WAIPAWA COUNTY COUNCIL
LINDSAY WATER RACE
PURSUANT to section 5 of the Water Supply Act 1913, notification is hereby given that the under-mentioned persons have been appointed by the Waipawa County Council to be managing ratepayers of the Lindsay Water Race:
Rowan Arthur John Hutt,
Philip Rundle,
Robert Mackie,
Colin Devenport, and
John Adams.

LOWER HUTT CITY COUNCIL
NOTICE OF INTENTION TO TAKE LAND
In the matter of the Public Works Act 1928 and its amendments and in the matter of the Municipal Corporations Act 1954 and in the matter of the Lower Hutt Borough Empowering Act 1927.
NOTICE is hereby given that the Lower Hutt City Council proposes by virtue of the above-mentioned Acts and of all other Acts and powers it thereunto enabling, to execute a public work, to wit, subdivision of land for housing in the City of Lower Hutt, and for the purpose of such public work the Council requires to take the land more particularly described in the Schedule hereto for housing purposes:
And notice is hereby further given that a plan of the said pieces of land so required to be taken is deposited at the offices of the Council, Laings Road, Lower Hutt, and is there open for inspection during ordinary office hours:
And notice is hereby further given that all persons affected by the execution of the said public work or by the taking of the said pieces of land should if they have any well grounded objection to the execution of the said public work or to the taking of the said pieces of land set forth the same in writing and send such writing within forty (40) days from the first publication of this notice to the Lower Hutt City Council at its offices situate as aforesaid.
SCHEDULE
(1) Eight acres 2 roods 10·1 perches, more or less, situate in Block VIII of the Belmont Survey District, being part of Section 66, Normandale Settlement, and being the balance of the land contained in certificate of title, Volume 455, folio 162, Wellington Registry.
(2) Fifteen acres 2 roods 1·27 perches, more or less, situate in Block VIII of the Belmont Survey District, being part of Section 73, Normandale Settlement, and being all the land contained in certificate of title, Volume 551, folio 245, Wellington Registry.

TAKAPUNA BOROUGH COUNCIL
RESOLUTION MAKING AND LEVYING SPECIAL RATE
Pensioners' Flats Loan 1959, £9,800
IN pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf by the Local Authorities Loans Act 1956, the Takapuna Borough Council hereby resolves as follows:
"That, for the purpose of providing the interest and other charges on the Pensioners' Flats Loan 1959, being the sum of nine thousand eight hundred pounds (£9,800) authorised to be raised by the Takapuna Borough Council by way of special loan under the above-mentioned Act for the purpose of erecting flats for pensioners, the Takapuna Borough Council makes and levies a special rate of decimal nought two one of one penny (.021d.) in the pound (£) on the rateable value (on the basis of the unimproved value) of all rateable property in the Borough of Takapuna; and that such special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of such loan and be payable yearly on the 1st day of July in each and every year during the currency of such loan, being a period of thirty (30) years, or until the loan is fully paid off."
I hereby certify that the above resolution was duly passed at an ordinary meeting of the Takapuna Borough Council held on 10 November 1959.

BOROUGH OF MOUNT ROSKILL
RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE
Composite Loan 1959, £24,500
IN pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf by the Local Authorities Loans Act 1956, the Mount Roskill Borough Council hereby resolves as follows:
"That for the purpose of providing interest and other charges on a loan of twenty-four thousand five hundred pounds (£24,500) authorised to be raised by the Mount Roskill Borough Council under the above-mentioned Act for the purposes of installing a 10 in. feeder water main from The Drive, Epsom to Quentin Avenue and installing screwdowm hydrants £9,900, and the installation of traffic signals at Mount Albert Road - Pah Road intersection £2,500, and the reinstatement of portion of Manukau Road after the lifting of tram tracks and payment for extra roading in certain housing blocks £11,200, and contingencies and cost of raising £900, the said Mount Roskill Borough Council hereby makes and levies a special rate of decimal 076 pence (.076d.) in the pound (£) upon the rateable value (on the basis of the unimproved value) of all rateable property in the Borough of Mount Roskill; and that such special rate shall be an annualrecurring rate during the currency of the said loan and be payable yearly on the 1st day of April in each and every year during the currency of such loan, being for a period of twenty (20) years, or until the loan is fully paid off."
Passed at a special meeting of the Council held on the 10th day of November 1959.

BOROUGH OF TAUMARUNUI
RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE
Restoration Flood Damage Hydro-electric Headworks Loan 1959, £10,000
THAT, in pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf by the Local Authorities Loans Act 1956, the Taumarunui Borough Council hereby resolves as follows:
"That, for the purpose of providing the annual charges on a loan of £10,000 authorised to be raised by the Taumarunui Borough Council under the above-mentioned Act for the restoration of flood damage to the Council's hydro-electric headworks, the said Taumarunui Borough Council hereby makes a special rate of thirteen thirty-seconds of a penny (13/32d.) in the pound (£) upon the rateable value (on the basis of the unimproved value) of all rateable property of the Borough of Taumarunui, and that the special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of the loan and be payable yearly on the 1st day of August in each and every year during the currency of the loan, being a period of 15 years, or until the loan is fully paid off."
I hereby certify that the above is a true and correct copy of a resolution passed by the Taumarunui Borough Council on Monday, 16 November 1959.

BOROUGH OF TAUMARUNUI
RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE
Flood Damage Loan 1959, £15,000
THAT, in pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf by the Local Authorities Loans Act 1956, the Taumarunui Borough Council hereby resolves as follows:
"That, for the purpose of providing the annual charges on a loan of £15,000 authorised to be raised by the Taumarunui Borough Council under the above-mentioned Act for the restoration and repair of stopbanks within the Borough on the Wanganui River, the said Taumarunui Borough Council hereby makes a special rate of thirty-nine sixty-fourths of a penny (39/64d.) in the pound (£) upon the rateable value (on the basis of the unimproved value) of all rateable property of the Borough of Taumarunui, and that the special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of the loan and be payable yearly on the 1st day of August in each and every year during the currency of the loan, being a period of fifteen years, or until the loan is fully paid off."
I hereby certify that the above is a true and correct copy of a resolution passed by the Taumarunui Borough Council on Monday, 16 November 1959.
