TARADALE BOROUGH COUNCIL
RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE
Drainage Loan 1960, £60,000
PURSUANT to the Local Authorities Loans Act 1956, the Taradale Borough Council hereby resolves as follows:
“That, for the purpose of providing the annual charges on a loan of £60,000 authorised to be raised by the Taradale Borough Council under the above-mentioned Act for storm-water drainage works, the said Taradale Borough Council hereby makes a special rate of 1·734d. in the pound upon the rateable value (on the basis of the unimproved value) of all rateable property of the Borough of Taradale, comprising the whole of the Borough of Taradale; and that the special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of the loan and be payable half-yearly in each and every year during the currency of the loan, being a period of 25 years, or until the loan is fully paid off.”

WAIUKU BOROUGH COUNCIL
RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE
Fire Station Loan 1960, £12,500
PURSUANT to section 45 of the Local Authorities Loans Act 1956, the Waiuku Borough Council hereby resolves as follows:
“That, for the purpose of providing the annual charges on a loan of £12,500 authorised to be raised by the Waiuku Borough Council under the above-mentioned Act for the purpose of building a fire station, the said Waiuku Borough Council hereby makes a special rate of decimal one four (.14) pence in the pound upon the rateable value of all rateable property of the Borough of Waiuku; and that the special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of the loan and be payable on the 15th day of December and the 15th day of June in each and every year during the currency of the loan, being a period of 20 years, or until the loan is fully paid off.”

LOWER HUTT CITY COUNCIL
RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE
Maungaraki Development Loan 1960, £75,000
THAT, in pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf by the Local Authorities Loans Act 1956, the Lower Hutt City Council hereby resolves as follows:
“That, for the purpose of providing the interest and other charges on a loan of seventy-five thousand pounds (£75,000) authorised to be raised by the Lower Hutt City Council under the above-mentioned Act for the purpose of acquiring and developing land at Maungaraki for housing purposes, the said Lower Hutt City Council hereby makes and levies a special rate of one and six hundred and sixty-seven thousandths of a penny (1·667d.) in the pound (£) on the rateable value (on the basis of the annual value) of all the rateable property in the City of Lower Hutt; and that such special rate shall be an annually recurring rate during the currency of such loan and be payable yearly on or about the 1st day of August in each and every year during the currency of such loan, being a period of 6 years, or until the loan is fully paid off.”
I hereby certify that the above resolution was duly passed at the meeting of the Lower Hutt City Council held on the 26th day of April 1960.

WAITOMO ELECTRIC POWER BOARD
RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE
General Extension Loan 1960 of £70,000
PURSUANT to the Local Authorities Loans Act 1956, the Waitomo Electric Power Board hereby resolves as follows:
“That, for the purpose of providing the annual charges on a loan of £70,000 authorised to be raised by the Waitomo Electric Power Board under the above-mentioned Act for the provision of 33 kv supply, and for the purpose of extensions and additions to the existing reticulation system and otherwise providing for the use of electrical energy throughout the Waitomo Electric Power District, the Waitomo Electric Power Board hereby makes and levies a special rate of two-fifths of a penny (⅔d.) in the pound upon the rateable value (on the basis of the unimproved value) of all rateable property in the Waitomo Electric Power District; and that such special rate shall be an annually recurring rate during the currency of such loan and be payable yearly on the 15th day of May in each and every year during the currency of such loan, being a period of 20 years, or until the loan is fully paid off.”

WHANGAREI BOROUGH COUNCIL
TOWN AND COUNTRY PLANNING ACT 1953
PUBLIC notice is hereby given that the Whangarei Borough Council, at its meeting held on the 6th day of April 1960, has resolved to prepare, for the parts thereof described in the Schedule to this notice, a district scheme as required by the provisions of the Town and Country Planning Act 1953.
Every person and every local authority in the district is hereby invited to submit any proposals which, in his or its opinion, should be considered in the preparation of the proposed scheme.
Proposals marked “Whangarei District Scheme” should be addressed to the Town Clerk and delivered to the Town Clerk’s office on or before the 8th day of July 1960.
SCHEDULE OF PARTS OF BOROUGH FOR WHICH A DISTRICT SCHEME IS TO BE PREPARED
Those parts of the Borough previously administered by the Whangarei County Council prior to 1 April 1960 and lying generally in the vicinity of Tikipunga, Maunu, and Otaika.

In the matter of Part III of the Charitable Trusts Act 1957 and in the matter of an application by the Ashburton High School Board, established under and incorporated by the Ashburton High School Act 1878, to vary the purposes of a trust created, pursuant to the will of the late Robert Bell, deceased, and known as the Robert Bell Memorial Scholarship.
PURSUANT to the provisions of the Charitable Trusts Act 1957, I hereby give notice that on the 9th day of March 1960 the Supreme Court at Christchuuch approved the scheme, bearing date the 18th day of November 1959 and filed in the said Court by the Ashburton High School Board, to vary the purposes of a trust created, pursuant to the will of the late Robert Bell, deceased, and known as the Robert Bell Memorial Scholarship.

NOTICE OF PRIVATE BILL
In the matter of the Standing Orders of the House of Representatives relating to Private Bills and in the matter of a Private Bill intituled “An Act to extend the terms of a certain deed of trust, known as the Wanganui Orphanage Trust, to enable the assets and income thereof to be applied for the assistance of intellectually handicapped children.”
NOTICE is hereby given that Ernest Harry Poynter, of Wanganui, bookseller, and William Charles Fairhall Treadwell, of Wanganui, solicitor, intend to apply for leave to bring into the House of Representatives at the ensuing session a Private Bill intituled as above.
The objects of the said Bill are to effect an extension of the terms of a trust established in the year 1890 and known as Wanganui Orphanage Trust so as to enable the assets and income thereof to be applied for the assistance of intellectually handicapped children.
The promoters of the Bill are the said Ernest Harry Poynter and William Charles Fairhall Treadwell, whose address is care of Messrs Treadwell, Gordon, Clayton, and Swan, Solicitors, 81 Ridgway Street, Wanganui, to which address all communications and notices may be sent and at which address a copy of the Bill may be inspected.
