Releasing Land from the Provisions of Part XXIV of the Maori Affairs Act 1953 (Korohe Development Scheme)

PURSUANT to section 332 of the Maori Affairs Act 1953, the Board of Maori Affairs hereby declares that on the date of the publication of this notice in the Gazette the land described in the Schedule hereto shall cease to be subject to the provisions of Part XXIV of the Maori Affairs Act 1953, the said land being so subject by virtue of a notice dated 31 August 1937 and published in the Gazette, 9 September 1937, Volume III, page 2161.

The Citrus Canker Regulations 1952 (Notice No. Ag. 6842)

REVOCATION OF DECLARATIONS OF INFECTED AREAS

PURSUANT to regulation 7 of the Citrus Canker Regulations 1952, the declarations of the pieces of land described in the Schedule hereto as infected areas are hereby revoked.

SCHEDULE

DECLARATION made on the 16th day of May 1957, and published in Gazette, 1957, Vol. II, p. 844.

All that piece of land containing 1 rood, more or less, being Section 7, Block 72, Township of Waitara West.

Declaration made on the 22nd day of August 1957, Vol. II, p. 1549.

All that piece of land containing 1 rood 0·3 perches, more or less, being Lot 1, D.P. 6814, Block 44, Township of Waitara West.

Plants Declared Noxious Weeds in Taupo County
(Notice No. Ag. 6841)

PURSUANT to section 3 of the Noxious Weeds Act 1950, the Director-General of Agriculture, acting under a delegation from the Minister of Agriculture for the purposes of the said section, hereby publishes the following special order made by the Taupo County Commissioner on the 17th day of August 1959.

SPECIAL ORDER

THE Council of the County of Taupo, acting in pursuance of the powers conferred upon it by the Counties Act 1956 and the Noxious Weeds Act 1950, and acting through the Taupo County Commissioner pursuant to the powers contained in the Taupo County Act 1954, hereby resolves by way of special order to declare the under-mentioned plants to be noxious weeds within the whole of the district of Taupo County:

Montpelier broom (Cytisus monspessulanus).
Hemlock (Conium maculatum).

Fixing the Rates of Levy to be Charged on Wool for Season Commencing 1 October 1959

PURSUANT to section 12 of the Wool Industry Act 1944, the New Zealand Wool Board hereby fixes the following rates of the levy to be charged on all wool which is produced in New Zealand and which, during the season commencing on the 1st day of October 1959, is exported from New Zealand or is delivered to a wool manufacturer for use in New Zealand:

Declaration of Result of Election of Potato Growers’ Representative on the Potato Board

I, Neil John McHugh, Returning Officer of the Potato Board Election, do hereby declare that Charles Thomas Williams, being the only person nominated to represent the Central Ward on the Potato Board, is elected a member of the Board as from the 24th day of September 1959.

Notice of Election by the Public Trustee to Become Manager Under Part V of the Public Trust Office Act 1957 (Unclaimed Property)

WHEREAS the Public Trustee has, for the purposes of Part V of the Public Trust Office Act 1957 (relating to unclaimed property), made due inquiries with respect to the lands described in the Schedule hereunder and the whereabouts of the owners thereof; and whereas the Public Trustee has been unable to ascertain the whereabouts of the owners of the said lands or whether they are dead or alive; and whereas the Public Trustee is satisfied that it is advisable in the interests of the owners of the said lands and in the interests of other persons and to secure the development or better utilisation of the said lands that he should become the manager of the said lands under Part V of the Public Trust Office Act 1957; and whereas the Public Trustee estimates that the gross value of the said lands does not exceed in all the sum of two thousand pounds (£2,000). Now, therefore, in pursuance of section 80 of the Public Trust Office Act 1957, the Public Trustee hereby elects to become the manager of the said lands.

SCHEDULE

FIRSTLY, all that piece of land containing 32 perches, more or less, being Lot 311 of Block XII of the Township of Normanby, which said township is portion of the rural allotment number 561 on the public map of the Patea District and the whole of the land comprised in certificate of title, Volume 2, folio 21 of the register books in the Lands Registry Office at New Plymouth, the registered proprietor of which is Agnes Macfarlane Skeet, of New Plymouth, widow.

Secondly, all that piece of land containing 32 perches, more or less, being Lot 314 on the plan of the Normanby Township deposited as Plan No. 4 and being part of Section 561 delineated on the public map of the Patea District and being the whole of the land comprised in certificate of title, Volume 22, folio 3 of the register books in the Lands Registry Office at New Plymouth, the registered proprietor of which is Amy Edith Davis, of Wanganui, spinster.

Thirdly, all that piece of land containing 32 perches, more or less, being Lot 318 of Block XII, Deposited Plan 4, which said piece of land is part of rural allotment 561 delineated on the public map of the Patea District and being the whole of the land comprised in certificate of title, Volume 4, folio 237 of the register books in the Lands Registry Office at New Plymouth, the registered proprietor of which is Edith Adelina Curtis, of Normanby, spinster.
