RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE
——
Wellington City Abattoir Loan 1959 of £500,000
THE following resolution was duly passed at a meeting of the Wellington City Council held on Monday, the 7th day of March 1960:
Pursuant to the Local Authorities Loans Act 1956, the Wellington City Council hereby resolves as follows:
“That for the purpose of providing the annual charges on a loan of five hundred thousand pounds (£500,000) to be known as the Wellington City Abattoir Loan 1959 of £500,000 authorised to be raised by the Wellington City Council under the above-mentioned Act for the purpose of constructing new abattoir buildings and yards and providing services, the Wellington City Council hereby makes a special rate of one hundred and eighty-one eight-hundredths of a penny (181/800d.) in the pound on the rateable value (on the basis of the unimproved value) of all rateable property within the whole of the City of Wellington; and that the said special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of such loan and shall be payable yearly on the 1st day of April in each year during the currency of the said loan, being a period of thirty-five (35) years, or until the loan is fully paid off.”

WANGANUI COUNTY COUNCIL

NOTICE OF INTENTION TO TAKE LAND FOR AIRPORT ROAD
——
NOTICE is hereby given that the Wanganui County Council proposes, under the provisions of the Public Works Act 1928, to take the pieces of land described in the Schedule hereto for the purposes of road access to the Wanganui Airport and notice is also given that a plan of the land so required to be taken is deposited at the offices of the said Council, 7 Campbell Place, Wanganui, and is open to inspection (without fee) by all persons during ordinary office hours.
All persons affected by the taking of the said piece of land who have any well grounded objections to the taking of the said piece of land must state their objections in writing and send the same within forty (40) days of the first publication of this notice to the County Council at the said Council Chambers.

One rood 1·6 perches being part Kaitoke Block and being part certificate of title, Volume 251, folio 139.
One rood 9·6 perches being part Pungaharuru 3d part certificate of title, Volume 186, folio 267.
All the above pieces of land being more particularly shown on S.O. Plan 24041.
SEVERANCES
Ten decimal five perches being Lot 2, Deposited Plan No. 10523 part certificate of title, Volume 13, folio 177.
One rood 10·6 perches being part Kaitoke Block part certificate of title, Volume 251, folio 139.
Both pieces of land being more particularly shown on S.O. Plan 24041.

BOROUGH OF TAKAPUNA

TOWN AND COUNTRY PLANNING ACT 1953
——
PUBLIC notice is hereby given that at a meeting held on the 8th day of March 1960, the Takapuna Borough Council resolved that the Takapuna Borough District Scheme as “recommended” by the Takapuna Borough Council on the 15th day of September 1959, be varied in accordance with the provisions of section 22 of the Town and Country Planning Act 1953, by designating the areas of land described in the Schedule hereto as “Public Recreation Reserves and Open Space (Proposed)” in lieu of the designation under the said recommended scheme “Public Recreation Reserves and Open Space (Existing)”.
SCHEDULE
A. All the land comprised and described in certificate of title, Volume 321, folio 231, Auckland Registry; and
B. That portion of the land comprised and described in certificate of title, Volume 254, folio 11, Auckland Registry, coloured green on the district plan map as recommended by the Council on the 15th day of September 1959.
The above variation is shown on the Amendment Diagram No. 1 which is deposited in the offices of the engineering department of the Takapuna Borough Council, The Strand, Takapuna, and at the Takapuna Public Library and is there open for inspection, without fee, to all persons interested therein at any time when the above places are open to the public.
Objections to the above amendment No. 1 to the scheme shall be in writing in the form No. 4 prescribed in the First Schedule to the Town and Country Planning Regulations 1954, and shall be lodged at the office of the Council at any time not later that the 20th day of June 1960. At a later date every objection will be open for public inspection, and any person who wishes to support or oppose any objection will be entitled to be heard at the hearing of objections if he notifies the Town Clerk in writing within a period of which public notice will be given.
