Revoking in Part a Proclamation Taking Land for the Awakaponga-Kawerau Railway and for Road Diversions in Connection Therewith in Blocks II, V, VI, and IX, Rangitaiki Upper Survey District

A PROCLAMATION

PURSUANT to the Public Works Act 1928, I, Charles John, Viscount Cobham, the Governor-General of New Zealand, hereby revoke the Proclamation dated the 21st day of August 1958 and published in Gazette, 28 August 1958, Volume II, page 1127, taking land for the Awakaponga-Kawerau Railway and for road diversions in connection therewith in Blocks II, V, VI, and IX, Rangitaiki Upper Survey District, in so far as it affects the land described in the Schedule hereto.

SCHEDULE

SOUTH AUCKLAND LAND DISTRICT

ALL that piece of land containing 2 roods 7·6 perches, situated in Block IX, Rangitaiki Upper Survey District, Auckland R.D., being part Section 24; as the same is more particularly delineated on the plan marked P.W.D. 156827 (S.O. 38502) deposited in the office of the Minister of Works at Wellington, and thereon coloured yellow.

PURSUANT to section 18 of the Forests Act 1949, I, Charles John, Viscount Cobham, the Governor-General of New Zealand, hereby set apart the Crown land described in the Schedule hereto as provisional State forest land.

HAUHUNGAROA No. 2d 2 Block, situated in Blocks VI, VII, X, XI, and XIV, Puketapu Survey District, Taumarunui County: Area, 7,640 acres and 31 perches, more or less. Part certificate of title, Volume 382, folio 203. Shown on plan No. 53/18 deposited in the Head Office of the New Zealand Forest Service at Wellington, and thereon bordered red.

Boundaries of County of Hawera and Borough of Hawera Altered

ORDER IN COUNCIL

At the Government House at Wellington this 1st day of September 1959

Present:

HIS EXCELLENCY THE GOVERNOR-GENERAL IN COUNCIL

PURSUANT to the Local Government Commission Act 1953, His Excellency the Governor-General, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council, hereby makes the following order.

ORDER

  1. On and from the 1st day of April 1960, the area described in the Schedule hereto is hereby excluded from the County of Hawera and included in the Borough of Hawera.

  2. The alteration of the boundaries of the said county and the said borough hereinbefore made shall be deemed to have been effected under the Municipal Corporations Act 1954.

SCHEDULE

AREA EXCLUDED FROM COUNTY OF HAWERA AND INCLUDED IN BOROUGH OF HAWERA

ALL that area situated in the County of Hawera containing 2 acres and 24·6 perches, more or less, bounded by a line commencing at the south-western corner of Lot 1, D.P. 7989, and proceeding northerly along the eastern boundary of Lot 2, D.P. 3770, to South Road; thence along the continuation of the aforesaid boundary across South Road to its northern side; thence easterly along the northern side of South Road to its intersection with the western side of Waihi Road; thence along a right line across South Road to the northernmost corner of Section 213, Patea District; thence along a right line across Denby Road to the southernmost corner of Lot 5, D.P. 7989; thence southerly along the western side of Denby Road to a point in line with the southern boundary of Lot 4, D.P. 7989; thence westerly along a right line to and westerly along the southern boundary of the said Lot 4 and the southern boundaries of Lots 3, 2, and 1, D.P. 7989, to the point of commencement.
