Cancellation of the Vesting in the Paparua County Council
and Revocation of the Reservation Over Reserves

PURSUANT to the Reserves and Domains Act 1953, the Minister
of Lands hereby cancels the vesting in the Chairman, Councillors,
and Inhabitants of the County of Paparua and revokes
the reservation for gravel pit over the land described in the
Schedule hereto.

CANTERBURY LAND DISTRICT

RESERVE 325, situated in Block XII, Rolleston Survey District;
Area, 10 acres, more or less. (S.O. Plan 3082.)
Reserve 1452, situated in Block XII, Rolleston Survey District;
Area, 5 acres, more or less. (S.O. Plan 2955.)
Reserve 3962, situated in Block IX, Christchurch Survey
District; Area, 10 acres, more or less. (S.O. Plan 5229.)

Vesting the Management of the Shingle Landing, Puhoi River,
in Selwyn Hills

PURSUANT to the Harbours Act 1950, the Minister of Marine
hereby vests in Selwyn Hills, medical practitioner, of Auckland
(hereinafter called the licensee, which term shall include his
administrators, executors, or assigns, unless the context requires a different construction), the management of the shingle
landing in the Puhoi River, as shown on approved plan
marked M.D. 9622 and deposited in the office of the Marine
Department at Wellington, such vesting to be held and enjoyed
by the licensee upon and subject to the terms and conditions set forth in the Schedule hereto.

SCHEDULE

  1. This licence is subject to the Foreshore Licence Regulations
    1960, and the provisions of those regulations shall, so far as applicable, apply hereto.
  2. The premium payable by the licensee shall be one pound
    (£1) and the annual sum so payable one pound (£1).
  3. The term of this licence shall be 10 years from the 1st
    day of June 1960.

Town and Country Planning Act 1953—Tauranga County Council:
Notice of Extension of Period of Effectiveness of Prohibition

PURSUANT to subsection (6) of section 38 of the Town and
Country Planning Act 1953, notice is hereby given that the
period of effectiveness of the prohibition made by the Tauranga
County Council relating to the subdivision of that area of land
in the Tauranga County, being part Allotment 118, Te Papa Parish,
Block X, Tauranga Survey District, and being the land in certificate
of title, Volume 901, folio 101, South Auckland Land Registry, is
hereby extended to the 1st day of June 1961.

this 12th day of May 1960.

Closely Populated Locality Declared

PURSUANT to the Transport Act 1949, the Minister of Transport
hereby gives notice as follows:

  1. That Warrant under section 36 of the Transport Act 1949,
    dated the 11th day of September 1956,* which relates to an
    area at Opunake in Egmont County is hereby revoked.
  2. The area specified in the Schedule hereto is hereby
    declared to be a closely populated locality for the purposes of
    section 36 of the Transport Act 1949.

SCHEDULE

SITUATED within Egmont County at Opunake—

All that area in the Taranaki Land District, Egmont County,
bounded by a line commencing at the south-western corner of
Section 35, Block IX, Opunake Survey District, and proceeding
south-easterly along the southern boundary of that section to
its junction with the north-western boundary of Ihaia Road;
then in a northerly direction along the said north-western
boundary for a distance of 16 chains; then along a line across
Thaia Road at right angles to its north-western side to its
south-eastern side; then in a southerly direction along the
south-eastern boundary of Thaia Road for a distance of 16
chains; then continuing in a south-easterly direction along the
southern boundary of Section 35, Block IX, Opunake
Survey District, to the right bank of the Waiaua Stream;
then south-westerly along that bank to its intersection with
the northern boundary of the No. 45 State Highway (New
Plymouth - Hawera via Opunake); thence along that boundary
in a westerly direction to a point 2 chains east of Aytoun Road;
then across the No. 45 State Highway (New Plymouth -
Hawera via Opunake) to the southern boundary of that highway;
then along the said southern boundary in an easterly direction
to its intersection with the right bank of the Waiaua Stream;
then south-westerly along that bank to the sea coast; then
north-westerly along the sea coast to the left bank of the Otahi
Stream; then north-easterly along that bank to the southern
boundary of the No. 45 State Highway (New Plymouth - Hawera
via Opunake); then along that boundary in an easterly direction
to its intersection with the western boundary of Wilson Road;
then across the No. 45 State Highway (New Plymouth - Hawera
via Opunake) to the northern boundary of that highway; then
along the said northern boundary in a westerly direction to its
intersection with the left bank of the Otahi Stream; then north-
easterly along the said bank to the point of commencement; as
the said area is more particularly shown outlined in red on the
plan marked TT. 1829 deposited in the Head Office of the
Transport Department, Wellington.

Road).

SITUATED within Whangarei County at Maungatapere—

No. 14 State Highway (Whangarei-Dargaville) from a point
22 chains measured in a northerly direction along the said
State highway from its junction with Mangakahia Road to a
point 26 chains measured in a southerly direction along the
said State highway from the said junction.
Mangakahia Road (from its junction with No. 14 State
Highway (Whangarei-Dargaville) to a point 32 chains measured
in a westerly direction along the said road from the said
junction).
