Stopping Government Road in Blocks III and VII, Halswell
Survey District

COBHAM, Governor-General
A PROCLAMATION
Pursuant to section 149 of the Public Works Act 1928, I,
Charles John, Viscount Cobham, the Governor-General of
New Zealand, hereby proclaim as stopped the Government
road described in the Schedule hereto, such road being no
longer required.

SCHEDULE
Canterbury Land District
All those pieces of road situated in the Halswell Survey
District, Canterbury R.D., described as follows:
A. R. P. Adjoining or passing through
0 0 0·1 Lot 4, D.P. 7688, and Lot 1, D.P. 17204, being
parts Rural Section 249A; Block III.
0 2 0·1 Rural Sections 976 and 212; Block VII.
0 0 0·5 Rural Section 212; Block VII.
As the same are more particularly delineated on the plan
marked P.W.D. 160900 (S.O. 9438) deposited in the office
of the Minister of Works at Wellington, and thereon coloured
green.
Given under the hand of His Excellency the Governor-
General, and issued under the Seal of New Zealand,
this 4th day of April 1960.

Revoking in Part a Proclamation Taking Land for the Edge-
cumbe-Murupara Railway and for Road Diversions in Con-
nection Therewith in Blocks X and XIV, Rangitaiki Upper
Survey District

A PROCLAMATION
Pursuant to the Public Works Act 1928, I, Charles John,
Viscount Cobham, the Governor-General of New Zealand,
hereby revoke the Proclamation dated the 24th day of April
1959 and published in Gazette, 30 April 1959, Volume I, page
552, taking land for the Edgecumbe-Murupara Railway and for
road diversions in connection therewith in Blocks X and XIV,
Rangitaiki Upper Survey District, in so far as it affects the
land described in the Schedule hereto.

SCHEDULE
South Auckland Land District
All that piece of land containing 2 roods 22·4 perches, situ-
ated in Block XIV, Rangitaiki Upper Survey District,
Auckland R.D., being part Allotment 59B 3D 2, Matata Parish;
as the same is more particularly delineated on the plan marked
P.W.D. 158331 (S.O. 38630) deposited in the office of the
Minister of Works at Wellington, and thereon coloured blue,
edged blue.
Given under the hand of His Excellency the Governor-
General, and issued under the Seal of New Zealand,
this 4th day of April 1960.

Revoking Part of a Proclamation Defining the Middle Line
of Portion of the Wellington-Napier via Woodville Rail-
way (Portion of Rimutaka Tunnel Deviation)

A PROCLAMATION
Pursuant to the Public Works Act 1928, I, Charles John,
Viscount Cobham, the Governor-General of New Zealand,
hereby revoke the Proclamation dated the 23rd day of Feb-
ruary 1949, published in Gazette, 24 February 1949, Vol. I,
page 619, and deposited in the Land Registry Office at Wel-
lington as No. 3990, defining the middle line of portion of
the Wellington-Napier via Woodville Railway (portion of
Rimutaka Tunnel Deviation) in so far as it affects the land
described in the Schedule hereto.

All those pieces of land situated in Block XIV, Akatarawa
Survey District, Wellington R.D., described as follows:

A PROCLAMATION
Pursuant to the Public Works Act 1928, I, Charles John,
Viscount Cobham, the Governor-General of New Zealand,
hereby revoke the Proclamation dated the 29th day of May
1959 and published in Gazette, 4 June 1959, No. 33, page
716, and deposited in the Land Registry Office at Hokitika as
No. 23877, setting apart Crown land for a teacher's residence,
in Block II, Mawheranui Survey District, Westland Land
District.
Given under the hand of His Excellency the Governor-
General, and issued under the Seal of New Zealand,
this 31st day of March 1960.

for Railway Purposes

A PROCLAMATION
Pursuant to the Public Works Act 1928, I, Charles John,
Viscount Cobham, the Governor-General of New Zealand,
hereby proclaim and declare that the Crown land described
in the Schedule hereto is hereby set apart for railway pur-
poses; and I also declare that this Proclamation shall take
effect on and after the 4th day of April 1960.

SCHEDULE
South Auckland Land District
All those pieces of Crown land containing together 2 roods
29·5 perches, situated in the Borough of Mount Maunganui,
being Lots 122, 123, and 124, D.P. S. 725, being part Section 10,
Block VII, Tauranga Survey District. Formerly part certificate
of title, Volume 1424, folio 47, Auckland Registry.
Given under the hand of His Excellency the Governor-
General, and issued under the Seal of New Zealand,
this 25th day of March 1960.

Amending an Order in Council Authorising the Westland
Electric Power Board to Use Water for the Purpose of
Generating Electricity and to Erect and Use Certain
Electric Lines

ORDER IN COUNCIL
At the Government House at Wellington this 6th day of
April 1960
Present:
HIS EXCELLENCY THE GOVERNOR-GENERAL IN COUNCIL
Pursuant to the Public Works Act 1928, His Excellency
the Governor-General, acting by and with the advice and
consent of the Executive Council, hereby further amends
the Order in Council dated the 31st day of August 1931
authorising Kanieri Electric Ltd. to use water for the purpose
of generating electricity and to erect and use certain electric
lines, the rights, powers, and privileges under the said Order
in Council having been assigned to the Westland Electric
Power Board under an Order in Council dated the 8th day of
July 1959†, by omitting clause 16 of the First Schedule thereto
and, further, hereby revokes the Order in Council dated the
31st day of March 1958‡ amending the Order in Council
first hereinbefore referred to.
