Reservation of Land and Vesting in the Waimairi County Council

PURSUANT to the Land Act 1948, the Minister of Lands hereby sets apart the land described in the Schedule hereto as a reserve for recreation purposes, and further, pursuant to the Reserves and Domains Act 1953, vests the said reserve in the Chairman, Councillors, and Inhabitants of the County of Waimairi, in trust, for that purpose.

Special Arrangements for the Provision of Medical and Pharmaceutical Services for Residents of Collingwood Special Area

NOTICE is hereby given that, pursuant to section 82 of the Social Security Act 1938, the Minister of Health has made special arrangements by which all persons for the time being resident in the area described in the Schedule hereto are, on and after the 11th day of November 1959, entitled to receive, without charge, at the hands of Stanley Peter Lay, of Collingwood, registered medical practitioner, all such medical and pharmaceutical requirements as are provided as benefits in accordance with the Social Security (Medical Benefits) Regulations 1941 and the Social Security (Pharmaceutical Supplies) Regulations 1941.
The notice dated 6 May 1952, published in the Gazette of 15 May 1952, Vol. II, at page 877, relating to special arrangements for the residents of Collingwood County, is hereby cancelled.

ALL that area in the Nelson Land District, comprising part of the County of Golden Bay, bounded by a line commencing in the middle of the mouth of the Kahurangi River and proceeding generally north-easterly and southerly along the sea coast of the Tasman Sea and Golden Bay to the middle of the mouth of the Pariwhakaoho River; thence south-westerly along a right line to the junction of the Haupiri and Hardy Ranges, along the summit of the Hardy and Douglas Ranges to Kakapo Peak, and along the summit of the watershed between the Cobb and Aorere Rivers to the Peel Range in Block XIV, Wai-ngaro Survey District; thence north-westerly generally along the summit of the Peel Range passing over Aorere Peak and Mount Domett; thence north-easterly along the summit of the Tasman Mountains passing over Muriel and Flanagan to Mount Gouland; thence north-westerly along the north-eastern watershed of the Heaphy River to the source of the northern branch of the Kahurangi River in Block VI, Kahurangi Survey District; thence down the middle of the said northern branch and the Kahurangi River to the point of commencement.
