PURSUANT to the Wildlife Act 1953, His Excellency the Governor-General, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council, hereby makes the following order.

O R D E R
- This order may be cited as the Hawera and Stratford Acclimatisation Districts Boundaries Amending Order 1960.
- This order shall come into force on the day after the date of its notification in the Gazette.
- The boundaries of the Hawera Acclimatisation District, as described in Gazette, 12 March 1925, Vol. I, page 750, are hereby revoked and the boundaries of the aforementioned acclimatisation district shall henceforth be as described in the First Schedule hereto.
- The boundaries of the Stratford Acclimatisation District, as described in Gazette, 12 March 1925, page 752, are hereby revoked and the boundaries of the aforementioned acclimatisation district shall henceforth be as described in the Second Schedule hereto.

FIRST SCHEDULE
HAWERA ACCLIMATISATION DISTRICT
ALL that area in the Taranaki and Wellington Land Districts bounded by a line commencing at the mouth of the Taungatara Stream and proceeding up the middle of that stream to its source and along a right line to the summit of Mount Egmont; thence south-easterly along a right line to the intersection of the middle of Manaia Road with the boundary of the Egmont National Park; thence southerly along the middle of Manaia Road to Opunake Road; thence easterly along the middle of Opunake Road to Hastings Road; thence south-easterly along the middle of Hastings Road to Finnerty Road; thence easterly along the middle of Finnerty Road to the middle of the Waingongoro River; thence down the middle of that river to the middle of Cornwall Road; thence easterly along the middle of Cornwall Road to the New Plymouth-Hawera State Highway; thence southerly along the middle of that highway to Anderson Road; thence easterly generally along the middle of Anderson Road to and along the middle of Rawhitiroa Road to its junction with Moeawatea Road; thence north-easterly generally along the middle of Moeawatea Road to a point in line with the southern boundary of Block V, Taurakawa Survey District; thence easterly to and along that boundary and the southern boundaries of Blocks VI and VII, Taurakawa Survey District and the production of the last-mentioned boundaries to the summit of the western watershed of the Wanganui River; thence southerly generally along the summit of that watershed passing through Waitu and Mangarau Trig. Stations to and along the middle of Pokeka Road, Pipiriki Road, and Watershed Road to a point in line with the southern boundary of Mangapapa No. 1c; thence westerly to and along the southern boundary of that section to the western boundary of Lot 1, D.P. 2764, being part of Mangapapa 1B; thence southerly generally along the western boundaries of Lot 1, D.P. 2764, and Lot 3, D.P. 2765, to the Mangaotahu Stream; thence down that stream to the western boundary of Manganuiotahu Block; thence along the western and southern boundaries of that block to Pakiri Trig. Station; thence westerly along a right line to Orangihoangi Trig. Station; thence southerly along the western boundaries of Lots 17 and 14, D.P. 918 and the eastern boundary of Lot 4, D.P. 659 to the south-eastern corner of the said Lot 4; thence down the middle of the Mangaone Stream to the eastern boundary of Section 16, Block V, Nukumaru Survey District; thence southerly along that boundary to Wharekaranga Trig. Station; thence westerly along the southern boundary of the said Section 16 to the Mangaone Stream and down the middle of that stream to and down the middle of the Waitotara River to the sea coast; thence north-westerly along the sea coast to the point of commencement.

SECOND SCHEDULE
STRATFORD ACCLIMATISATION DISTRICT
ALL that area in the Taranaki Land District bounded by a line commencing at the summit of Mount Egmont, being a point on the south-eastern boundary of the Taranaki Acclimatisation District as described in the Gazette of 1925 at page 752; thence proceeding north-easterly generally along the boundary of that district to the northern boundary of Block XV, Waro Survey District; thence easterly along that boundary and the northern boundary of Block XVI, Waro Survey District to the confiscation line; thence south-westerly along that line to the western boundary of Block XVI aforesaid; thence southerly along that boundary and its production to the 39th parallel of south latitude; thence easterly along that parallel to the Ohura River; thence down the middle of the Ohura River to and down the middle of the Wanganui River to its confluence with the Tangarakau River; thence south-westerly along a right line to Whakaihuwaka (Mount Humphries) Trig. Station; thence southerly generally along the summit of the western watershed of the Wanganui River to a point in line with the southern boundary of Block VII, Taurakawa Survey District; thence westerly to and along the southern boundary of that block and the southern boundaries of Blocks VI and V, Taurakawa Survey District and the production of the last-mentioned boundary to the middle of Moeawatea Road; thence south-westerly generally along the middle of Moeawatea Road to its junction with Rawhitiroa Road; thence westerly generally along the middle of Rawhitiroa Road to and along the middle of Anderson Road to the New Plymouth-Hawera State Highway; thence northerly along the middle of that highway to its junction with Cornwall Road; thence westerly along the middle of Cornwall Road to the middle of Waingongoro River; thence up the middle of that river to the middle of Finnerty Road; thence westerly along the middle of Finnerty Road to Hastings Road; thence north-westerly along the middle of Hastings Road to Opunake Road; thence westerly generally along the middle of Opunake Road to Manaia Road; thence northerly along the middle of Manaia Road to the boundary of the Egmont National Park; thence north-westerly along a right line to the point of commencement.

Exempting Land in the Nelson Land District from the Operation of Part III of the Coal Mines Act 1925 and Declaring it to be Crown Land

PURSUANT to the Coal Mines Act 1925, His Excellency the Governor-General hereby gives the following notice:

NOTICE
- The land described in the Schedule hereto is hereby exempted from the operation of Part III of the Coal Mines Act 1925.
- The said land is hereby declared to be Crown land subject to the Land Act 1948.

SCHEDULE
ALL that parcel of land containing 102 acres 2 roods 31 perches, more or less, being Section 84 and part Section 81, Block X, Reefton Survey District, as shown on a plan lodged in the office of the Mines Department, Head Office, Wellington, under file 6/4/80.
As witness the hand of His Excellency the Governor-General this 10th day of February 1960.

Appointment of the Otorohanga County Council to Control and Manage a Reserve

PURSUANT to the Reserves and Domains Act 1953, the Minister of Lands hereby appoints the
Otorohanga County Council
to control and manage the reserve described in the Schedule hereto subject to the provisions of the said Act as a reserve for scenic purposes.

Appointment of the Hawke’s Bay Catchment Board to Control and Manage a Reserve

PURSUANT to the Reserves and Domains Act 1953, the Minister of Lands hereby appoints the
Hawke’s Bay Catchment Board
to control and manage the reserve described in the Schedule hereto, subject to the provisions of the said Act as a reserve for soil conservation and river control purposes.
