Martins Bay Survey District, to the western bank of the Hollyford River; thence generally southerly along that bank to and generally southerly along the western shore of Lake McKerrow to the western boundary of Town Reserve, Block I, Hollyford Survey District; thence southerly along the western boundary and easterly along the southern boundary of that Town Reserve to the north-western corner of Section 1, Block I: thence southerly and easterly along the western and southern boundaries of Section 1 aforesaid to and southerly and easterly along the western and southern boundaries of Section 2, Block I, to the north-western corner of Run 471; thence generally southerly along the western boundary of Run 471 to Cascade Creek; thence westerly along the northern boundary of Southland Land District for a distance of approximately 30 chains to the bush line, thence generally north-westerly along the bush line to the point of commencement; excluding therefrom Sections 2, 3, 5, 6, 8, 15, 16, 17, 18, 19, 41, and 42, Block II, and Sections 5, 6, and 7, Block IX, Martins Bay Survey District.

And including the beds and waters of all internal rivers, lakes, and streams, but excluding all public roads.

As shown on the plan marked L. and S. 52592 deposited in the Head Office, Department of Lands and Survey at Wellington, under No. 3123, and thereon edged green.


THIRD SCHEDULE

OTAGO LAND DISTRICT

Crown Land Subject to the Provisions of the Land Act 1948 Added to Fiordland National Park

ALL those areas described as follows:

Firstly, all that area situated in Lake County and being parts of Martins Bay and Hollyford Survey District, containing 6,900 acres, more or less, bounded by a line commencing at Trig. ZO, Martins Bay Survey District, and proceeding south-easterly along a straight line between Trig. ZO and the north-western corner of Run 472, to the south-eastern boundary of Run 508; thence generally south-westerly and north-westerly along the boundary of Run 508 to a straight line between Trig. ZO and the south-eastern corner of Section 22, Block II, Martins Bay Survey District; thence south-easterly along that line to the point of commencement.

Secondly, all that area situated in Lake County and being part of Martins Bay and Hollyford Survey Districts, containing 6,800 acres, more or less, bounded by a line commencing on the sea coast at the northernmost corner of Wilmot Survey District and proceeding generally north-easterly along the sea coast to a point in line with the northern boundary of Section 17, Block I, Martins Bay Survey District; thence due east to and generally south-easterly along the south-western side of the coast road, to and generally southerly along the eastern bank of the Hollyford River, to and generally southerly along the eastern shore of Lake McKerrow to the eastern boundary of Town Reserve, Block I, Hollyford Survey District; thence southerly, westerly, and northerly along the eastern, southern, and western boundaries of that Town Reserve to the western shore of Lake McKerrow; thence generally northerly along that shore and the western bank of the Hollyford River to the north-eastern corner of Section 36, Block II, Martins Bay Survey District; thence westerly and southerly along the northern and western boundaries of Section 36 to the northernmost corner of Section 1, Block IX, Martins Bay Survey District; thence generally south-westerly and north-westerly along the generally northern boundaries of Sections 1, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 9, 10, 11, and 12, Block IX, to the north-western corner of Section 12 aforesaid; thence generally north-westerly and south-westerly along the top of the cliff face to the point of commencement.

Thirdly, all that area situated in Lake County and being parts of Wilmot, Martins Bay, and Hollyford Survey Districts, containing 34,500 acres, more or less, bounded by a line commencing at Pembroke Peak on the southern boundary of Wilmot Survey District and proceeding approximately 80 chains northerly along the boundary of Southland Land District to the bush line, thence generally north-easterly, westerly, northerly, easterly, northerly, and north-westerly along the bush line to the sea coast; thence generally north-easterly along the sea coast to the bush line approximately 80 chains north of the Kaipo River, thence generally south-easterly along the bush line to the northern boundary of Southland Land District; thence generally north-westerly along the north-eastern boundary of Southland Land District to the point of commencement.

Fourthly, all that area situated in Lake County, being part of Wilmot Survey District, containing 1,250 acres, more or less, and being the open tops of Mounts McGulsh, Sutherland, and Richardson in the said Survey District.

And including the beds and waters of all internal rivers, lakes, and streams, but excluding all public roads.

As shown on the plan marked L. and S. 52592 deposited in the Head Office, Department of Lands and Survey at Wellington, under No. 3123, and thereon edged purple.

PURSUANT to section 439 of the Maori Affairs Act 1953, His Excellency the Administrator of the Government, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council, hereby sets apart the Maori freehold land described in the Schedule hereto as a Maori reservation for the purpose of a marae site for the Maori residents of the Gladstone District.

Notice of Intention to Issue a Proclamation Closing Streets and Vesting Land in the Town of Cromarty in Her Majesty the Queen as Crown Land Subject to the Land Act 1948


H. E. BARROWCLOUGH, Administrator of the Government

PURSUANT to section 15 of the Reserves and Other Lands Disposal Act 1958, I, Major-General the Right Honourable Sir Harold Eric Barrowclough, the Administrator of the Government of New Zealand, hereby give notice that it is my intention after the expiration of three months from the date hereof, to issue a Proclamation closing the streets described in the First Schedule hereto and declaring the lands described in the First and Second Schedules hereto to be vested in Her Majesty as Crown land subject to the Land Act 1948.

Plans showing these lands are deposited in the office of the Commissioner of Crown Lands, Invercargill, and the Head Office, Department of Lands and Survey, Wellington, where they may be inspected during office hours free of charge.

Any objections to the proposal either in general terms or by the registered proprietor or licensee or any other person having any estate or interest in the lands specified in the Second Schedule hereto are to be made in writing addressed to the Commissioner of Crown Lands, Invercargill, on or before the 17th day of August 1960.

SOUTHLAND LAND DISTRICT—TOWN OF CROMARTY

Streets to be Closed and Vested in Her Majesty

APPROXIMATE total area of streets to be closed and vested in Her Majesty: 10 acres 2 roods 3 perches being Ward Terrace, Moray Terrace, Gala Street, and Broom Street, Town of Cromarty, situated in Blocks IV and VI, Preservation Survey District. As shown on the plan marked L. and S. 4/300/25 deposited in the Head Office, Department of Lands and Survey at Wellington, and thereon coloured burnt sienna.
