WAITOMO COUNTY COUNCIL
RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE
Rural Housing Loan 1960, £30,000
IN pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf by the Local Authorities Loans Act 1956, the Waitomo County Council hereby resolves as follows:
“That, for the purpose of providing the interest and other charges on a loan of thirty thousand pounds (£30,000) authorised to be raised by the Waitomo County Council under the above-mentioned Act for the purpose of making advances to farmers under the provisions of the Rural Housing Act 1939, the said Waitomo County Council hereby makes and levies a special rate of seven thirty-seconds pence (7/32d.) in the pound on the rateable value (on the basis of the unimproved value) of the whole of the rateable property in the County of Waitomo; and such special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of such loan and be payable yearly on the 1st day of October in each and every year during the currency of such loan or until the loan is fully paid off.”

WAITOMO COUNTY COUNCIL
RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE
Staff Housing Loan No. 2, 1960, £6,000
IN pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf by the Local Authorities Loans Act 1956, the Waitomo County Council hereby resolves as follows:
“That, for the purpose of providing the interest and other charges on a loan of six thousand pounds (£6,000) authorised to be raised by the Waitomo County Council under the above-mentioned Act for the purpose of erecting staff houses, the said Waitomo County Council hereby makes and levies a special rate of one-twentieth of a penny (1/20d.) in the pound on the rateable value (on the basis of the unimproved value) of the whole of the rateable property in the County of Waitomo and such special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of such loan and be payable yearly on the 1st day of October in each and every year during the currency of such loan, being a period of thirty (30) years, or until the loan is fully paid off.”

HOKITIKA BOROUGH COUNCIL
RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE
RESOLVED that, in pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it by the Local Authorities Loans Act 1956, the Hokitika Borough Council, for the purpose of providing the interest and other charges on a loan of £5,700 authorised to be raised for the construction of housing for aged people, hereby makes and levies a special rate of 0·59 pence in the pound (on the basis of the unimproved value) upon all the rateable property of the Borough of Hokitika; and that such special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of such loan and be payable yearly on the 1st day of April of each and every year during the currency of such loan, being a period of 25 years, or until the loan is fully paid off.
I, William John Richards, Mayor of the Borough of Hokitika, certify that the above is a true copy of a resolution, passed by the Hokitika Borough Council on the 26th day of April 1960, making and levying a special rate.

OPOTIKI BOROUGH COUNCIL
SPECIAL ORDER
PURSUANT to section 10 of the Municipal Corporations Amendment Act 1959, public notice is hereby given that the Opotiki Borough Council has passed the following special order:
“That, in pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it by section 108A of the Municipal Corporations Act 1954, as enacted by section 10 of the Municipal Corporations Amendment Act 1959, and all other powers enabling it in that behalf, the Opotiki Borough Council hereby resolves by way of special order that instead of levying the special rates specified in the Schedule hereto, a uniform consolidated special rate of eight and one half pence (8½d.) in the pound (£) on all rateable property within the Borough of Opotiki be,
and the same is hereby made an annually recurring rate for the purpose of paying the annual loan charges plus 10 per cent thereof payable in respect of the loans secured by those special rates; and the Opotiki Borough Council hereby further resolves that the consolidated special rate shall be payable in one sum on the 1st day of August in each year at the Council Chambers, King Street, Opotiki, to Peter Alfred Tourell, Town Clerk and Treasurer, or at such other place or to such other person for the time being authorised by the Council.

ROTORUA COUNTY COUNCIL
NOTICE OF INTENTION TO TAKE LANDS FOR ROAD AND TO CLOSE PORTIONS OF ROAD
In the matter of the Counties Act 1956 and the Public Works Act 1928.
NOTICE is hereby given that the Rotorua County Council proposes, under the provisions of the above-mentioned Acts, to execute a certain public work, namely, the deviation of a public road known as the Rotorua-Atiamuri Main Highway in the County of Rotorua, and for the purposes of such public work the lands described in the First Schedule hereto are required to be taken and portions of the road being the lands described in the Second Schedule hereto are required to be closed; and notice is hereby further given that a plan of the lands so required to be taken and the portions of the said road so to be closed is deposited in the public office of the Clerk to the above Council and situated at the corner of Ranolf and Amohau Streets, Rotorua, and is open for inspection, without fee, by all persons during ordinary office hours.
All persons affected by the execution of the said public work, by the taking of such lands, or by the closing of the said portions of the said road who have any well grounded objections to the execution of the said public work or to the taking of such lands or to the closing of the said portions of the said road must state their objections in writing and send the same, within 40 days from the first publication of this notice, to the County Clerk at the Council Chambers at the corner of Ranolf and Amohau Streets, Rotorua.
