Allocating Land Acquired for Railway Purposes at Tisbury
to the Purposes of a Road

A PROCLAMATION
PURSUANT to section 226 of the Public Works Act 1928, I,
Charles John, Viscount Cobham, the Governor-General of
New Zealand, hereby proclaim and declare that the land
described in the Schedule hereto shall, upon the publication
hereof in the Gazette, become a road; and that the said road
shall be under the control of the Southland County Council
and shall be maintained by the said Council in like manner
as other public highways are controlled and maintained by
the said Council.
SCHEDULE
APPROXIMATE area of the piece of land allocated to road:
3 roods 4 perches.
Being railway land adjoining part Section 15, Block XXII,
Invercargill Hundred.
Situated in Southland County. (S.O. 6591.)
In the Southland Land District; as the same is more par-
ticularly delineated on the plan marked L.O. 16139 deposited
in the office of the Minister of Railways at Wellington, and
thereon coloured orange.
Given under the hand of His Excellency the Governor-
General, and issued under the Seal of New Zealand,
this 18th day of August 1959.

Manurewa Altered

At the Government House at Wellington this 26th day of
August 1959
Present:
HIS EXCELLENCY THE GOVERNOR-GENERAL IN COUNCIL
PURSUANT to the Local Government Commission Act 1953,
His Excellency the Governor-General, acting by and with the
advice and consent of the Executive Council, hereby makes the
following order.
ORDER
1.On and from the 1st day of October 1959, the areas
described in the First Schedule hereto are hereby excluded
from the County of Manukau and included in the Borough
of Manurewa.
2.On and from the date aforesaid the areas described in the
Second Schedule hereto are hereby excluded from the
Borough of Manurewa and included in the County of
Manukau.
3.The alteration of boundaries of the said county and the
said borough hereinbefore made shall be deemed to have
been effected under the Municipal Corporations Act 1954.
FIRST SCHEDULE
AREAS EXCLUDED FROM COUNTY OF MANUKAU AND INCLUDED
IN BOROUGH OF MANUREWA
ALL that area in the North Auckland Land District containing
90 acres, more or less, commencing at a point on the northern
boundary of the Borough of Manurewa, being its intersection
with the northern boundary of Lot 3, D.P. 40304, in Block
XI, Otahuhu Survey District, and proceeding easterly gen-
erally along the northern boundaries of Lots 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9,
and 10, D.P. 41715, along a right line across Lots 4 and 5,
D.P. 41715, along the northern boundaries of Lots 11, 12, 13,
14, and the northern and eastern boundaries of Lot 15, D.P.
40304, to and along the northern boundary of Lot 1, D.P.
43894, along a right line across Lot 2, D.P. 43894, to and
along the northern boundary of part Clendons Grant, com-
prised in certificate of title 877/184, and that boundary pro-
duced across Lot 2, D.P. 43894, and Lot 2, D.P. 41691, to and
along the western and northern boundaries of Lot 1 and the
northern boundary of Lot 2, D.P. 39652, along a right line
across Lot 3, to and along the northern boundary of Lot 4,
D.P. 39652, and the last-mentioned boundary produced to the
western boundary of the Auckland-Hamilton Motorway;
thence south-easterly along that western boundary to its inter-
section with the boundary of the Borough of Manurewa,
being the south-eastern boundary of part Clendons Grant
shown on D.P. 12411; thence north-westerly generally along
the boundary of the Borough of Manurewa as described in
Gazette, 1954, page 2081, to the point of commencement.
Also all that area in the North Auckland Land District
containing 12 acres, more or less, commencing at a
point on the eastern boundary of the Borough of
Manurewa on the old southern side of Alfriston Road
in line with the western boundary of Lot 1, D.P.
16622, in Block XIV, Otahuhu Survey District, and pro-
ceeding easterly and southerly generally along the northern
