At the Government Buildings at Wellington this 10th day of
August 1960

THE HON. C. F. SKINNER, M.C., PRESIDING IN COUNCIL
PURSUANT to the Municipal Corporations Act 1954, His
Excellency the Governor-General, acting by and with the
advice and consent of the Executive Council, hereby consents
to the closing of portion of English Avenue and portion
of Picardy Street and Springhill Road in the City of Dunedin,
described in the Schedule hereto, and hereby revokes the
Order in Council dated the 21st day of March 1960, and
published in Gazette, 31 March 1960, Volume I, page 410,
consenting to the closing of a portion of English Avenue
in the City of Dunedin.

OTAGO LAND DISTRICT
ALL those pieces of street situated in Block VI, Town
District, City of Dunedin, Otago R.D., described as follows:

PURSUANT to the Rabbits Act 1955, His Excellency the
Governor-General, acting by and with the advice and consent
of the Executive Council, hereby makes the following order.
ORDER
- (1) This order may be cited as the Upper Shotover
Rabbit District Order 1960.
(2) This order shall come into force on the day after the
date of its notification in the Gazette. - The boundaries of the Upper Shotover Rabbit District,
which was constituted by Order in Council on the 18th day of
April 1956, are hereby altered and redefined and, as from
the commencement of this order, the boundaries of the said
district shall be those specified in the Schedule hereto.
SCHEDULE
BOUNDARIES OF THE UPPER SHOTOVER RABBIT DISTRICT
ALL that area in the Otago Land District, Lake County,
and the Borough of Queenstown, containing 313,500 acres,
more or less, bounded by a line commencing at Mount Aurum,
Skipper’s Creek Survey District; thence north-westerly along
the western boundary of Run 17 to Mount Ferguson, Earnslaw
Survey District; thence northerly and north-easterly along
the western and north-western boundaries of Run 20 to Mount
Tyndall; thence easterly and southerly along the northern and
eastern boundaries of Run 21 to the northern boundary of
Polnoon Survey District; thence south-easterly along the north-
eastern boundary of Polnoon Survey District to Treble Cone;
thence generally southerly along the eastern boundaries of
Runs 444 and 23 and generally easterly and southerly
along the northern and eastern boundaries of Run 23
to the confluence of Soho Creek and the Arrow River;
thence generally south-westerly along the centre of the Arrow
River to Bush Creek; thence generally westerly up that creek
to and southerly along the western boundary of Section 24,
Block XVII, Shotover Survey District; thence north-westerly
along the south-western boundary of Run 26 to the south-
eastern corner of Section 30, Block XVII, Shotover Survey
District; thence south-westerly along a straight line to the Plane
Table at Skippers Saddle on the Skippers Highway; thence
south-westerly along a straight line to the south-western corner
of part Run 27, Block XIX, Shotover Survey District, on the
Shotover River; thence generally south-easterly along that river
to the Arthurs Point Bridge; thence generally southerly to and
along the Queenstown-Wanaka via Arrowtown Main Highway
to the north-western boundary of the Town of Queenstown;
thence north-easterly along that boundary to the south-western
boundary of Section 75, Block XX, Shotover Survey District;
thence south-easterly along that boundary to and south-westerly
along the south-eastern boundary of Suburb Street, Town of
Queenstown, and its production to the northern shore of the
Frankton Arm, Lake Wakatipu; thence generally south-
westerly along the north-western shore of Lake Wakatipu and
generally north-westerly along the north-eastern shore of Lake
Wakatipu to the mouth of Shepherds Hut Creek in Block
VII, Glenorchy Survey District; thence generally north-easterly
up that creek and along the southern boundary of Run 346D
and northerly and north-easterly along the eastern and south-
eastern boundaries of Run 346D to Stony Creek; thence
generally northerly up Stony Creek and the eastern boundary
of Run 14 to Mount Aurum the point of commencement.

Flight Lieutenant James Richard Colin Maclaurin, M.B.,
CH.B. (79370), is granted a permanent commission in the
Medical Branch, Regular Air Force, with his present rank
and seniority, with effect from 1 June 1960.
