ALL that parcel of land containing 1 acre 3 roods 19 perches,
more or less, situated in the District of Alofi in the Island of
Niue, Cook Islands, being the whole of the land known as
Maluaga No. 1, Section 53, Alofi District, and being all the
land comprised in an order of the Native Land Court made
on the 22nd day of June 1950 on investigation of title; as the
same is more particularly delineated on the plan signed by
the Resident Commissioner of Niue and deposited in the
office of the Registrar, Native Land Court, Niue, under
No. 40.

Amendment No. 1

Present:

HIS EXCELLENCY THE GOVERNOR-GENERAL IN COUNCIL

Pursuant to section 90 of the Education Act 1914, as
amended by section 10 of the Education Amendment Act
1952, His Excellency the Governor-General, acting by and
with the advice and consent of the Executive Council, hereby
makes the following order.

ORDER

  1. This order may be cited as the Rotorua High School
    Board of Governors Order 1959, Amendment No. 1, and
    shall be read together with and deemed part of the Rotorua
    High School Board of Governors Order 1959* (hereinafter
    referred to as the principal order).

  2. Clause 2 of the principal order is hereby amended by
    revoking paragraph (c), and substituting the following
    paragraph:

“(c) Two members appointed by the Governor-General:”

Pursuant to the Local Authorities Loans Act 1956, His
Excellency the Governor-General, acting by and with the
advice and consent of the Executive Council, hereby consents
to the borrowing by the local authorities mentioned in the
Schedule hereto by way of loan of the whole or any part of
the respective amounts specified in that Schedule.

Pursuant to sections 175 and 265 of the Harbours Act 1950,
His Excellency the Governor-General, acting by and with
the advice and consent of the Executive Council, hereby
validates the reclamation by the Whangarei Harbour Board
of the lands containing 30 perches, more or less, outlined in
red on plan marked M.D. 10602 and deposited in the office
of the Marine Department at Wellington, and hereby vests
the said land in the Board on and from the 1st day of June
1959.

The Grey Electric Power Board Electric Lines Licence 1959

ORDER IN COUNCIL

At the Government House at Wellington this 26th day of
August 1959

Present:

HIS EXCELLENCY THE GOVERNOR-GENERAL IN COUNCIL

Pursuant to the Public Works Act 1928 and the Electric
Power Boards Act 1925, His Excellency the Governor-General,
acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive
Council, hereby makes the following order.

LICENCE

  1. This order may be cited as the Grey Electric Power
    Board Electric Lines Licence 1959.

  2. Subject to the conditions hereinafter set forth, the Grey
    Electric Power Board (hereinafter referred to as the licensee)
    is hereby authorised to lay, construct, put up, place, and use
    electric lines and to construct electric works within the area
    of supply described in the First Schedule hereto.

  3. The conditions directed to be implied in all licences by
    the Electrical Supply Regulations 1935 and the Electrical
    Wiring Regulations 1935 shall be incorporated herein and
    shall form part of this licence, except in so far as they may
    be inconsistent with the provisions of this licence.

  4. The licence hereby conferred is subject to compliance
    by the licensee with the Electrical Supply Regulations 1935,
    the Electrical Wiring Regulations 1935, the Radio Interference
    Regulations 1958, and with all regulations made in amendment
    thereof or in substitution therefor, except in so far as they
    may be inconsistent with the provisions of this licence:

Provided that the licensee shall not by virtue of this clause
be required, except in the normal course of alteration, repair,
or maintenance, to reconstruct in conformity with the regula-
tions hereinbefore mentioned any existing electric line or
work which conformed to the regulations in force at the
time of the construction thereof, and has not become a
hazardous line as described in the Electrical Supply Regulations
1935.

  1. The systems of supply shall be as described in paragraphs
    (a), (b), (c), (d), (e), (f), and (h) of regulation 21–01
    of the Electrical Supply Regulations 1935.

  2. This licence shall, unless it is sooner lawfully determined,
    continue in force until the 5th day of July 1966.

  3. The Orders in Council specified in the Second Schedule
    hereto authorising the licensee to erect and use electric lines
    and to construct electric works are hereby revoked.

AREA OF SUPPLY

The Grey Electric Power District as defined in the Second
Schedule to the Proclamation dated the 14th day of April
1959 and published in the Gazette on the 23rd day of the
same month at page 517.
