The Standards Act 1941—Draft New Zealand Standard Specification. New Zealand Standard Model Bylaw (N.Z.S.S. 95) D.5812: Draft Part VIII, Residential Buildings

PURSUANT to subsection (3) of section 8 of the Standards Act 1941, notice is hereby given that the above draft New Zealand standard specification is being circulated.

All persons who may be affected by this specification and who desire to comment thereon may, on application, obtain copies free of charge from the New Zealand Standards Institute, 201 Lambton Quay (P.O. Box 195), Wellington C.1.

The closing date for the receipt of comment is 14 December 1959.

Releasing Land from the Provisions of Part XXIV of the Maori Affairs Act 1953 (Putauaki Development Scheme)

PURSUANT to section 332 of the Maori Affairs Act 1953, the Board of Maori Affairs hereby declares that, on the date of the publication of this notice in the Gazette, the land described in the Schedule hereto shall cease to be subject to the provisions of Part XXIV of the Maori Affairs Act 1953, the said land being so subject by virtue of a notice dated 26 August 1937 and published in the Gazette, 2 September 1937, Volume III, page 2108.

PURSUANT to section 331 of the Maori Affairs Act 1953, the Board of Maori Affairs hereby declares that, on the date of the publication of this notice in the Gazette, the land described in the First and Second Schedules hereto shall cease to be subject to the provisions of Part XXIV of the Maori Affairs Act 1953, the said land in the First Schedule being so subject by virtue of a notice dated 21 June 1937 and published in the Gazette, 24 June 1937, Volume II, page 1544, and the said land in the Second Schedule being so subject by narration in certificate of title, Volume 839, folio 126.

Special Order Made by Makara County Council Altering Riding Boundaries

PURSUANT to section 88 of the Counties Act 1956, the Secretary for Internal Affairs hereby publishes the following special order made by the Makara County Council.

SPECIAL ORDER

IN exercise of the powers conferred upon it by section 23 of the Counties Act 1956, the Makara County Council hereby resolves, by way of special order, as follows:

  1. The present division of the County of Makara into four ridings, namely, Makara, Ohariu, Belmont, and Porirua is hereby revoked, and in lieu thereof the said county shall be divided into two ridings, to be called respectively, Makara Riding and Porirua Riding, which said ridings are separately described in the Schedule hereto.

  2. The alterations hereby made shall take effect on and after the 19th day of October 1959.

BOUNDARIES OF MAKARA RIDING

ALL that area in the County of Makara bounded by a line commencing at the intersection of the eastern boundary of Lot 1, D.P. 752, with the mean high-water mark, Cook Strait, being a point on the boundary of the County of Makara as
