Biological Products Exempted from the Provisions of the Stock Remedies (Biological Products) Regulations 1951

PURSUANT to subclause (14) of regulation 40 of the Stock Remedies (Biological Products) Regulations 1951, notice is hereby given that the Stock Remedies Registration Board has resolved that the provisions of the said regulation shall not now apply to the following products:

1. TVL Penicillin Hypodermic “100” (100,000 units) as manufactured and distributed by Tasman Vaccine Laboratory Ltd., Upper Hutt, when used for the treatment of lambs for the prevention of arthritis.

2. TVL Penicillin Hypodermic “500” (500,000 units) as manufactured and distributed by Tasman Vaccine Laboratory Ltd., Upper Hutt, when used for the treatment of sheep at lambing time for the prevention of blood poisoning.

Trademarks—Goods, the Importation of Which is Prohibited

PURSUANT to the Merchandise Marks Act 1954, goods of the nature set forth hereunder to which the trademark described below or any mark so nearly resembling the same as to be calculated to deceive has been falsely applied in infringement of the registered trademark of S.K.F. Ball Bearing Co. (New Zealand) Ltd., of 98 Dixon Street, Wellington, New Zealand, are prohibited from importation.

If any such goods are imported they will be liable to detention and to be dealt with in accordance with the provisions of the Act.

A trademark is deemed, for the purposes of the aforesaid Act, to be falsely applied to goods if it is applied without the assent of the proprietor of such trademark.
