PURSUANT to the Local Authorities Loans Act 1956, His Excellency the Governor-General, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council, hereby consents to the borrowing by the local authorities mentioned in the Schedule hereto by way of loan of the whole or any part of the respective amounts specified in that Schedule.

Authorising Secondary Uses of Land in the Borough of Alexandra, and Block I, Fraser Survey District, and Vesting the Control and Management Thereof in the Alexandra Lakeside Domain Board

HIS EXCELLENCY THE GOVERNOR-GENERAL IN COUNCIL
PURSUANT to section 37 of the Public Works Amendment Act 1948, His Excellency the Governor-General, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council, hereby makes the following order.

ORDER

(a) The land described in the Schedule hereto, being land held primarily for the development of water power (Roxburgh Power Scheme), is hereby authorised to be applied also for recreation purposes which shall be secondary uses of the land.

(b) Part III of the Reserves and Domains Act 1953 shall apply to the said land.

(c) The control and management of the said land is hereby vested in the Alexandra Lakeside Domain Board.

Constituting Winton Secondary Urban Fire District as Urban Fire District

PURSUANT to the Fire Services Act 1949, His Excellency the Governor-General, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council, hereby declares the Winton Secondary Urban Fire District to be an urban fire district by the name of the Winton Urban Fire District.

HIS EXCELLENCY THE GOVERNOR-GENERAL IN COUNCIL
PURSUANT to section 76 of the Electric Power Boards Act 1925, His Excellency the Governor-General, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council, hereby authorises the purchase by the Westland Electric Power Board from Plymouth Holdings Ltd. of the whole of the shares in Kanieri Electric Ltd., on the terms and conditions set forth in an agreement dated the 15th day of January 1959, and made between the said Board and Plymouth Holdings Ltd., a copy whereof has been deposited in the office of the New Zealand Electricity Department at Wellington.

Authorising the Auckland Harbour Bridge Authority to Lay and Use Certain Electric Lines in the Borough of Northcote

At the Government Buildings at Wellington this 4th day of February 1959
Present:
THE RIGHT HON. W. NASH PRESIDING IN COUNCIL
PURSUANT to the Public Works Act 1928, His Excellency the Governor-General, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council, hereby authorises the Auckland Harbour Bridge Authority (hereinafter with its successors and assigns referred to as the licensee), subject to the conditions hereinafter set forth, to lay, construct, put up, place, and use the electric lines described in the Schedule hereto.

CONDITIONS

IMPLIED CONDITIONS

  1. The conditions directed to be implied in all licences by the Electrical Supply Regulations 1935 and the Electrical Wiring Regulations 1935 shall be incorporated in and shall form part of this licence, except in so far as the same may be inconsistent with the provisions hereof.

LICENCE SUBJECT TO REGULATIONS

  1. The licence hereby conferred is subject to compliance by the licensee with the Electrical Supply Regulations 1935, the Electrical Wiring Regulations 1935, the Radio Interference Regulations 1958, and with all regulations hereafter made in amendment thereof or in substitution therefor respectively.

SYSTEM OF SUPPLY

  1. The system of supply shall be as described in paragraphs (a) and (f) of regulation 21-01 of the Electrical Supply Regulations 1935.

DURATION OF LICENCE

  1. Unless sooner lawfully determined this licence shall continue in force until the 31st day of March 1979.

SCHEDULE

UNDERGROUND cables for the supply of electrical energy by the systems of supply hereinbefore described, commencing from the main switchboard on the licensee’s premises adjoining the toll plaza of the Auckland Harbour Bridge at Northcote and proceeding to and across Tennyson Street and thence in a generally southerly direction along the northern approach of the said bridge to a point opposite the intersection of
