to its northern end; thence westerly along a right line to the eastern end of the southern side of the road forming the northern boundary of Lots 26, 27, and 28, D.P. 16401; thence westerly along the southern side of that road, to and across Tramway Road to its western side; thence northerly along that side of Tramway Road to the southern side of Insoll Road; thence westerly along that side of Insoll Road and its production to the middle of Peach Grove Road; thence northerly generally along the middle of that road to a point in line with a right line parallel to and north of the north-western side of Clarkin Road, being a point on the boundary of the City of Hamilton as described in the Gazette of 1959 at page 467; thence westerly generally along that city boundary to the middle of the Waikato River; thence down the middle of that river to a point due east of the junction of Churches Road and Pukete Road; thence due west to the said junction; thence south-westerly along a right line to the confluence of Ohote Stream and the Waipa River; thence down the middle of the Waikato River to the boundary of the Borough of Ngaruawahia as described in the Gazette of 1921 at page 501; thence westerly, northerly, and easterly along that borough boundary to the middle of the Waikato River; thence down the middle of that river to the point of commencement.

Revocation of a Tribal Committee Area Under the Maori Social and Economic Advancement Act 1945
Pursuant to section 14 (2) of the Maori Social and Economic Advancement Act 1945, the Minister of Maori Affairs hereby revokes the declaration of the Tamahere Tribal Committee area as set out in the Schedule to the notice dated 28 May 1956 and published in the Gazette, 7 June 1956, Volume II, page 750, declaring parts of the Te Au-o-Waikato Tribal Committee to be tribal committee areas.

Declaration That the Mullet Point Domain Shall be a Recreation Reserve and Revocation of the Reservation Over the Said Reserve
Pursuant to the Reserves and Domains Act 1953, the Minister of Lands hereby declares that the Mullet Point Domain described in the Schedule hereto shall cease to be subject to the provisions of Part III of the Reserves and Domains Act 1953, and shall be deemed to be a recreation reserve, subject to Part II of the said Act, and further, revokes the reservation for recreation purposes over the said reserve.
