the southernmost corner of Section 204, aforesaid; thence
south-westerly along a right line to Trig. Station Tahuanui

along a right line to the south-western corner of Moerangi IC

to the junction of Ponds Road with the Kauroa - Te Mata

Proclaiming a Tribal District Under the Maori Social and
Economic Advancement Act 1945 and Consequential
Revocation

COBHAM, Governor-General
A PROCLAMATION
PURSUANT to section 6 of the Maori Social and Economic
Advancement Act 1945, I, Charles John, Viscount Cobham,
the Governor-General of New Zealand, hereby proclaim and
declare the parts of New Zealand described in the Schedule
hereto to be a tribal district for the purposes of the said Act
with the name therein set out, and do hereby revoke the earlier
Proclamations dated 24 March 1950, 2 February 1957, and
12 October 1959, and published in the Gazettes of 30 March
1950 at page 330, 14 February 1957 at page 205, and 29
October 1959 at page 1533.

SCHEDULE
CENTRAL TARANAKI TRIBAL DISTRICT
ALL that area in the Taranaki Land District bounded by a line
commencing at the middle of the mouth of the Oaonui River,
Block V, Opunake Survey District, and proceeding up the
middle of that river to the boundary of the Egmont National
Park; thence south-easterly generally along the boundary of
the Egmont National Park to the middle of the Otakeho River;
thence down the middle of that river to the sea coast; thence
north-westerly generally along the sea coast to the point of
commencement.

Land Set Apart as Provisional State Forest Declared to be
Subject to the Land Act 1948

A PROCLAMATION
PURSUANT to subsection (2) of section 19 of the Forests
Act 1949, I, Charles John, Viscount Cobham, the Governor-
General of New Zealand, acting on the joint recommendation
of the Minister of Lands and of the Minister of Forests,
hereby proclaim and declare that the land described in the
Schedule hereto, being provisional State forest reserve set
apart by Proclamation dated the 24th day of October 1935,
and published in Gazette, 31 October 1935, Volume III, page
2973, is required for settlement purposes; and in accordance
with the provisions of the said Act such land shall, from and
after the day of the gazetting hereof, cease to be provisional
State forest land and shall become Crown land available for
sale, lease, reservation, or other disposition under the pro-
visions of the Land Act 1948.

TARANAKI LAND DISTRICT
SUBDIVISION 2 of Section 4, Block VII, Waro Survey District:
Area, 208 acres 2 roods 29 perches, more or less. (S.O. Plan

hereby proclaim and declare that the land described in the

apart by Proclamation dated the 21st day of September 1925,
and published in Gazette, 24 September 1925, Volume III,
page 2615, is required for settlement purposes; and in accord-
ance with the provisions of the said Act such land shall, from
and after the day of the gazetting hereof, cease to be pro-
visional State forest land and shall become Crown land avail-
able for sale, lease, reservation, or other disposition under the
provisions of the Land Act 1948.

PURSUANT to subsection (6) of section 5 of the Education
Lands Act 1949, I, Charles John, Viscount Cobham, the
Governor-General of New Zealand, hereby proclaim and
declare that the land described in the First Schedule hereto,
being an area vested in the Auckland Education Board, and
the land described in the Second Schedule hereto, being an
area vested in the Wellington Education Board, as sites for
public schools shall be vested in Her Majesty the Queen,
freed and discharged from every educational trust affecting
the same, but subject to all leases, encumbrances, liens, or
easements affecting the same at the date hereof.
