HOWICK BOROUGH COUNCIL

SPECIAL ORDER

THAT pursuant to section 10 of the Municipal Corporations Amendment Act 1959, the Howick Borough Council by special order hereby makes and levies a consolidated special rate of four point three two nine (4·329) pence in the pound on the rateable value of all rateable property within the whole district, comprising the borough of Howick; and resolves that such special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of the loans mentioned in the Schedule hereto and be payable yearly on the 1st day of April in each and every year during the currency of such loans, or until the same are fully paid off. The several special rates to which the consolidated special rate is hereby made are set out in the Schedule hereto.

SCHEDULE

Special rate of four point three two nine (4·329) pence in the pound for providing the annual charges on:

Water Supply Loan 1945, 17/20d. in the pound.
Housing Loan 1947, 1/5d. in the pound;
Fenton Water Supply Loan 1950, 45/64d. in the pound;
Howick Development Loan 1950, 13/16d. in the pound;
Howick Development Loan 1952, 0·072d. in the pound;
Water Supply Loan 1952, 1st £6,000, 0·28d. in the pound;
Water Supply Loan 1952, 2nd £6,000, 0·28d. in the pound.
Beach Convenience Loan 1952, 0·24d. in the pound;
Bulk Water Supply Loan 1955, 0·55d. in the pound;
Reticulation Loan 1955, 0·73d. in the pound;
Fire Brigade Loan 1953, 0·17d. in the pound;
Roading Loan 1955, 1·06d. in the pound;
Housing Loan 1957, 0·042d. in the pound;
Supplementary Roading Loan 1957, 0·067d. in the pound;

The Common Seal of the Mayor, Councillors, and Citizens of the Borough of Howick was affixed hereto this 28th day of March 1960, pursuant to a resolution of Council dated 28 March 1960.

AUCKLAND HARBOUR BRIDGE AUTHORITY

NOTICE OF INTENTION TO TAKE LAND

In the matter of the Public Works Act 1928 and the Auckland Harbour Bridge Act 1950 and its amendments.

NOTICE is hereby given that the Auckland Harbour Bridge Authority proposes, under the provisions of the above-mentioned Acts, to execute a certain public work, namely, the formation and construction of the Auckland Harbour Bridge and its approaches, and for the purpose of such public work the lands described in the Schedule hereto are required to be taken; and notice is hereby further given that plans of the lands so required to be taken are lodged at the offices of Messrs Holmden and Horrocks, Solicitors to the Authority, Sixth Floor, New Zealand Insurance Building, Queen Street, Auckland (plan No. 42029 of the Chief Survey Office, Auckland); and they are open for public inspection, without fee, by all persons during ordinary office hours.

All persons affected by the execution of the said public work or by the taking of such lands who have well grounded objections to the execution of the said public work or to the taking of the said lands must state their objections in writing and send the same, within 40 days from the first publication of this notice, to the Secretary, Auckland Harbour Bridge Authority, Toll Plaza, Tennyson Street, Northcote.

SCHEDULE

  1. Sixteen perches, more or less, being portion of Lot 3 on Deposited Plan No. 19465, and being portion of Allotment 12 of Section 8 of the Suburbs of Auckland, and part of the land in certificate of title, Volume 475, folio 288, Auckland Registry.

  2. Five decimal one perches, more or less, being portion of Lot 6 on Deposited Plan No. 19465, being portion of Allotment 12 of Section 8 of the Suburbs of Auckland, and being part of the land in certificate of title, Volume 444, folio 25, Auckland Registry.

  3. Three decimal seven perches, more or less, being portion of Lot 7 on Deposited Plan No. 19465, being portion of Allotment 12 of Section 8 of the Suburbs of Auckland, and being part of the land in certificate of title, Volume 444, folio 25, Auckland Registry.

COUNTY OF TUAPEKA

NOTICE OF INTENTION TO TAKE LAND

In the matter of the Public Works Act 1928 and the Counties Act 1956.

NOTICE is hereby given that the Chairman, Councillors, and Inhabitants of the County of Tuapeka (hereinafter called the said local authority) propose, under the provisions of the above-mentioned Acts, to execute a certain public work, namely, to carry out road improvements, and for the purposes of such public work the land described in the Schedule hereto is required to be taken; and notice is hereby further given that a plan, No. S.O. 12519, of the land so required to be taken is deposited at the Heriot Post Office, and is open for inspection, without fee, by all persons during ordinary office hours.

All persons affected by the execution of the said public work or by the taking of such land should, if they have any well grounded objections to the execution of the said public work or to the taking of such land, set forth their objections in writing within 40 days from the first publication of this notice to the County Clerk of the said local authority.

SCHEDULE

THAT piece of land containing 1 rood 20·1 poles, being part section 53, Block IV, Greenvale Survey District, included in certificate of title, Volume 205, folio 289, and coloured blue on the above-mentioned plan.

HOWICK BOROUGH COUNCIL

TOWN AND COUNTRY PLANNING ACT 1953

PUBLIC notice is hereby given that the Howick Borough Council, at its meeting held on the 10th day of May 1960, has resolved to prepare, for the area added to the borough by Order in Council, dated the 23rd day of September 1959, as shown in Gazette, 1 October 1959, No. 59, page 1383, a district scheme as required by the provisions of the Town and Country Planning Act 1953.

Every person and other local body in the district is hereby invited to submit any proposals which, in his or its opinion, should be considered in the preparation of the proposed scheme.

Proposals marked “Howick District Scheme” should be addressed to the Town Clerk and delivered to the Town Clerk’s office on or before the 22nd day of July 1960.

TOWN AND COUNTRY PLANNING ACT 1953

CHRISTCHURCH REGIONAL PLANNING SCHEME—SECTION 1, RURAL ZONE (MODIFICATION NO. 1 1960)

PURSUANT to the Town and Country Planning Regulations 1954, Amendment No. 1 1956, public notice is hereby given that the Christchurch Regional Planning Scheme, Section 1, Rural Zone (Modification No. 1, 1960), has been approved under the provisions of section 10 of the Town and Country Planning Act 1953 and amendments, and shall become operative on the 1st day of June 1960.

Copies of the modification as approved have been deposited in the offices of the Christchurch Regional Planning Authority, Christchurch City Council, Kaiapoi Borough Council, Riccarton Borough Council, Eyre County Council, Halswell County Council, Heathcote County Council, Paparua County Council, Waimairi County Council, and in every public library in the region and may be inspected, without fee, by any person who so requires at any time when these places are open to the public.
