The St. Bathans Cemetery Order 1960

ORDER IN COUNCIL
At the Government House at Wellington this 6th day of July 1960
Present:
His Excellency The Governor-General in Council
Pursuant to the Cemeteries Act 1908, His Excellency the Governor-General, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council, hereby makes the following order:
ORDER
- (1) This order may be cited as the St. Bathans Cemetery Order 1960.
(2) This order shall come into force on the day after the date of its notification in the Gazette. - The Maniototo County Council is hereby appointed to be the trustee of the St. Bathans Cemetery, being the area described in the Schedule hereto, and shall have control and management of that cemetery under and for the purposes of the Cemeteries Act 1908.
- (1) The delegation to the Maniototo County Council of the power of appointing and removing trustees of the said cemetery made by Order in Council dated the 8th day of May 1888* is hereby revoked.
SCHEDULE
ST. BATHANS CEMETERY
ALL that area in the Otago Land District, Maniototo County, containing 1 acre, more or less, being Section 9, Block II, St. Bathans Survey District, as shown on the plan marked 191/2/541 deposited in the office of the Department of Health at Wellington, and thereon edged red.

Restricting Grant and Disposal of Mining Privileges in Blocks II, VI, and VII, of the Aroha Survey District

ORDER IN COUNCIL
At the Government House at Wellington this 6th day of July 1960

His Excellency The Governor-General in Council
Pursuant to section 34 of the Statutes Amendment Act 1940, His Excellency the Governor-General, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council, hereby orders and declares that, from and after the date hereof, no mining privileges in respect of the land described in the Schedule hereto or of any part thereof shall be granted without the previous written consent of the Minister of Mines, nor shall any mining privileges in respect of the said lands or any part thereof, whether granted before or after the date hereof, be sold, leased, mortgaged, pledged, or otherwise disposed of or dealt with whether by the holder thereof or by the Official Assignee of any bankrupt holder or by the liquidator of any company or by a Sheriff under any execution or by any executor or administrator of a deceased holder without the previous written consent of the Minister of Mines.

Setting Apart Maori Freehold Land as Maori Reservations

At the Government House at Wellington this 6th day of July 1960

Pursuant to section 439 of the Maori Affairs Act 1953, His Excellency the Governor-General, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council, hereby sets apart the Maori freehold lands described in the Schedule hereto as Maori reservations for the purposes set out, such reservations to be for the common use and benefit of the members of the Ngapaerangi hapu of the Wainuiarua tribe.

Pursuant to section 15 of the Royal New Zealand Air Force Act 1950, His Excellency the Governor-General has been pleased to approve the following appointment, extensions of commissions, transfers, cancellation of commission, and resignations of officers of the Royal New Zealand Air Force.

Extensions of Commissions
The under-mentioned officers are granted extensions of their present commissions until the date shown:

Flying Officer John Kirwin Lay (596239), 18 December 1963.
Cancellation of Commission
The commission of Acting Pilot Officer Michael John Menzies (78316) is cancelled, with effect from 24 May 1960.

Resignation
Section Officer Margaret Hilda Owen (née Nimmo) (78428) resigns her commission, with effect from 10 May 1960.
AIR TRAINING CORPS
Appointment
Bruce Donald Gardner, B.A., B.Sc., is granted a commission in the Air Training Corps in the rank of Pilot Officer, with seniority and effect from 18 May 1960.
Transfer to the Retired List
Flight Lieutenant William Neill Pickard is transferred to the Retired List "B", with effect from 31 May 1960.
RESERVE OF AIR FORCE OFFICERS
Extension of Commission
Flight Lieutenant Leslie William Kennedy (133581) is granted an extension of his present commission until 29 June 1964.
Transfers
Flight Lieutenant David Russell Auckland Eden (708383) is transferred from the General Duties Branch, Regular Air Force, to the Reserve of Air Force Officers for a period of four years, with effect from 21 July 1960.
Flight Lieutenant Raymond Francis Meyer, B.E., Ph.D. (817568), is transferred from the Administrative and Supply Branch (Special Duties Division), Regular Air Force, to the Reserve of Air Force Officers for a period of four years, with effect from 7 July 1960.
Resignation
Flying Officer Derek Tollemache Clarke (77313) resigns his commission, with effect from 10 January 1960.
