Conscience Money Received

I hereby acknowledge receipt of the following amounts forwarded by persons unknown, as conscience money, to the New Zealand Government.

10s., £10, £5, 10s., £4 10s., 9s., 10s., £20, 10s., £20, and £13 10s. to the Inland Revenue Department.

2s. 6d., £19 19s. 6d., and £3 to the Railways Department.

£14 to the Social Security Department.

£10 for “Credit Customs Department, Dunedin,”; £2 “owing to Railways Department”; and £2; these last three amounts to the Treasury.

Land Acquired as a Public Reserve

PURSUANT to the Reserves and Domains Act 1953, notice is hereby given that the land described in the Schedule hereto has been acquired under the said Act to form part of the Lottery Bush Scenic Reserve to be administered as a scenic reserve by the Waiau Domain Board.

Notice to Make Returns of Land Under the Land and Income Tax Act 1954

PURSUANT to the Land and Income Tax Act 1954, the Commissioner of Inland Revenue hereby gives notice as follows:

  1. A return of land held as at noon on 31 March 1960 is required from every person and company, whether a taxpayer or not, being the owner of land in New Zealand within the meaning of the Land and Income Tax Act 1954, where the total unimproved value exceeds £6,000.

  2. Returns are required to be delivered or forwarded to the district office of the Taxes Division, Inland Revenue Department, where the taxpayer’s records are filed, not later than 7 April 1960.

  3. Return forms are available at all district offices of the Taxes Division, Inland Revenue Department, and at all post offices.

  4. Any person or company failing to furnish a return within the prescribed time is liable to a fine not exceeding £100 or not less than £2.
