Varying a Proclamation Declaring Parts of New Zealand to be a Tribal District Under the Maori Social and Economic Advancement Act 1945

A PROCLAMATION

PURSUANT to section 6 (2) of the Maori Social and Economic Advancement Act 1945, I, Charles John, Viscount Cobham, the Governor-General of New Zealand, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council, hereby vary a Proclamation dated 2 February 1957 and published in the Gazette on 14 February 1957, Volume I, page 205, declaring parts of New Zealand to be tribal districts under the Maori Social and Economic Advancement Act 1945, by deleting from the Schedule thereto the description of the Orimupiko Tribal District and substituting therefor the description appearing in the Schedule hereto.

SCHEDULE

CENTRAL TARANAKI TRIBAL DISTRICT

ALL that area in the Taranaki Land District bounded by a line commencing at a point on the sea coast in the middle of the mouth of the Oaonui River, Block V, Opunake Survey District; thence proceeding north-easterly generally up the middle of that river to the boundary of the Egmont National Park; thence south-easterly generally along the said boundary of the Egmont National Park to the middle of the Oeo River, Block VI, Kaupokonui Survey District; thence south-westerly generally down the middle of that river to its intersection with the middle of the Oeo Road in Block IX, Kaupokonui Survey District; thence southerly along the middle of the Oeo Road to its intersection with the middle of Skeet Road; thence easterly along the middle of Skeet Road to its intersection with the middle of Rawa Stream in Block XIII, Kaupokonui Survey District; thence down the middle of Rawa Stream to its mouth; thence north-westerly along the sea coast to the point of commencement.

Declaring Land to be Crown Land

COBHAM, Governor-General

A PROCLAMATION

PURSUANT to section 265 of the Maori Affairs Act 1953, I, Charles John, Viscount Cobham, the Governor-General of New Zealand, hereby declare the lands described in the Schedule hereto to be Crown land and to be subject to the Land Act 1948.

Declaring Lands in Canterbury Land District Vested in the Canterbury Education Board as Sites for Public Schools to be Vested in Her Majesty the Queen

COBHAM, Governor-General

A PROCLAMATION

PURSUANT to subsection (6) of section 5 of the Education Lands Act 1949, I, Charles John, Viscount Cobham, the Governor-General of New Zealand, hereby proclaim and declare that the lands described in the Schedule hereto, being areas vested in the Canterbury Education Board as sites for public schools, shall be vested in Her Majesty the Queen, freed and discharged from every educational trust affecting the same, but subject to all leases, encumbrances, liens, or easements affecting the same at the date hereof.

CANTERBURY LAND DISTRICT

RESERVE 3678, situated in Block VII, Opawa Survey District: Area, 5 acres 2 roods, more or less. (S.O. Plan 1524L.)
