Declaration That a Reserve be the Alford Forest Domain and Appointment of Domain Board

PURSUANT to the Reserves and Domains Act 1953, the Minister of Lands hereby declares the reserve for recreation described in the Schedule hereto to be a public domain subject to the provisions of Part III of the said Act to be known as the Alford Forest Domain, and further, appoints:

Two members of the Ashburton County Council representing the Mount Somers and the Upper Ashburton Ridings, ex officio;

Frederic Wells Early;

Alan Albert Grigg;

Trevor Alfred Grigg;

James Joseph Harmer, the younger;

Melville Gordon McKay;

George Alexander Rountree; and

Robert Wilson Wightman

to be the Alford Forest Domain Board to have control of the said domain.

CANTERBURY LAND DISTRICT—ALFORD FOREST DOMAIN

RESERVE 5049, situated in Block V, Spaxton Survey District: Area, 2 acres and 3·3 perches, more or less. Part certificate of title, Volume 532, folio 245. (S.O. Plan 9640.)

Officers Authorised to Take and Receive Statutory Declarations

Port Conciliation Committee for the Port of Westport Appointed

PURSUANT to the Waterfront Industry Act 1953, the Minister of Labour hereby appoints the following persons to be the Port Conciliation Committee for the Port of Westport for a term of one year expiring on the 28th day of February 1961:

Campbell Frederick Schadick, Chairman; and

Graham Levestam, Clarence Edward Peagram, and Edward Alfred Rate, (nominated by the New Zealand Port Employers’ Association Incorporated); and

Robert Glen (nominated by the General Manager of Railways); and

Robert William Andrews, James Bertram Callaghan, Stanley Thomas Davies, and William Harold Elliott (nominated by the Westport Waterfront Workers’ Industrial Union of Workers).

PURSUANT to the Harbours Act 1950 and the Motor Launch Regulations 1958, the Minister of Marine hereby appoints

to be a supervising officer under the said regulations in respect of those waters of the Whangamata Harbour.
