✨ Special Rate Resolutions for Local Authority Loans

KENNEDY PARK DWELLING LOAN 1959, £4,000
RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE
IN pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in that
behalf by the Local Bodies' Loans Act 1926, the Napier City
Council hereby resolves as follows:
"That, for the purpose of providing the interest and other
charges on a loan of £4,000 (four thousand pounds), authorised
to be raised by the Napier City Council under the
above-mentioned Act for the purpose of erecting a dwelling
and office at Kennedy Park Motor Camp, the said Napier
City Council hereby makes and levies a special rate of decimal
nought one nine three (.0193) of a penny in the pound (£)
upon the rateable value (on the basis of the unimproved
value) of all rateable property within the City of Napier; and
that such special rate shall be an annually recurring rate
during the currency of such loan and be payable on the 31st
day of July in each and every year during the currency of
such loan, being a period of 15 years, or until the loan is
fully paid off."
LOWER HUTT CITY COUNCIL
RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE
Normandale Water Supply Loan 1959, £11,500
THAT, in pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in
that behalf by the Local Authorities Loans Act 1956, the
Lower Hutt City Council hereby resolved as follows:
"That, for the purpose of providing the interest and other
charges on a loan of eleven thousand five hundred pounds
(£11,500) authorised to be raised by the Lower Hutt City
Council under the above-mentioned Act for the purpose of
installing water reticulation at Normandale, the said Lower
Hutt City Council hereby makes and levies a special rate of
ninety-four thousandths of a penny (.094d.) in the pound (£)
on the rateable value (on the basis of the annual value) of all
rateable property in the City of Lower Hutt and that such
special rate shall be an annually recurring rate during the
currency of such loan and be payable yearly on or about the
1st day of August in each and every year during the currency
of such loan, being a period of twenty-five years, or until the
loan is paid off."
I hereby certify that the above resolution was duly passed
at the meeting of the Lower Hutt City Council held on the
12th day of November 1959.

CHRISTCHURCH CITY COUNCIL
RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE
Pensioners' Cottages (Lyttelton Street) Loan 1959, £13,180
IN pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in that
behalf by the Local Authorities Loans Act 1956 and its
amendments and all other powers it in that behalf enabling,
the Christchurch City Council hereby resolves as follows:
"That, for the purpose of providing principal, interest, and
other charges on a loan of thirteen thousand one hundred and
eighty pounds (£13,180) authorised to be raised by the Christ-
church City Council under the above-mentioned Act for the
purpose of providing housing for aged people, the said
Christchurch City Council hereby makes and levies a special
rate of one thousand two hundred and eighty-one/two hun-
dred and fifty thousandths of a penny (1281/250000d.) in
the pound (£0·00002135) on the rateable value (on the basis
of the unimproved value) of all rateable property comprised
within the City of Christchurch; and that such special rate
shall be an annually recurring rate payable on demand during
the currency of the said loan, being a period of thirty (30)
years, or until the loan is fully paid off."
The Christchurch City Council, at a meeting held on the
9th day of November 1959, passed the above resolution.

RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE
Electricity Extension Loan No. 2 1959, £100,000
IN pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in that
behalf by the Local Authorities Loans Act 1956 and its
amendments and all other powers it in that behalf enabling,
the Christchurch City Council hereby resolves as follows:
"That, for the purpose of providing the principal, interest, and
other charges on a loan of one hundred thousand pounds
(£100,000) authorised to be raised by the Christchurch City
Council under the above-mentioned Act for the purpose of
extending the distribution system and electrical reticulation of
the Council's electricity undertaking, the said Christchurch
City Council hereby makes and levies a special rate of one
hundred and eighty-one thousand four hundred and thirteen/
two million five hundred thousandths of a penny
(181413/2500000d.) in the pound (£0·00030236) on the rate-
able value (on the basis of the unimproved value) of all
rateable property comprised within the City of Christchurch;
and that such special rate shall be an annually recurring rate
payable on demand during the currency of the said loan, being
a period of ten (10) years, or until the loan is fully paid off."
The Christchurch City Council, at a meeting held on the
9th day of November 1959, passed the above resolution.

Vehicle-testing Station (Cranford Street) Loan 1959, £35,000
IN pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in that
behalf by the Local Authorities Loans Act 1956 and its
amendments and all other powers it in that behalf enabling,
the Christchurch City Council hereby resolves as follows:
"That, for the purpose of providing the principal, interest, and
other charges on a loan of thirty-five thousand pounds
(£35,000) authorised to be raised by the Christchurch City
Council under the above-mentioned Act for the purpose of
erecting and equipping a vehicle-testing station, the said
Christchurch City Council hereby makes and levies a special
rate of fourteen thousand seven hundred and eighty-
seven/one million two hundred and fifty thousandths of
a penny (14787/1250000d.) in the pound (£0·00004929) on
the rateable value (on the basis of the unimproved value) of
all rateable property comprised within the City of Christ-
church; and that such special rate shall be an annually recur-
ring rate payable on demand during the currency of the said
loan, being a period of twenty (20) years, or until the loan
is fully paid off."

9th day of November 1959, passed the above resolution.

Aerodrome Development Loan 1959, £40,000
IN pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in that
behalf by the Local Authorities Loans Act 1956 and its
amendments and all other powers it in that behalf enabling,
the Christchurch City Council hereby resolves as follows:
"That, for the purpose of providing the principal, interest, and
other charges on a loan of forty thousand pounds (£40,000)
authorised to be raised by the Christchurch City Council
under the above-mentioned Act for the purpose of meeting
additional costs in developing Christchurch Airport, including
construction of a terminal building and other works, the said
Christchurch City Council hereby makes and levies a special
rate of two hundred and ninety-seven/twelve thousand five
hundredths of a penny (297/12500d.) in the pound
(£0·000099) on the rateable value (on the basis of the
unimproved value) of all rateable property comprised within
the City of Christchurch; and that such special rate shall be
an annually recurring rate payable on demand during the
currency of the said loan, being a period of twenty (20) years,
or until the loan is fully paid off."

INVERCARGILL CITY COUNCIL
RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE
IN pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in that
behalf by the Local Authorities Loans Act 1956 and of all
other powers (if any) it thereunto enabling, the Invercargill
City Council hereby resolves as follows:
"That, for the purpose of providing the annual charges on
the Housing Loan 1950, Third Issue, 1959, £3,500, authorised
to be raised by the Invercargill City Council under the
above-mentioned Act for carrying out the works specified in
the relative special order, the said Invercargill City Council
hereby makes and levies a special rate of decimal nought
nought seven pence (.007d.) in the pound (£) upon the rateable
value (on the basis of the unimproved value) of all rateable
property in the City of Invercargill; and that such special
rate shall be an annually recurring rate during the currency
of the loan and be payable yearly on the 1st day of June in
each and every year during the currency of the loan, being a
period of 25 years, or until the loan is fully paid off."
I hereby certify that the above is a true and correct copy
of a resolution passed at a meeting of the Invercargill City
Council held on Tuesday, 10 November 1959.
