BOROUGH OF OHAKUNE
WATER SUPPLY LOAN 1957, £57,000
PURSUANT to the provisions of the Local Authorities Loans Act 1956, the Ohakune Borough Council resolved on 25 February 1960:
"That, for the purpose of providing the annual charges on a loan of £57,000 (fifty-seven thousand pounds) authorised to be raised by the Ohakune Borough Council under the above-mentioned Act for the provision of a water supply, the said Ohakune Borough Council hereby makes a special rate of 2s. 8½d. (two shillings eight and one-fifth pence) in the pound upon the rateable value of all rateable property in the Borough of Ohakune; and that the said special rate shall be an annually recurring rate during the currency of the loan and be payable on the 1st day of August in each and every year during the currency of the loan, being a period of 35 years (thirty-five years), or until the loan is fully paid off."

WAIKATO COUNTY COUNCIL
RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE
Rural Housing Loan No. 5, £50,000
PURSUANT to the Local Authorities Loans Act 1956, the Waikato County Council hereby resolves as follows:
"That, for the purpose of providing the annual charges on a loan of £50,000 authorised to be raised by the Waikato County Council under the above-mentioned Act for the purposes of the Rural Housing Act 1939, the said Waikato County Council hereby makes a special rate of 0·0284d. in the pound upon the rateable value of the County of Waikato; and that such special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of the loan and be payable yearly on the 14th day of August in each and every year during the currency of the loan, being a period of 35 years, or until the loan is fully paid off."

TARANAKI HARBOUR BOARD
RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE
THAT, in pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it by the Harbours Act 1950, the Taranaki Harbour Board Empowering Act 1955, the Local Authorities Loans Act 1956, and of all other powers and authorities it thereunto enabling, the Taranaki Harbour Board hereby resolves that for the purpose of providing the annual charges payable in respect of the Taranaki Harbour Board Loan No. 8, 1959 of £20,000 authorised to be raised by the Board by the terms of a sanction made by the Local Authorities Loans Board on the 7th day of December 1959, the Board hereby makes and levies a special rate of one penny in the pound, two-thirds of a penny in the pound, and one-third of a penny in the pound, respectively upon the capital value of all rateable property in the respective areas described in the First, Second, and Third Schedules to the Taranaki Harbour Board Empowering Act 1955 and referred to in such Act as Rating Area No. 1, Rating Area No. 2, and Rating Area No. 3 respectively; and that such special rate shall be for the year commencing on the 1st day of October 1959 and ending on the 30th day of September 1960, and shall be an annually recurring rate for each year thereafter during the currency of the said loan and until the loan is fully paid off, and that such special rate shall be payable in one sum on the 30th day of September in each and every year during the currency of the said loan and until the said loan is fully paid off."

WELLINGTON CITY COUNCIL
RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE
The Wellington City Baths Loan 1959 of £135,000
The following resolution was duly passed at a meeting of the Wellington City Council held on Wednesday, the 16th day of March 1960:
Pursuant to the Local Authorities Loans Act 1956, the Wellington City Council hereby resolves as follows:
"That, for the purpose of providing the annual charges on a loan of one hundred and thirty-five thousand pounds (£135,000) to be known as the Wellington City Baths Loan 1959 of £135,000 authorised to be raised by the Wellington City Council under the above-mentioned Act for the purpose of constructing tepid swimming baths the Wellington City
Council hereby makes a special rate of fifty-nine eight-hundredths of a penny (59/800d.) in the pound (£) on the rateable value (on the basis of the unimproved value) of all rateable property within the whole of the City of Wellington; and that the said special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of such loan and shall be payable yearly on the 1st day of April in each year during the currency of the said loan, being a period of twenty-five (25) years or until the loan is fully paid off."

CHRISTCHURCH CITY COUNCIL
RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE
Pensioners' Cottages Loan 1960, £86,650
In pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf by the Local Authorities Loans Act 1956 and its amendments, and all other powers it in that behalf enabling, the Christchurch City Council hereby resolves as follows:
"That, for the purpose of providing principal, interest, and other charges on a loan of eighty-six thousand six hundred and fifty pounds (£86,650) authorised to be raised by the Christchurch City Council under the above-mentioned Act for the purpose of providing housing for aged people, the Christchurch City Council hereby makes and levies a special rate of four thousand two hundred and nine-one hundred and twenty-five thousandths of a penny (4209/125000d.) in the pound (£0·0001403) on the rateable value (on the basis of the unimproved value) of all rateable property comprised within the City of Christchurch; and that such special rate shall be an annually recurring rate, payable on demand, during the currency of the said loan, being a period of thirty (30) years, or until the loan is fully paid off."
The Christchurch City Council, at a meeting held on the 16th day of March 1960, passed the above resolution.

MAKARA COUNTY COUNCIL
TOWN AND COUNTRY PLANNING ACT 1953
PURSUANT to the Town and Country Planning Regulations 1954, public notice is hereby given that the district scheme under the Town and Country Planning Act 1953 for Area No. 3 was approved by the Council by resolution passed at its meeting on the 17th day of February 1960 after all objections, appeals, and arbitrations relating to the scheme had been disposed of and the scheme had been amended to give effect to all objections and appeals allowed and all variations of the scheme required by the Town and Country Planning Appeal Board had been incorporated.
The Council has also resolved that the scheme shall come into operation on the 1st day of April 1960. Copies of the scheme as approved have been deposited in the Council's office, Station Road, Porirua, and may be inspected, without fee, by any person who so requires at any time when that office is open to the public.

MAKARA COUNTY COUNCIL
TOWN AND COUNTRY PLANNING ACT 1953
PUBLIC notice is hereby given that, pursuant to a resolution of the Council made on the 9th day of December 1955, district schemes have been recommended for approval under the Town and Country Planning Act 1953. The schemes relate to Areas No. 1, 4, and 5. Area No. 1 being Titahi Bay-Takapuwahai Pa - Elsdon; Area No. 4 being Ohariu-Newlands; and Area No. 5 being Makara. The schemes have been deposited in the Council Offices, Station Road, Porirua, and are there open for inspection, without fee, to all persons interested therein at any time when the offices are open to the public.
Objections to the schemes or to any part thereof shall be in writing in the form No. 4 prescribed in the First Schedule to the Town and Country Planning Regulations 1954, and shall be lodged at the office of the Council at any time not later than 9 July 1960.
