Conferring the Powers of a Tribal Executive Upon a Tribal Committee

Pursuant to section 7 of the Maori Purposes Act 1948, His Excellency the Governor-General, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council, hereby confers upon the Motiti Island Tribal Committee all the powers conferred upon a tribal executive by the Maori Social and Economic Advancement Act 1945, including the power to make bylaws, notwithstanding the provisions of section 19 or section 20 of that Act.

Pursuant to section 439 of the Maori Affairs Act 1953, His Excellency the Governor-General, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council, hereby sets apart the Maori freehold land described in the Schedule hereto as a Maori reservation for the purpose of a meeting place, recreation ground, building site, and place of historic interest, for the common use or benefit of the Ngati-Maniapoto Confederation of Tribes.

Defining the Limits of the Wanganui Harbour Pilotage District
COBHAM, Governor-General
Pursuant to section 211 of the Harbours Act 1950, I, Charles John, Viscount Cobham, the Governor-General of New Zealand, hereby define the limits of the Wanganui Harbour Pilotage District, within which pilots may act for the purposes of the said Act, to be all the waters comprised within the Harbour of Wanganui having as their inward river limit the road and pedestrian traffic bridge which crosses the Wanganui River from the south-eastern end of Victoria Avenue to Anzac Parade and commonly known as Town Bridge and having as their outward seaward limit the arc of a circle running from the landward boundary of the foreshore south-eastward of the south mole and thence into the Tasman Sea and thence to the landward boundary of the foreshore north-westward of the north mole, such arc being the arc of a circle 1¼ nautical miles radius having as its centre the signal station flagstaff at Castlecliff sited at 39° 56′ 49″ south and 174° 59′ 23″ east.

Termination of Commission
The commission of Acting Pilot Officer Richard Michael Ingham (79491) is terminated, with effect from 1 December 1959.
