Approval of Motor-cycle Safety Helmets in Terms of the Traffic Regulations 1956

PURSUANT to clause (2) of regulation 29 of the Traffic Regulations 1956,* the Minister of Transport hereby approves, for the purpose of the said regulation, of the motor-cycle safety helmets of the make and type described in the Schedule hereto.

SAFETY helmets manufactured by Stadium Ltd., England, models No. 244 N.Z. marked “Cruiser” and No. 245 N.Z. marked “Clipper”.

Notice Prescribing Colours of Registration Plate and Declaring Registration Plates to be Licences
———
PURSUANT to regulation 8 (2) of the Motor Vehicles Registration and Licensing Regulations 1949, the Minister of Transport hereby declares that, in respect of the licensing year commencing on the 1st day of July 1961 and any licence year thereafter, the distinguishing marks on learners’ registration plates for motor cycles shall be embossed and coloured bright green on a white background, and the distinguishing marks for all other registration plates shall be embossed and coloured black on a yellow background, and that registration plates shall be deemed for the purposes of the Transport Act 1949 and for the purposes of the said regulations to be a licence to use the respective motor vehicles in the licensing year commencing on the 1st day of July 1961.
