Proclaiming a Tribal District Under the Maori Social and Economic Advancement Act 1945

A PROCLAMATION

PURSUANT to section 6 of the Maori Social and Economic Advancement Act 1945, I, Major-General the Right Honourable Sir Harold Eric Barrowclough, the Administrator of the Government of New Zealand, do hereby declare the parts of New Zealand described in the Schedule hereto to be a tribal district for the purposes of the said Act.

SCHEDULE

MANGAKINO-POUAKANI TRIBAL DISTRICT

ALL that area bounded by a line commencing at the intersection of the south-eastern boundary of Pouakani B 9A Block with a right line between Trig. Station 1774 (Titirapenga) in Block I, Marotiri Survey District, and the easternmost corner of Maraeroa A 3B 2 Block; thence proceeding north-westerly along the last-mentioned right line to the easternmost corner of Maraeroa A 3B 2 Block aforesaid; thence along right lines bearing 349° 5′ distance 3508 links, bearing 349° 44′ distance 10266 links, bearing 29° 13′ distance 7767 links, to peg CXXX at the approximate source of the Waiteti Stream, as shown on Survey Office Plan 20946 (2) blue; thence down the middle of the Waiteti Stream and down the middle of the Waipapa River, to and up the middle of the Waikato River, to and up the middle of the Mangakino Stream, to and up the middle of the Mihianga Stream to a point in line with the north-eastern boundary of Pouakani C 1A Block; thence south-easterly to and along that boundary to the south-eastern boundary of the said Pouakani C 1A Block; thence south-westerly along that boundary to and along the south-eastern boundary of Pouakani B 9A Block to the point of commencement.

Declaring Lands in Canterbury and Otago Land Districts, Vested in the Canterbury and Otago Education Boards as Sites for Public Schools to be Vested in Her Majesty the Queen

A PROCLAMATION

PURSUANT to subsection (6) of section 5 of the Education Lands Act 1949, I, Major-General the Right Honourable Sir Harold Eric Barrowclough, the Administrator of the Government of New Zealand, hereby proclaim and declare that the land described in the First Schedule hereto, being an area vested in the Canterbury Education Board, and the land described in the Second Schedule hereto, being areas vested in the Otago Education Board, as sites for public schools shall be vested in Her Majesty the Queen, freed and discharged from every educational trust affecting the same, but subject to all leases, encumbrances, liens, or easements affecting the same at the date hereof.

Crown Land Set Apart for a Public School in the Borough of Waihi

A PROCLAMATION

PURSUANT to the Public Works Act 1928, I, Major-General the Right Honourable Sir Harold Eric Barrowclough, the Administrator of the Government of New Zealand, hereby proclaim and declare that the Crown land described in the Schedule hereto is hereby set apart for a public school; and I also declare that this Proclamation shall take effect on and after the 27th day of June 1960.

SCHEDULE

SOUTH AUCKLAND LAND DISTRICT

ALL that piece of Crown land containing 7 acres 3 roods 30 perches, situated in Block XV, Ohinemuri Survey District, Borough of Waihi, being part Ohinemuri No. 7 Block; as the same is more particularly delineated on the plan marked M.O.W. 299 (S.O. 39792) deposited in the office of the Minister of Works at Wellington, and thereon coloured yellow, edged yellow.

Given under the hand of His Excellency the Administrator of the Government, and issued under the Seal of New Zealand, this 14th day of June 1960.
