Extract from Register of Systems of Marking Stock Published (Notice No. Ag. 6937)

Pursuant to section 25 of the Stock Amendment Act 1956, the Director-General of Agriculture hereby publishes the following extract from the register of systems of marking to be placed on stock for the purposes of the said section:

Name of Applicant: New Zealand Polled Jersey Dairy Breeders’ Association Incorporated.
Address: P.O. Box 23, Marton.

DESCRIPTION OF MARKING SYSTEM

“There shall be placed in the left ear of the animal, by means of a tattoo, a letter representing the season of birth of the animal followed by a number representing the identity of the animal.
Every animal shall, in addition, be further identified by a number representing the identity of the herd, which shall be placed in the right ear by means of a tattoo.”

Registration Approved: 2 March 1960.

Revocation of Declaration of Infected Area Under the Citrus Canker Regulations 1952 (Notice No. Ag. 6936)

Pursuant to regulation 7 of the Citrus Canker Regulations 1952, notice is hereby given that the declaration of the land described in the Schedule hereto as an infected area is hereby revoked.

SCHEDULE

Declaration made on the 24th day of January 1958, and published in the Gazette, 1958, No. 13, p. 225.
All that piece of land containing 1 rood, more or less, being Lot 1, D.P. 5197, Section 8, Block 63, Township of Waitara West.

Classification of Roads in Waikato County

Pursuant to regulation 3 (7) of the Heavy Motor Vehicle Regulations 1955,* the Commissioner of Transport hereby approves the Waikato County Council’s proposed classification of the road described in the Schedule hereto.

Classification of State Highways

Pursuant to regulation 3 (6) of the Heavy Motor Vehicle Regulations 1955,* the Commissioner of Transport, as required by the National Roads Board, hereby revokes so much of the Warrants dated the 29th day of June 1950† and the 20th day of October 1950‡ as relates to the sections of State highways described in the Schedule hereto and hereby declares that the said sections of State highways shall belong to the class as set out in the said Schedule.

Situated within Waimea and Golden Bay Counties—
The Richmond-Collingwood State Highway No. 53 (that portion from Riwaka to Collingwood).

Situated within Marlborough and Awatere Counties—
The Picton-Christchurch State Highway No. 51 (that portion from Picton to Tirohanga excluding those portions of the said State highway within the Boroughs of Picton and Blenheim).
