Varying a Proclamation Declaring Parts of New Zealand to be a Tribal District Under the Maori Social and Economic Advancement Act 1945

A PROCLAMATION
PURSUANT to section 6 (2) of the Maori Social and Economic Advancement Act 1945, I, Charles John, Viscount Cobham, the Governor-General of New Zealand, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council, hereby vary a Proclamation dated 7 December 1948 and published in the Gazette on 16 December 1948, Volume III, page 1525, declaring parts of New Zealand to be a tribal district under the Maori Social and Economic Advancement Act 1945, by deleting from the Schedule thereto the description of the New Plymouth Tribal District and substituting therefor the description appearing in the Schedule hereto.
SCHEDULE
NEW PLYMOUTH TRIBAL DISTRICT
ALL that area in the Taranaki Land District bounded by a line commencing at the middle of the mouth of the Waiongana Stream in Block I, Paritutu Survey District, and proceeding up the middle of that stream to the middle of Devon Road; thence westerly along the middle of Devon Road to and southerly along the middle of Lepper Road to its intersection with Manutahi Road; thence westerly and north-westerly along the middle of Manutahi Road to its junction with the road forming the north-western boundary of part Lot 14, D.P. 635, passing through Sections 79, 80, 81, and 85, and forming the northern and western boundaries of Section 22 and part of the western boundary of Section 23, all of Hua District; then south-westerly generally along the middle of the last-mentioned road to its junction with Dorset Road; thence westerly along the middle of Dorset Road and its production to the south-western side of Smart Road; thence northerly along the south-western side of Smart Road to the south-eastern boundary of Section 186, Hua and Waiwakaiho District; thence south-westerly along the last-mentioned boundary and its production to the left bank of the Waiwakaiho River, being a point on the boundary of the City of New Plymouth as described in Gazette, No. 72 of 1955, at page 1818; thence south-westerly and north-westerly generally along that city boundary to the sea coast; thence north-easterly along the sea coast to the point of commencement.

Portion of a Scenic Reserve Set Apart for Road in the Warkworth Town District

A PROCLAMATION
PURSUANT to the Public Works Act 1928, I, Charles John, Viscount Cobham, the Governor-General of New Zealand, hereby proclaim and declare that the portion of scenic reserve described in the Schedule hereto is hereby set apart for road; and I also declare that this Proclamation shall take effect on and after the 18th day of April 1960.
SCHEDULE
NORTH AUCKLAND LAND DISTRICT
ALL that piece of land containing 16·5 perches, situated in Block VII, Mahurangi Survey District, Warkworth Town District, Auckland R.D., being part Lot 5, D.P. 36395, and being part Allotment 49, Parish of Mahurangi; as the same is more particularly delineated on the plan marked P.W.D 144135 (S.O. 37857) deposited in the office of the Minister of Works at Wellington, and thereon coloured yellow.
Given under the hand of His Excellency the Governor-General, and issued under the Seal of New Zealand, this 5th day of April 1960.

PURSUANT to the Public Works Act 1928, I, Charles John, Viscount Cobham, the Governor-General of New Zealand, hereby proclaim and declare that the portion of public domain described in the Schedule hereto is hereby set apart for the Northcote-Albany motorway; and I also declare that this Proclamation shall take effect on and after the 18th day of April 1960.
SCHEDULE
NORTH AUCKLAND LAND DISTRICT
ALL that piece of land containing 9 acres and 15·7 perches, situated in Block XII, Waitemata Survey District, Auckland R.D., and being part Lot 1, D.P. 31225, being part Allotments 68 and 69, Parish of Takapuna; as the same is more particularly delineated on the plan marked P.W.D. 159194 (S.O. 41359) deposited in the office of the Minister of Works at Wellington, and thereon coloured yellow.
Given under the hand of His Excellency the Governor-General, and issued under the Seal of New Zealand, this 4th day of April 1960.