and eastern boundaries of the area of 18·3 perches taken for
a road by Gazette, 1956, page 3, to and along the western
side of the area of 6 acres 3 roods 24·1 perches, taken for a
motorway by Gazette, 1956, page 4, both the aforesaid areas
being shown on S.O. Plan 39029 to the eastern side of
Scotts Road; thence northerly and easterly generally along the
boundary of the Borough of Manurewa as described by
Gazette, 1954, page 2081, to the point of commencement.
Also all that area of land in the North Auckland Land Dis-
trict containing 85 acres, more or less, commencing at a point on
the boundary of the Borough of Manurewa, being the south-
eastern corner of Lot 4, D.P. 22404, in Block XIV, Otahuhu
Survey District, and proceeding westerly along the northern
side of Leabank Road crossing the southern end of Fried-
lander Road to and northerly along the eastern boundaries
of Lot 32, D.P. 16664, and Lot 2, D.P. 25887, crossing the
intervening public road to and easterly along the southern
side of Weymouth Road crossing the northern end of Fried-
lander Road to a point in line with the south-eastern corner of
Lot 2, D.P. 17343; thence north-easterly along a right line
in the direction of the south-eastern corner of the aforesaid
Lot 2 to the middle of Weymouth Road; thence north-easterly
and south-easterly generally along the boundary of the Borough
of Manurewa as described in Gazette, 1954, page 2081, to the
point of commencement.
SECOND SCHEDULE
AREAS EXCLUDED FROM BOROUGH OF MANUREWA AND
INCLUDED IN COUNTY OF MANUKAU
ALL that area in the North Auckland Land District and the
Borough of Manurewa containing 3 acres, more or less,
bounded by a line commencing at the intersection of the
south-eastern boundary of part Clendons Grant as shown
on D.P. 12411 with the western boundary of the Auckland-
Hamilton Motorway in Block XI, Otahuhu Survey District,
and proceeding easterly and southerly generally along the
boundary of the Borough of Manurewa as described in
Gazette, 1954, page 2081, to the north-western corner of part
Lot 19, D.P. 10693; thence south-westerly and north-westerly
generally along the southern and western boundaries of Lot
2, D.P. 12236, taken for motorway by Gazette, 1956, page
1769, along a right line across Hill Road to and along the
western boundary of the Auckland-Hamilton Motorway to
the point of commencement.
Also all that area in the North Auckland Land District and
the Borough of Manurewa containing 1¼ acres, more or less,
bounded by a line commencing at a point being the north-
eastern corner of an area of 2 acres 1 rood 27·8 perches,
being part Lot 19, D.P. 10693, shown on S.O. Plan 39597, in
Block XIV, Otahuhu Survey District, and proceeding south-
easterly along the boundary of the Borough of Manurewa as
described in Gazette, 1954, page 2081, to the southernmost
corner of Lot 15, D.P. 44472; thence north-easterly generally
along the north-eastern boundaries of Lots 14, 10, 9, and 8,
D.P. 44472, and the north-eastern boundary of part Lot 19,
D.P. 10693 aforesaid, to the point of commencement.
Also all that area in the North Auckland Land District and
the Borough of Manurewa containing 1 acre, more or less,
bounded by a line commencing on the eastern side of Scotts
Road being the southernmost corner of an area of 11 acres 3
roods 7 perches, taken for the use, convenience, or enjoy-
ment of the Auckland-Hamilton Motorway by Gazette, 1955,
page 1831, and shown on S.O. Plan 39029, in Block XIV,
Otahuhu Survey District, and proceeding southerly generally
along the boundary of the Borough of Manurewa to a point
in line with the western boundary of an area of 0·5 perches,
to be taken for a motorway and shown on S.O. Plan 41205;
thence along a right line across Myers Road to and along that
western boundary and the western boundaries of areas of
20·8 perches and 0·5 perches to be taken for a motorway
and shown on S.O. Plan 41205 and along a right line across
Scotts Road to the point of commencement.

namely, public buildings.
